Being a huge rollercoaster fan, this is one of the few rides in my opinion that is legitimately scary. It’s so dark and you can’t see anything other than the stars. So your body is totally unprepared for every jut and turn in the ride which means you are gonna get whipped around like a ragdoll.
When I rode it I thought I was going to get hit every 5 seconds
This ride is much more intense than Tron imo. I’ve hard people say Tron makes them incredibly sick but this is way rougher and scarier
I feel like it’s not that bad it’s my favourite ride at Disney
I screamed the whole time, felt like my stomach was getting punched too
This was my experience there as well. Haven't been to Disney in at least 12 years but the hand full of times I did ride in when I was 6-8yo I was terrified of it and just watching it brings back some of those memories.
Thats the clearest view of space mountain I have ever seen, even when I was riding it!
I totally agree!!the quality of the image,outstanding 👌
@@kiaramubiayi102 i cant tell if your being sarcastic
Because when you’re riding it, you are getting whipped all over the place
@@UrBaeIkeiI just rode it, can confirm you can fs see it better in the video, your more focused on the jerking and stuff than you are the stars, great ride though
Space Mountain: Breaking backs since 1975
I wish it wasn’t true but it basically is
every time i try to ride its closed
@@ismejillian9877 Its not for me

This is a fantastic 70s roller coaster. It’s got great speed, air time, a good duration. The single file seats add a lot of excitement.
It doesn't even reach 30mph. It's top speed is 27mph but for the majority of the ride it's closer to 20mph. It fools you into thinking you're going fast by being in the dark and changing direction a lot.
I really think they need to make a modern, space themed, coaster. Something with a far better track layout. This ride has some serious flaws. Like painful turns that have little, to no, banking and some up and down sections that are pretty rough on your back.
I don't want them to get rid of it (obviously it's a classic that should always be there) but they should give us something ultra modern so we can have both old-school and new-school. Something much more than a simple cat & mouse coaster layout (which is all Space Mountain is). Something faster, longer and more thrilling but keeping a similar theme (darkness, effects, space, etc).
@@separator94 and I Maybe also fans
@@separator94 you don't need a ton of speed -- like I said, the single file trains work in its favor. I would LOVE a high-end renovation to update the overall experience; but it's such fun, iconic, classic, and original ride, there's not too much to improve on. It does what it's supposed to do: goes up and comes down. Ah -- and it's longer than 50 seconds like most newer roller coasters and Disney rides.
@@separator94 its not rough on your back lol
@@separator94 Visit HyperSpaceMountain in Disneyland Paris. It's a forcefull indoor looping coaster.
i was so afraid of this ride when i was a kid! i remember being in line with my dad and asking him if we could take the exit and leave. i bailed out twice (that i can clearly remember), but when i finally went through with it, we had such a blast! we loved it!
it's still one of our favorites, to this day! :) i love my dad! :)
:') that's so sweet
Me and my dad went not too long ago and I was crying so hard in the line I was so scared and my dad was comforting me and my tears flew off my face on the ride and after my dad was saying “that was silly of you to cry wasnt it!” And I was thinking of how fun that was.
Omg so I went on this ride yesterday I’m actually 8 rn so believe me I was freakin terrified and closing my eyes for most of the ride
It's as if you are describing my first ride on the beloved "Space Mountain".... I was 10 yrs old, 1979, vacation with Dad. He convinced me to ride it & I was terrified. Fast forward 23 years later, I couldn't wait to ride it with my son.
Such wonderful memories....
same lol but I ended up going it was crazy you feel your stomach drop like it only goes 20 mph but it feels like 60
Literally my favorite ride, and always will be! I just love the excitement and energy this ride has, especially at 1:46! Gosh, I really miss this ride.....
I haven’t gotten to do the Halloween one, but have heard it’s amazing. I have done the Christmas one, which is frickin’ awesome!
Yes, as a little farm kid this was the most cosmic, dynamic experience I've ever had, probably because it actually felt like we were hurtling through space!I loved it so much!! We went to Disney World many years ago, wanted to go on with my son but it was closed. At least he can watch this video 😊
As much as I cross my fingers for everyone visiting and working in the park, I would love to visit the parks at this time. Some of the crowds ruin the enjoyment of the park.
I have been recently. I'm not really a parade or character person. I was able to ride almost everything with some multiple times. It's the best time to go honestly. Masks don't bother me cause there are relaxation stations to rest and take it off.
