The one Mario game that Bowser almost won, that is the reason I will always remember this game. He was close to winning and conquering Mushroom Kingdom.
Man, this song shook my soul when i was a child. it's like even without the star rod do you stand a chance? whole world riding on this battle, lights flickering. oh god the goosebumps still crawl on my skin and the tension mounts at my throat
IT'S EVERYTHING WE COULD HAVE WISHED FOR AND MORE >nintendo decides the inferior mario&luiji saga will be their mario rpg game franchise why...........................
@@iamLI3 but in actuality how is the mario and luigi inferior? (I'm not saying that YoU hAvE tO lIkE tHeSe GaMeS nO mAtTeR wHaT but I'm just curious to what reason you may have)
This in my opinion is a boss battle that really makes you think on your feet. He can hit hard and heal himself more than you can hit in two turns. One bad ass koopa!
When you hear this song, you know you are in for a hell of a fight. The organ gives you the feeling that you are battling the King of all kings. Incredible, and I have no clue how an N64 could handle it.
I personally prefer the US N64 version of King of the Koopas due to the much harsher pipe clanging used as backing percussion for the track. It fits Bowser's more menacing and threatening tone for the first Paper Mario, and especially so since its the only game in the Mario RPG/Paper Mario series with Bowser as the primary antagonist.
"The only game in the Mario RPG/Paper Mario series with Bowser as the primary antagonist", love how with that statement the reinforced feel that Sticker Star is not canon remains
True, there are a lot of songs, but even that's too many to count, including Nintendo's own series, third-party's, etc. Still, they did make a good choice about having an organ (I think that's what it is, and seems common throughout N's universe) with a hard-rock background on the Tabuu fight (that has to be the most weirdest mix in SSBB, but it fits). Either way, N makes fantastic songs, be it MIDI or orchestrated. And I still like to listen to this song.
Still, in Super Mario Galaxy Bowser was kind of like how he was in NSMBW - just sort of there because he has to be the game's final boss. In Mario and Luigi 3 he's actually part of a story that is more complicated than just "save the princess, try to take over the world (OF COURSE), get beaten by Mario, and then move onto the next game to do the same thing." I'm not saying we need character arcs in platformers or anything, but I wouldn't expect much out of him in Galaxy 2.
Always loved this game and this is the most memorable of the songs, because of the awesome notes played (can somebody make this for a GH custom, PLEASE?!). Love it.
@Odd190 The other version is the original soundtrack version (OST) If you downloaded the official soundtrack, you get the OST one. It has a few different instruments.
I knew my ears didn't deceive me when realized that guitar was too high pitched and weird in the original ost version of this track. It sounds so much better in the game lol
lol so true. Shadow Queen only took me 2 tries to beat in the Thousand Year Door. Bowser in his final form in the first game took me over a year to beat.
This mostly comes from the fact that the Mario series has become rather lighthearted since the older times and being a friend is all due to the to the fact that alot of fans want to play as him. I hate how most of the time Bowser is not much of a threat at all though. He was so easy in Galaxy that it was sad. Hopefully they fix this in the future.
@MrFloppyFish : Actually, the last game where he was supposed to be evil was Mario Bros. 3. Then Nintendo made an anime in '89 (only in Japan) where we learn Bowser is actually not that bad and kidnaps Peach because he loves her. He's shown to be quite stupid too. That evolved in Mario RPG. In Paper Mario, I, personally, felt like he was an usual but not dangerous troublemaker who got his hand on ultimate power and mis-used it.
Why? It has pretty much all the same problems as Sticker Star, just to a lesser degree. It still lacks an engaging plot, a good battle system, or characters in general. Just because it has some decent jokes doesn't really make it worthy of the Paper Mario name.
@@dobadobadooo I agree to an extent. It still has tons of problems, but it was step forward to improve the series. Now we have The Origami King, Which is different, but I still like it. But again, the first few games are still better.
@beterbomen Well every paper mario has had a different theme for each boss, and every mario and luigi has had the same theme for pretty much every boss. My bet is on paper mario 3ds having all different themes....if it ever comes out
The most fun way to go through the game is to have the D-Down jump and hammer, both charges, close call, pretty lucky and lucky day. Nothing will ever hit you. I guarantee it!
@solar464 well i take it for 2 things, for "For The Win" ( Normally with my friend, and me, they use it as a joke), while i normally use it for something like "WTF" but inverted, like "F**k The What", but i guess its signify turned into that anyway ( i mean it turned into "For The Win"), well then im just using "WTF", not "FTW" anymore ( almost... lol)...
Well most likely, but you must remember that Super Dimentio had say I think 200-50HP so 1. He couldn't be too hard because then it would be next to impossible to beat him 2. No boss can be harder Star Rod-Powered Bowser.
The final bowser music is different on the Japanese version of Paper Mario than it is on the English version (same with the Bowser's Castle music). It seems like the OST used the Japanese versions of the songs.
The one Mario game that Bowser almost won, that is the reason I will always remember this game. He was close to winning and conquering Mushroom Kingdom.

