    Ogerpon should be an honorable mention since all of her forms are good in single (all three legal forms have good viability) and vgc (usually seen in reg F+G and win world once)

      Ogerpon Hearthflame is banned to Ubers and remember, I am excluding any Pokémon in the Uber tier. It absolutely is good in both singles and doubles, but for legendary Pokémon, I only wanted to talk about 2 of them

      @@x_bell1142 He said all 3 legal forms which include Wellspring (Water), Cornerstone (Rock) and Teal (Grass)
      All 3 of them have (varying) success in Gen 9 OU, with Wellspring being the best one by far. Iirc, wellspring is also the best in VGC

    Supreme Overlord only checks for currently fainted allies, not times allies fainted, like with Last Respects.

      Well since last respect does not only check for currently ko'd allies, and does stack up with each revived then knocked out ally, your statement crumbles

      Half correct. Supreme Overlord only counts how many Pokemon are currently fainted in the party at the time of switch in. Last Respects counts how many times allies have fainted total in the current battle, and will also count Pokemon that have been revived and fainted again, up to 100 times for a total of 5050 bp if you reach the limit.

    Magearna in the one VGC format she was allowed in lol.
    Which brings us to the companion video that features legendaries and mythicals etc, including Ubers (Magearna was OU in gen 7 despite being tested, was banned to Ubers in gen 8). We now have Ubers UU for a reason.

      Good in both.

      Restricted Legendary is a specific category of legendary pokemon consisting of the cover legends of games and dlc (minus Suicune, Urshifu, and Ogrepon plus Eternatus, Zygarde, and Mewtwo). They typically have 670+ base stats and are designed to be much stronger than most pokemon

      I've seen some people refer to it as a second restricted legendary in reg G before, but that was just a joke. The only restricted paradox Pokemon are Koraidon and Miraidon (which are treated as restricted legendaries in gameplay).

      I also agree but, I'm curious to know why lando is decreasing in usage/meta standing
      the lack of strong ice types (At least in ou) would make me think it would be stronger, but it seems its not true

      I didn't want to discuss them because them being banned to Ubers but not banned in VGC has more to do with the difference in rule sets, rather than them being overwhelmingly powerful, which I did not want to be the focus of this video.

      Vgc bans mons based on their status (legendary, mythical, etc) which isn't the definition for actual power. Smoogon is a little more accurate about power scaling

      No, unless the Tatsugiri is taking damage from a passive effect like poison/sand, it cannot be hit and will still be on the field after Dondozo faints.

    I feel like dragonite really shouldn't be on this list because dragonite has never been good before gen 9 because it relies a lot on tera normal instead i would say pult since its been a lot better over multiple generations, still great video though!

    I personally think Empoleon makes a good addition to this list as well! It's coverage has been useful for a long time, it's very versatile in movesets, and has seen plenty of usage in both Game modes for over a decade!

      Item clause isn't the problem for singles, and makes hazards a lot better due to ghold blocking removal, and ghold really isn't banworthy ever since DLC1. Limiting teams to 1 boots/lefties just limits defensive options.
      A booster energy ban would be better than item clause, and even then, most teams really only have 1 booster mon so it doesn't even violate item clause

      It’s very strong, but most meta’s are hostile to mono grass attackers. So it’ll often have to work in spite of bad matchups.

      But yeah Raging Bolt has used leftovers, but in the last format (Reg G) it was not too good due to the lack of a reliable electric type stab
      Leftovers Raging runs Calm Mind, Protect, Thunderclap and Dragon Pulse, so it can be easily walled by Fairy types that stall Tclap

      leftovers is very common in vgc, just not as common as singles . like my vgc team doesn’t have it anywhere but many do
