Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Something i love about these badass mike scenes is Banks' body language. He's not like this magically strong little old man, you can tell that he's putting effort into it but he's also precise. He hits with just the right amount of force, at the right moment and in exactly the right spot. That's how he does everything, even how he walks. It's fascinating to watch him do pretty much anything. I noticed this in Breaking Bad in his very first scene at Jesse's house.

    2. The other scene where he sabotages the Salamanca truck shipment by shooting at the shoe containing a bag of cocaine
    3. How he evades Lalo by sticking gum at the gate's electronic system. He starts chewing pretty early, which means he's already decided what he's going to do.

    • @davidlean1060

It's not cocaine in the sneaker., but doesn't have to be. I think there's a scene before where he buys some pills from his vet buddy. All Mike is trying to do is set the sniffer dogs at the boarder off. The smell could be anything 'druggy'. So long as it's a drug like smell in a place where druggy smells shouldn't be, like on the metal step at the back of a truck. Once the dogs showed interest, the Boarder cops would investigate fuller and that's the mission objective.