I went to Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago and it felt safer than a grocery store or even a normal street. Cast members were really good with making sure everyone wore their masks correctly (every time someone wore their mask under their nose, Cast Members would tell them to wear it properly). And it was far less crowded than it would be on a weekday in fall or spring. The only problem was that some guests didn't understand the queue rules. Every 1.5 meter, there was a large sticker where you couldn't stand so you could maintain your distance. Most people either only stood on those stickers and never between them, and others stood AROUND them (sometimes I question if humans are actually intelligent...) which completely defeats the purpose of those stickers. Luckily enough, people stopped doing that when you told them it was wrong. And if you don't wear a mask on an attraction with an on-ride photo, your photo will be censored in the viewing area to encourage mask usage. Over all, it was great and I can't wait to go back.
Definitely go. At animal kingdom I rode everything twice within 1 hour and they had to stop and clean on ride
its sooo good right now! wait times during the weekdays are unbelievably low - like space mountain being a 10 minute wait and flight of passage a 5 minute wait all day!
You know what? You're right, mate. I only wish masks were optional. Wearing a mask is torture when you have sensory issues, honestly it's been the hardest thing for me. But....mustn't complain.
I remember my grandparents thought this was a completely different ride, and me insisting it must be the roller coaster (which I did NOT want to ride) after we got sat down I looked back at my mom like 🥺 and she went "yes this is a rollercoaster, yes your grandparents are thinking of a different ride, I promise you'll be ok" and halfway through going "I'M GONNA BE SICK!" mom: you're not!! And when we were done after coming through that last tunnel going "WOO!!" And putting my arms up, and the guy letting us off going "yeah woo!! First coaster you did it!!....wanna stay on and go again?" "😄😄 No!!!!"
Lol 🤣
You could do a whole lot worse than Space Mountain, as far as first-time roller coasters go. I would've been super scared to ride this as a little kid. I rode it as an adult for the very first time a couple of years back and it was great. It's considered a classic for good reason.
Is it bc it broke your back?
And splash is scarier then space and thunder even tower of terror or mission breakout(California adventures)
That’s literally what happened to my family when we went on stitch’s great escape. We thought it was going to be fun because we went on a similar ride that used to be at kings dominion (it was with spongebob) and we liked it and thought the stitch one was gonna be like spongebob but we hated the stitch “ride”. As soon as it started I got bad feelings inside lol
Nice to see what it's actually suppose to look like. When I went on it this month after the first initial drop there were no other lights or visuals. It was just a pitch black ride that ended up killing my neck because I had no idea where the coaster was taking me next. It seems like it would be a lot better with the visuals than just being pitch black.
I never opened my eyes while riding this so thank you for showing me how nice it looks😂😭
Open your eyes, It's sooooo coool! You'll love it even more. (I promise!)
Me too 🤦🏻♀️
Well the whole ride is almost in complete darkness
hahah- same
Happened the same to me, I got sick as soon as it started, didn´t like the flashing lighst and the darkness, I closed my eyes and wished it ended soon. I threw up when in ended. I really didn´t enjoy it at all. :(
I know every twist and turn on this ride, every time i ride this I say LEFT or RIGHT or UP or DOWN every time a turn or up or down part came lol
Unlike Disneyland’s version which is mostly all right turns lol.
@@FrankieWashburn yeah lol
@@twistinmud1308 Wow you also memorized the track layouts LMAO funny, I also memorized them too haha.

I go on this ride so much but I can never memorize it-
Just rode that ride two days ago and nearly broke my body I half with those turns, I love the other side more
Sooo many memories dude😭
I know🥹
I love the space sound just so much, there so satisfying
Explain: What sound is space?
@@nobdyanybody7776 I think the person meant just the sounds I’m general in the ride is satisfying
The first roller coaster that got me over my fear years ago.. I can't wait to ride it at least three times :)
Space mountain is timeless it’s a great starter roller coaster if you’ve never been on one it gives you enough of an adrenaline rush rather then being terrified I think the only thing that makes people hesitant is it’s dark and you can’t see the track but there is no upside downs on this one unlike the one in Disneyland Paris that actually have the bar handles over your head let’s you know it’s going to be loops on the track ( btw it’s WAYYYY better then this one ! 🤩) overall always a fun ride when going to WDW one of my favorites
Just rode it today, ain’t nothing to be afraid of. Honestly, the scariest part is the line
You guys always do the best POV coaster rides, clear images, makes me feel like I am there, I love these, good work.
My first ever roller coaster ride when I was 11.. still one of my favorites. Great memories !!
Mine was when I was 6 in Disney land on one that just does like one circle and gos uphill once 😂. First real one was at sea world 2 days later
This was my first ride when i went on vacation in orlando last week
For context i live in California
. . . always one of my favorite rides here. [ just funny not hearing screams of fear ,LOL LOL 😂]
Best quality Space Mountain recorded ride I've ever seen! Thank you.
My favorite ride of all time. Hands down the best quality video I've seen of this ride. 💖
This ride, Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, and Star Tours are my top 4 favorite rides at Disney World.
