The 1st and last place are definite contenders. That balcony @ Marina house was great. The last place was nice and big. I like the fact that you can use all the electricity and water necessary for a fixed price. Thank you, Daz.
These places are great for a person like me. Moving to Pattaya and having a decent inexpensive place in town to live while I look for a condo to live in. Thanks Daz.
Well done, marina house don’t think that tv came with the room looks like the person is staying in the room long term you won’t get in there it’s well booked out
Wow... Daz. Thank you. It took me months walking around Pattaya to find fair prices. 9baht for electricity is very high and will add 3k to the rent even if you use air minimaly. The government rate was 4 baht if my memory serves.
Your videos are very informative. However one more thing would be super helpful, the Wi-Fi speed. Perhaps you could do a quick test and show results on video. No matter how cheap a room is, or how good, I gotta have fast enough Wi-Fi and a lot of people feel the same. It's as important as electric and water nowadays.
You amazing plz do vlog about soi bakho massage places what kind of price they asking just to get updated I might be able to visit soon and hopefully get to meet you too thanks again for you hard work
#1 What a bargain. Pretty big, Superb balcony. Great montly rate. #2 Great value, decent size, reasonable balcony. #3 Okay but not as nice. Chap, though. #4 Not a bad place, but pricey relative to the others. Useful vieo, Daz. Nick J
Much cheaper and quite nice Daz, thanks. The message is that longer term are much cheaper, but that you need to go direct to get the best prices. The likes of Agoda, etc, are expensive and don't cater for the longer term.
HI Daz. I appreciate most of your property related videos are geared around the budget visitor, but if you're able to do a video on View Talay Villas and Jomtien Park Villas that'll be great. They're probably the best villas in Jomtien and range from 35k to $150k, so something for everyone. They're amazing value for someone who wants more bang for their buck but not too far away from central Pattaya (View Talay for example has a baht bus route to central Pattaya right outside the front). Cheers.
@@DarkoFitCoach Yes all View Talay and Jomtien Park villas have a pool. Obviously the more you pay the bigger the villa and pool. Prices start from 30k going up to 200k.
Nice one daz. I don't normally worry too much about the cost of hotel because they are so cheap compared to the UK but £60 for a week is a silly price including the pool. I stay usually in a condo in Jomtien with dancewatchers which is a really good company but the difference in price is big. I like the quiet of Jomtien but a side road off the main drag would be ok as well. I have booked this year but will try next time. Thanks again
Might I also recommend the Hotel Amber to those interested in a budget upmarket style modern hotel on Soi 21 near the Marina House. Agoda locally shows from 1100 baht a night. Considering my experiences staying there, a steal.
Dazz, regardless if the bed is firm but the room is dirt cheap, I simply go to a verity store and buy a cheap bed topper, problem solved and when I / you leave, give it to the person whom treated you the best at the hotel, they will be more happy to take it off your hands!!!
first of all, I appreciate all your work, thank you very much ! The first one, those staff have no concept about privacy at all. those cosmetics were still on the fridge, she probably were just out. I am planning to come in September to stay a month, but so hard to find budget apartment 😭 My experience, it is hard to communicate with them by phone in English. secondly for budget apartments, even they have a email address, they really take times to reply (two weeks) the best way is to show up in front of them, but I'm tired to carry a suitcase looking around. As I can not drive, staying near a food court (big C) is better choice. learning Thai and driving are my goals for this time if anyone knows a good place stay,(my budget around is b$10,000-13,000) please let me know kob Khun maak krab🙏🙏🙏 by the way , I am over 60 now
Hi Daz i am a recent retired 63 yr old Canadian looking to visit for first time, much of your videos are based on low season prices, wish you could mention high season time and prices also, also method of payments in these places once arriving, thank you!
Excellent vid. I visited the 1st place (Marina) a few hours ago. They're now asking 8,800/month now, and 10 baht electric rate (VERY high!). Maybe negotiate a better deal if staying longer? Was also told Wi-Fi very weak in the rooms.
some great deals there but of course money has to be paid upfront.I prefer pay as you go and the Intown hotel a big hotel in the middle of Soi Honey is good price at 550bht nightly.Has big room, elevator and rooftop swimming pool.
Great info, what is the best way to get these rates and book online? Most of the sites I can never get the dates that I want. Should you just contact them directly?
Love your videos. Have been subscribed while in US. Just arrived Bangkok and want to apply for Retirement Visa. What was the name of service you mentioned in one of the videos. Can’t find the video … 😂 I on a 30 day … 🙏🏾

Yes, they wanted it that way. Personally, I wouldn't want to spend my well-deserved vacation in such establishments. In a typical 3 week Pattaya vacation, accommodation costs are certainly a very small proportion of the total. There are much better alternatives for little more.
I agree with you, but I also agree with the other point of view that for those long stayers it helps to know about budget options. I would probably draw a line at £20p/n, which in Europe would not even buy a bed in a shared dorm in August, but it's all relative.
The 1st and last place are definite contenders. That balcony @ Marina house was great. The last place was nice and big. I like the fact that you can use all the electricity and water necessary for a fixed price. Thank you, Daz.

Really appreciate these budget hotel videos. Making a list for my next stay.
More to come

That first hotel looked good Daz! Especially that balcony, Love your work
No elevator and mosquito problems. Prices are much higher during high season.
Gotta remember to tell them not to let anyone in my room in case someone asks to tour the hotel and they're full. 🤣
Yeah exactly 💯
Yeah, I thought that was unprofessional. Certainly wont be staying there.
Security issue alert for sure.
Great options. Really liked the first one. The last one was pretty solid…

this was so good I had to save it to a watch later too.
We love cheap! Can u do cheap, nice gyms/health clubs?
Some of the cheap hotels are trying to recoup the low price with higher electric rates.
they hold a deposit, I'm sure.
Very good video for a months stay at hotels there in Pattaya, thanks Daz for your info and video.

Cool video, but it would be great if you ask the deposit the next time, the deposit is usually the deal breaker if you stay only 1 month.

8 baht for elec is only 2.5 baht above Gov rate, that's about normal for cheap monthly rentals, either Hotels or Condos
