Geez Scott, leave some FXRs for the rest of us. But seriously that is an interesting color convertible. Congrats on another good looking bike.
I wish I had 1 of each. 😂😂😂
I was the one bidding against you. Congrats on the win and bike.
I had a few others message me saying they were watching it as well, I had a dollar amount I didn’t want to go over and the bid almost got to that point. It’s a great bike, just needs a good detail and the inside of the tank flushed and clean.
All FXLR's only came stock with a speedo, the tach was an accessory.
FXRS's switched to tank mounted tach & speedo with dual filler holes in in1988, prior years used center fill tank with gas gauge like the convertible and Sport. The FXRS didn't come with a sissy bar, but the Convertible and FXRT did. Cool Convertible you found!
Hell yeah. Thank you for the info. Yeah I remember an 87 Fxr’s having a center fill tank, was also the last year of the 35mm front end on that model. Still learning, crazy how each model would change through out the years, but Harley’s other bikes would usually stay the same throughout their run.
This channel has definitely become my favorite, looks like you have yourself a really nice ride there, maybe keep it as is, thanks for all the info. I'd love to see you guys do a sport glide, if you have already tell me where to look please. Good luck with your new ride.
Thanks man!!! And man…I would love a sport glide!!!! One day! 😁
I've seen that colour on a Softail Heritage and a Springer, its a rare one for sure, great pick up mate.
Man, I would love a springer in this color!! The full chrome front end would look incredible I’m sure
Super cool rare FXR, congrats on it!
Thank you!!
Your blue bike is great man, the peach bike is killer too. I cannot wait to see it done. Keep the great content coming homie!
Thanks man!!! Yall enjoy this weekend!!! Looking forward to seeing some post and videos!
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l I’ve been out of stuff for a couple of months with stuff going on at home. Can’t wait to get back out. Picking up a new bike Monday too, guess we will do a video on that as well. I may even rip to Illinois, we will see…
Great color!!! Super Cool.
I bought my first brand new Harley in 91... 1 of 5 Twilight Blue FXLR's. I never saw it's twin. Saw 1 FatBoy, 1 Sportster and know of 1 FXRS in the same color. Just four bikes in over thirty years. I didn't know what I had until years later.
To have 1 of 2 is incredible. Nice score.
Any chance of getting a picture of the rear fender air sticker for the bars under the seat? Would be nice to have with my 91 Sport.
Great video. Keep up the great work.
Message me on IG @weeloskeelo if you’re on there and I will def get you a pic of that decal
Super nice ! I wouldn't change a thing. Love the bags and Buckhorn!
The buckhorns are still taking some time to get use too. The pass two bikes that had them, I swapped them out pretty quickly In trying to hold out on this one
Congrats on thenew baby!!
I really like the color. Someday I’ll find a sick fxr to build up!
What windshield is on your blue fxr? I dig it
The convertable the sport & the fxrt had the same suspension with the exception being the convertable had the anti dive on it !
Correct, they shared the same tubes and internals
Dude, that is a Stunner!
Awesome video! I’ve been looking FXR for some time How are able to find the information on the trims of FXR’s Is there a book or website This is a way I can find what I want. Keep up the great work
PEACE
If you’re on Instagram, there’s a page called FXR Bazaar They created a book filled with production number, paint codes, and information on the differences between year and models. Truly comes in handy understanding Fxr’s!!
I love the color I’m sure you seen my sons Jeremy Abreu he has the pearl white with blue and red pin stripe and I have my 87 I’m not planning on getting rid of it any time soon they getting harder to get
Oh I have def seen both of yalls builds! Jeremy and I chat back and forth all the time. You both have some super clean bikes. I want to run a supertrapp on one of mine as well after seeing how good it looks on your bike
KRYSTALS over everything. Another banger video, sir! Can't wait to see the new bike.
You already know!
