I'm 6'2, as previously stated, and the bike fits fine, I don't even need risers, but the mids took some getting used to. If you are over 6ft, and buy this bike, you will want forward controls, or bars that can be used as highway pegs. Also, when slowing down from "higher speeds", to catch an exit, the tires feel like I'm on ice. I'm thinking of different tires... I dont think the stock ones are rated for my riding....@Ty From Tennessee

Maybe I can help with ‘fit’. I’m 6’2” and and have owned Sportsters to Softails to a Road King. Although I’ve put 500 miles on my ST since I picked it up last Wednesday I’ve found Harley’s Tall Boy saddle made a big difference. An inch up and an inch back changed the triangle dramatically. Do with it what you may BUT if you ride this torque monster the way it was designed to be ridden forward controls are NOT a viable option. If your style of riding requires more room in the cockpit I would suggest a Fat Boy, Breakout or a touring chassis bike. Hope this helps, ride safe on whatever you choose and good luck!

That's why I put the bung king 2 step high step bars on it. Great highway pegs with a flat breather, and I keep my mids, and i have more lean angle... but the stock tires, slowing down from abt 110 to 40, when exiting, feel like you are on ice. Dunno if it's heat? Or what? But I will probly put different tires on it.

@@tarasmithskitchen2614 I noticed what felt like a bit of a slip on my first exit off the interstate. I cured it by killing the Traction Control and powering up through the turns. Gotta drive those tires into the pavement to get ‘em to stick. I’m 66 and been riding since I was 8. Coming off a 96 ci Road King I find this to be an entirely different beast for sure. After a Star Racing 3030 cam, Vance and Hines Hi Output 2 into 1 Stainless exhaust and Screaming Eagle Pro Tuner the bike actually scared me a tad…but that’s between you and me, lol.

For me at 6' the 10" windshield made an entire world of difference. The stock windshield had the wind smashing me right in the bridge of the nose trying to peel my helmet back and shades down. The 10" (hd and now klockwerks) not only helped with the wind vastly but even made the stereo easier to hear at speed. Looks like you got some beautiful riding down there man.

    hi Ty !
... a little small correction on your headlamp flashing. Actually, your head lamp IS flashing... very rapidly... its called pulse width modulation. Its how the engineers control the current and intensity of the lamp, high beam, electronically. Most LED lighting is pulse width modulated. Now, how come your eyes cannot see it, and why does the camera pickup the flashing? The answer is persistence of vision in the human eye. Your eye cannot see the pulse width modulation frequency; however, your camera frame rate is such that the frame rate is close enough to the frequency of the pulse width modulation of the headlamp LED controller so that when you watch the video YOU CAN see the interaction between the frame rate and the pulse width frequency. This is similar to the old TV Westerns we used to watch as kids (remember?) where the stage coach wheels would look stationary when the wheels were turning... or the wheels would look like they're turning backwards ??? Or, another example is the strobe light in an old automobile flywheel timing light... the flywheel looks like its sitting still even though its spinning at 700 rpm... remember?
    Anyway, there it is ...

    Flickering lights
Headlights aren’t what you would imagine a light beam to be… it’s more of a pulse, our “human eyes” can’t see it but, filming headlights with a camera you can due to the frame rate of said camera.

Headlight flash is strobing effect. LEDs are either on or off...and at a(usually fixed) frequency. You can see that strobing just by moving your head back and forth... LEDs are great but incandescent lights are greater in terms of real light. Match the camera capture frequency and headlight frequency exactly and the light will be either on or off. There is definite information loss with LED lights. I'm not sure why people love LEDs so much...'cept maybe they take less current to work.

You also have to be careful of the dealership you buy this bike from. A lot of dealerships are putting a huge markup on their bikes, especially their Lowrider ST or any other hard to get bikes and sometimes you’re paying as much as eight to $10,000 over MSRP. I bought my bike a Xenia Harley Davidson in Xenia, Ohio. The salesman Kent took care of me. I didn’t have to pay any extra pricing to get the bike and someone even came in and tried to buy it off of Monterey before I could take delivery and he refused to sell it even though he would’ve made more money because the guy was willing to pay the up charge to get the bike but I stood by the deal. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them and there is a little fee that Harley Davidson makes them charge, but it’s not the dealership at the Harley Davison. It’s doing that but if you’re in the Dayton Xenia Richmond Indiana area check out senior Harley Davison they will do you write I speak from experience.

Some good things there, but I don't get why people ask about the price. That's one very very quick internet search away. Some might pay more, some less. All depending on where you are located geographically I suppose and if the dealer is serious or not.
And as far as the audio goes, I recon it's the same with in-helmet audio. Up to a certain speed, it's all good, but then the wind noise kinda take over. For the most part. I'm sure there are solutions that does a better job than others on that topic.

Really like your Low Rider ST videos. Have been incredibly helpful as I tune mine in for me. One additional question for you. Any update on what you think of the Sundowner seat? I have a Saddleman SDC seat. Looks great and works great around town. Gets a bit uncomfortable for me after about two hours. Thinking about getting the Sundowner for a planned four day ride. Curious as to how yours is working for you.

Hey Stephen. I love the Sundowner seat on my LRST. It's super comfortable and I can ride the bike for hours and hours. I don't do any 2-up riding so I'm not sure what a passenger would say. I hope that is helpful and thank you very much for watching!

Super helpful. Thank you! I don’t do two up either so it sounds like this would be a good option for me. Appreciate the reply.

As someone who is also 5'9. I got the 10 inch flared winshield make my riding experience 1000x better. I think the important preliminary question is if you ride with a half shell or full face more? Full face the stock winshield is perfect. If you run half shell you definitely without a doubt will want a taller winshield

The taller winshield also made the Rockford Fosgate system MUCH better!

It’s the only “new” Harley I would buy. But since Harley wants to go woke I’ll wait for a used one down the line. I’ll spend my money on a different company that sells their motorcycles.

The Low Rider ST is a fantastic motorcycle for sure. I plan to fully support the motor company and my local dealership. Thank you very much for watching and have a great day!

I took a demo out a week ago. I’m 5’8” and I was not comfortable at all on it. The pegs are way too high and the “pullback” risers are still too far forward. Power was great though

I understand. The comfort of the bike is going to be different from person to person. Overall, I really love the motorcycle. I appreciate your time and thank you for watching!