Far far away, my favorite battle song.

A iconic villain from a colorful upbeat game with a mind-rumbling theme.

Thank you! just about everyone who uploaded this uploaded the OST version!
The nostalgic feeling I get when I hear this is EPIC!
Este juego es maravilloso
Una obra de arte :,^)
El papel más importante de Mario
Con una banda sonora exquisita!
"He's still a badass, but a predictable badass, know what I mean?"
yep.....hes really predictalbe
Ironic how this was one the most RNG based fights in the game.
I need to make a list of the top 15 most epic final boss battles. THIS is without a doubt going on there!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the original! The beeping noise that somehow replaced the gutiars was driving me crazy! 5/5
That's an electric guitar. :-)
Never mind, that part is brilliant.
This and Yoshi's Island have my favorite Bowser final boss themes. Just pure metal.

love you for extending this to 4~ minutes
It is a great game soundtrack. This one is going into my collection of adrenaline music without voices.
This is fire 🔥

dude omg thank u for this it will help my videos out
Even though this is Princess Peach's castle with a little metal added, it's still badass, and it really gets you going for this fight.
Oh my God music freaking fantastic
This and Crystal King aw hell all the boss themes in this game... EPIC! Totally has final battle written all over it.
just finished this again the other day. ahhh nostalgia...
Hey, I was looking for the game version of this! Good job.

One of my personal favorite video game tracks ever! I love the ethnic sitar!
Best final boss music ever. Paper Mario is such an astounding game.
i love fighting bowser to this song makes u feel energetic
I always play this song when fighting Giga Bowser on Melee. It just fits him so perfectly, IMO.
Out of all the Bowser themes, THIS IS THE GREATEST!!!
I remember that he kept healing himself for 30 HP... Ouch. Awesome music nonetheless.
Still, in Super Mario Galaxy Bowser was kind of like how he was in NSMBW - just sort of there because he has to be the game's final boss. @Aviarmew If you look at the newest screenshots for Paper Mario 3DS it looks like Bowser is most likely taking back his leading villain role again.
O my god this music is outstanding!
It's odd how my mind has been channeling that very same thought since April 10, 2007.
Always loved this game and this is the most memorable of the songs, because of the awesome notes played (can somebody make this for a GH custom, PLEASE?!).

@Odd190 The other version is the original soundtrack version (OST) If you downloaded the official soundtrack, you get the OST one. It has a few different instruments.
I love the little guitar solo in this.
The ost one is still a game ver. 'Cause you hear it in mario story (The japanese paper mario 64)
. JJ1013 how is it there?

The Bowser & Kammy fight from Paper Mario TTYD fits him too!

You do realize Paper Mario 64 came before Super Smash Bros. Melee, right? Giga Bowser was made for Melee.

Just forget Sticker Star ever existed and accept Color Splash as the 4th game in the series

One of the best *-*
He was more of a mindless beast than a legitimately scary villain. The shiny crown sticker was more fearsome than he was in that game.
idisagree
iamLI3 could you elaborate on why?
This reminds me so much of Advance Wars series on GBA. That guitar...
@leocruzsantos those parts+Mario's hp hits 0+life shroom=the most epic thing you'll ever see in a Mario game(I've seen it when I died)
Strange. In my version of the game and soundtrack, the guitar is an octave higher.
great song
Nice riff for a nice tune for an epic battle.