Sick bike man. I just picked up an FXRD in blue. Also a pretty rare bike. Excited to get it on the road. Still waiting on the dude to send me the title. Lol
Bad ass man!!! One day I’ll have a rd or rt hopefully. Def on my bucket list!!
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l hope so man I'm so stoked! Haha. I got it in a raffle. I was freaking out 😂
I have the twin to that 91! It’s an 87 fxrs-sp and at some point it was swapped out with the same two tone tins from 91. Dual disc with 39mm forks and a sportster windshield. Only real visual difference was that it has a TH!
The blue 91? Hell yeah. Is yours a center fill tank like the stock SP or does it have the speedo/tank on the tank
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.lYes the blue one. At some point the original owner replaced the 87 tins with 91 tins. Yes it’s center fill with a separate gas gauge. Tac and Speedo on the bars from the factory. I believe the original bars were sportster bars too.
I wish the blue bike had a center fill tank. I’ll trade you 😂
Oh man, I’d be curious to know how much you got that one for. I’ve been looking for a convertible to keep over in the states for when I visit
There’s def a few floating around. I found this one on eBay of all places.
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l what’s the market like? Over here, that would be a US$20,000 bike every day of the week.
Cool bike. My 1988 FXRP is cool to. I noticed you mentioned every model except the FXRP. IDK why the paint color matters so much that color sucks haha.
Can’t go wrong with a RP! 🤘🏼
if its rare put it back to completely stock will be worth more if you ever need to sell it. plus the money you saved you can put into your other bikes.
Agree for sure!
Man I'm desperate to get my hands on that Bazaar book.
They have some still available. Reach out to them on IG. It’s def worth having to learn all the little facts and what not between each model
I have a 1990 Super Glide. Love it.
Can’t go wrong with any model fxr!!! 🤘🏼
I like the two into two exhaust with the crossover, on the convertable. who makes it?
It’s the factory exhaust still. The mufflers are oem but have had the baffles removed
Thats badass! Legit!
The tank could be special ordered. Called a low rider fatbob tank
❤❤❤❤❤ so sick!
I love my '91 FXRS Convertable, especially now that it has a 120" engine in it. But, I have the two tone paint job 🤥
Bet that thing is a ripper! What color two tone?
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l Candy red and black
I had white castle in detroit years back. Made me puke instantly 😂 I was also trashed so I’m sure that played a part.
😂😂😂
The bike is Super Cool !!
I have a 90th Anniversary FXLR with 2400 miles that's Immaculate.
Enjoy !!
The two tone silver is my favorite anniversary paint scheme for sure!!!
Put Screaming Eagle pipes on it!
I have a set from the blue one that I’m going to run for the time being for sure
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l they flow well!
IMO that bike stays stock. Any mods would devalue the bike.
If anything just proper suspension and different bars. Everything else will stay the same
Nice grab
Forward controls forever..lol
I’ll have to disagree. Lol. After riding mids for the past few years, when I jump on a bike with forwards, it’s awkward. 😂😂
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l I can't comfortably ride mids, I'm too large
Yeah I can see towards being best for taller people for sure. I have a set if you are ever in the need
@Me.MyMachinist.and.l I need replacement set for my 85 fxrs80. Idk about my aftermarket frame fxr( kenny boice?).
Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure the Kenny Boyce frames were designed to use all the same parts that would bolt directly on a stock genuine H-D fxr. Other than things like the oil tank, fuel tank and a few other bits and pieces.
I know I'm probably nitpicking here. But they're not "floorboards" they're "footboards". Motorcycles don't have floors, cars do
Depends on the manufacturer 😂. Same argument when it comes to engine and motor, or rim and wheel. I guess depends where in the country you live. 😂
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l well HD refers to them as footboards
I think you should paint it
Well if you insist. Lol
Krystal is ok, sonnys is best
M8 gota restore back to original been so rear.
I just picked up a 1986 liberty Edition. Do you have an Instagram
Another killer paint job that I would love to have one day!!
