  • In this video we talk about the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. In this book we learn who small habits can make a bigger difference in our life than big once in a lifetime changes.
In this video you don’t only learn how to build habits easily but you will learn how a habit is formed in the first place and how to change bad habits.
Once you learn the habit loop, it can become much easier to start new habits that lead you to your goals or eliminate bad habits that hold you back.
The video is composed of 4 main ideas.
    Habits are compounded
    The 3 layers of change
    Understanding the habit loop
4 steps to change a habit
Let me know in the comments what were key ideas you took away from this video.

Great! I vaguely remember having watched a summary about the book Atomic Habits a few years ago and that really piqued my interest

@@TheBetterMenProject Not specifically. One thing I remember and tried for a while was the morning routine described in Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. After 2-3 weeks i sadly returned to my old habits again and stopped with it, but I felt it was indeed helpful to go through the routine.

That is interesting, I have not heard of that one before. What do you think was effective about this routine?

@@TheBetterMenProject I often find that if I'm lazy in the morning that momentum is carried throughout the day - with this routine, you do something active already as first thing in the morning (e.g. exercising) and perhaps something reflective too (if the scribbling part of the routine includes daily goals or reviews of your last day's actions for example)

That’s great! the fact that you try things and figure out what works for you shows great character. Keep up the good work!

I think the beginning calc is off by a factor of 10, 1% over a year 365%?

    • @TheBetterMenProject
      @TheBetterMenProject  20 дней назад +2

Great observation! It was meant to say 37.78X and not 37.78%.
We may think the total would be 365% but using a daily compound calculation gives us 3,778% in a year. Or 37.78X increase.
      Great catch!

The name is perfect. This is what “Men” need to hear. Women generally don’t enjoy/consume content like this but men do.

@@travisrichmond3797 Exactly. Imagine a channel called The Better Woman Project. That would go over like a led balloon. For whatever reason, self-improvement doesn’t resonate with women as much. I guess they’re already perfect
