    About Jackson:
    Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

    I remember him talking about a Jackson Soloist with no frets from like the 12th up. "I don't play up there, so why bother with frets?" Always thought that was beyond cool.

    Hellyeah! My bro Scott Ian from the unstoppable Anthrax. I've watched their music video last night on the MTV Metal mania show and they hammered it in the video and it was awesome.

    Wow. Those are some amazing looking King V's! I've never really considered a V shaped guitar though as i'm not very fond of where the strap location is located but if i did decide to pick one up i'd definitely give a Jackson King V a shot. I don't think i could afford a USA made one though unfortunately, especially an artist model. One can dream though eh?

    please make some of those with a floyd rose available, especially the in black/mirror!
    or you should make just those pick guards so you could put one on any king v or randy rhoads.

    3:09 I think the floyd being set so low and flush to the top of the body is what gives it that tighter low end tone. I'll take that or a hardtail set the same way over the tunomatic any day.

    Scott is no longer with Randall?

    • @nicholasdaronch6156
      @nicholasdaronch6156 7 лет назад +1

      He recently switched to EVH and guess what? EVH and Jackson Guitars are both owned by Fender, so I think he was told by the company to use EVH amps instead of Randalls which are owned by the same company that does Washburn Guitars (Scott was endorsed by Washburn back then)

    • @MartyDadRiffs
      @MartyDadRiffs 7 лет назад +1

      No, he probably switched because EVH Amps are the absolute best shit out there.

    • @themodernguitarist
      @themodernguitarist 7 лет назад +3

      He switched to EVH because the guy that designed his amp, Mike Fortin, left Randall. Both Randall and Washburn are in a very shitty state right now. On top of that, he's been using EVH for years behind the scenes.

    • @Tommy493
      @Tommy493 7 лет назад +2

      Blu I know that Fortin's contract has expired, but I doubt that was the reason why Scott would stop using them. I was also surprised to see that Washburn no longer produces Solar series, at least they don't list them on their webpage. Do you know what's going on with Randall and Washburn? Shitty management?

    @masterofwhorers1827 5 лет назад +2

    Hey bro, I'm Scott Ian. I'll say whatever gear I'm using today is the best ever, as long as I get it for free... Sucks he's endorsing a re-badged KKV. I remember when he played "custom" dinky's and then he had a fully custom double cut SG type with and actual custom SD pickup, not just a regular old SD pickup, and now back to a re-badge. But hey, that three different corporate overlords of "Jackson".

      The King V was a thing before Kerry King played one. The name King V had nothing to do with Kerry but with the fact that Robin from Ratt, who was one of the first to play it, had the nickname King. Robin was a very tall guitar and a regular V looked tiny, which was the opposite of Randy and his V - he needed his Rhoads smaller and the inspiration for the King V was a symmetrical version of the Rhoads V that was ordered by one of the guys from Overkill.
      James Hetfield played one on Master of Puppets and this ended up as his "Kill Bon Jovi" guitar and that guitar can be heard on the title track of the album way before Kerry got his mitts on a V of any make or model. He had a King V with Ducan Invaders even before he got his hands on the EET FUK ESP and EMG pickups.