Always been one of my favorite rides
Slightly different than Disneyland...my fav ride there
That sound effect at starting around 42 seconds...my favorite from my childhood on Space Mountain at Disneyland.
Like so many others in the mid 1980s, my father and 5 year old self were allowed to ride having no idea what it was about. (little kids just had to sit on parents' laps back then lol) i screamed and laughed the whole time...he thought I was crying. Afterward, he asked if I was okay, and I yelled that I wanted to go again. He didn"t.
I think Space Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland is the best. Two years ago, I rode this roller coaster at Tokyo Disneyland and it was thrilling and exciting!
The one in Paris is the best, the old version that is.
Paris one is the best without doubts
I just recently went on it for the first time and omfg it is so bumpy. The literally unsmoothest ride I have ever been on. Was is worth the 60 min wait, No. Will I go on it ever time at Disney, Yes!!!
Never again never again never again when I went on this ride I pulled my friends pony tail and I almost snatched her weave
Went on this in florida in 1981 first and only trip ever to USA best ride ever ive ever been on so awesome would love to go again before I reach my 70th !! I remember going with a bf and it was lke a bob sleigh in complete darkness all we could see was the bottons of the other cars lights and people screaming - the ridge turns left and right unexpected drops and as you coudlnt see where you were going added to the thrill !!
That is totally different then it used to be back in 1978 and 1984, the last time I was there. When you see the orange and red lights, those were used when you board the ride. That whole blue lobby room at the beginning didn’t look like that back then. There were white railings but the whole ceiling of the lobby was like asteroids and stars. It was really cool back when I was 12, now I’m almost 50. Lol
I really enjoyed this ride a ton even tho I was front seat it will be in my memorie forever , beautiful view like how I got
When I was six, I went on this ride thinking I can do it. After we came out, I was bawling. Now I want to go back on this ride and try again.
I think it was the best roller coaster I've ever been on in Disneyland. I was terribly afraid because my uncles told me it was very fast. Greetings from Mexico, incredible ride.
I went on Space Mountain during the holiday season, so they had christmas music playing and red and green lights
Lol I’m scared I’m in line for it right now
Ahh! Que saudade! Esse é top. Emoção o tempo todo. Recomendo ❤
This is totally random, but the seats look so comfy!
They (ARE comfy) I miss riding it. Michael T.
That isn't "random" at all.
They are lol
I have been on this coaster quite a few times already not to mention that I’ve ridden both sides and it’s a pleasure to ride every time
It may be the oldest ride but it still has the longest line! WOOOOO!
Remember going off season me and my brother rode this thing 4 times. Loved it.
im pretty sure this is my second fav now splash is MY FISRT FAV
im going to disney for the second time in febuary (last time i went i was little), very excited to ride this for the first time

Thanks for the memories. Haven’t been there in 32 years. Good to see that the mountain is still a classic…..
This is one of my fondest memories as a kid
It's been almost 30 years since I've road this. It's my favorite rollercoaster ever 🎢
I was so scared because I was sitting by myself in the second front row seat with my sister in the front seat 💀
miss this ride 😭...
African people miss the food.
Betuni 26 what does that have to do with anything here
@@marzoni64 all, with that i mean that crying is for kids Who dont mind what is happening in the world, they only worry about themselves and cry because a stupid coaster has closed?!!! Come on he is kidding us.
Betuni 26 i’m sure negan is fully aware that african people don’t have food. but they aren’t worried about that here because thats not the topic of the video. if you’re so concerned about african people, go to a video about african people. this is like someone saying “i don’t have enough money to buy a car :(“ and then someone like you going “there’s people who have no food”
@@marzoni64 You havent understood the messsage of the text, i could have said the african people or any other te thing. When i reply him i am saying that he is just a kid Who cryes because his favourite ride is closed instead of understand that the world in general is in chaos and that he should worry about the important things. He should think that the important its to know what is important.
Loved walking in the queue for this and love the design of the train, the ride has nice visuals but it’s not overly intense or anything. Good to experience but not something I’d ride over and over.
The soundtrack on Space Mountain is Magnificent, its a deep and atmospheric song like something out of Star Wars
The star tunnel music loop is my jam
You're literally everywhere.
I remember this ride. Though, currently, my family is having a hard time finding when our next trip is because of Covid, but I’d say that this is a very nice video. Great job!
Go to Universal best place ever
Uma sensação inexplicável !!!!!! Simplesmente uma aventura
I remember first going on it as a kid, it was an experience.
I remember my cousin screaming for his mommy. I was laughing and screaming. We fell from different trees
Hi everybody!
I only know the attractions of Florida and Paris. In my opinion the Space Mountain of Disneyland Paris is more radical!
I have been in Orlando, California and Paris... and Paris was rhe best one...
Definitely Paris is the best. It has a launch, a higher speed, and three inversions!
This jolts my memory from a few years ago
I was so scared waiting in line for this, I almost peed. When I got on it was so fun and bumpy! I was laughing my way out of the exit of the ride. I loved this ride.
Miss this ride!
Yes!!!! Something to escape in
I'm glad somebody filmed it. When I went on a couple years back I could barely keep my eyes open it was so intense. I don't remember any of those stars and galaxies lol
This roller coaster is one of my favorite coasters along with TRON, Big Thunder Mountain, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and DINOSAUR - The Time Rover.
The fact that it’s in darkness is scary, I went on this and it really scared me. Does it go half upside down? The one in Florida looks a little different with the beginning of the ride. Great video, Love your videos!
only the one in paris has inversions.
@alan castorena yeah and it’s crazy
No, it doesn't come close to going upside down. Rock n roller coaster is the only coaster at WDW that goes upside down.
i finally managed to ride this more than once in one day i went to magic kingdom
Greetings from São Paulo - Brazil
This is one of the coolest things humanity has ever created. I think I'd be even more blown away by it now than I was as a kid.
I really want to go back again. We lived in Florida when I was a kid so we got to visit a lot. This was my favorite ride and it really got me interested in space. It was definitely cool!
I agree. Been on hundreds of coasters and this is just amazing and always will be
What camera do you use because I can’t get the stars visible on my GoPro Hero 8
And to think I was scared of this ride... It's so cool!!!
Honestly who can’t have a smile on their face after this ride
I know right
Hands down the best roller coaster at magic Kingdom
When I went, I kept my eyes closed almost the whole time. I wish I could go again and really get the full experience XD
I love this guy👍
This ride is like an acid trip. Its amazing.

I am proud to say that I have now been on all the Space Mountains, and I stand by my claim that this is the best one. 🎟️🥇🎟️
How did you manage to comment that image
Have you been on the Disneyland Anaheim version recently? I just rode that for the first time this past weekend and I actually thought it was a lot better than the one at Disney World. It had some upgrades like onboard audio and added effects that made it feel more immersive to me, kinda like the updated Hulk coaster at Islands of Adventure.
@@jonathanbishopmusic Yeah, I don’t know… I think the Matterhorn-style trains in FL lend themselves best to the space theme. Also, I think the Florida layout is a million times better… but everyone’s personal preference really comes down to which aspects they value more. 🙌
Paris has the best one easily
Here after meteor shower to compare it to space mountains projections it reminded me of this ride
Im literally going to disney in an hour or two. This is very helpful.
Classic rollercoaster
Space mountain was closed when I went, looks really good
I miss disney
This was so fun and nostalgic I miss 2019❤😢
It always makes me feel liken I’m going to be beheaded
This scared me as a child. I legit had nightmares about space mountain
I got on this one many years ago, I thought it was somewhat trippy but fun. It’s probably how I got into riding rollercoasters 🎢
Remember this ride it was one of the best
I remember I got the very front seat when I was 7, I was hesitant but then I really enjoyed
Can someone please tell me how to not be scared of this ride? I'm trying to get rid of my fear of roller coasters cause this looks like so much fun. I have a fear of falling so I think big drops are the reasons why I am scared lol.
Same reason I am here. We’re you able to get on?
@@BlueberryBoogie you can’t not be scared. Courage isn’t the lack of fear it’s being scared and doing it anyway. You just need to get on, the rest is easier. I promise you can’t fall out. This is a mouse trap ride and it’s meant to make you feel pushed around. So most likely you will be pushed into your seat not out! On the hills (they are tiny) you may feel like your gonna fall out but again YOU WILL NOT. There’s a lights on pov you may wanna see if you haven’t. Good luck, I hope you have fun either way!
i have bad anxiety and when i came off this ride, my whole body was numb. i had had a panic attack while on it AND before i got on it. space mountain is probably the scariest ride in magic kingdom wdw, after u do it, it feels like theres nothing else u cant do. YOLO.
The biggest drop is less that 30 feet.

Great ride
Imagine you’re in space, I have courage on Space Mountain the ride as a roller coaster in outer space of eight planets.
I go to Walt Disney World in six months I promise I promise promise promise I can’t wait
I remember 3 or 4 years ago I was at magic kingdom and right after we got off splash mountain, my dad was like “want to go on space mountain?” At the time I was deathly afraid of roller coasters that go in the dark and ones that go backwards, so I asked if space mountain did any of those for I did not know what space mountain was. When my dad said yes, I freaked out and decided not to go. I still regret that to this day and I am begging my parents do go to Disney world because I really want to do it.
