Hi guys! A few weeks ago on a very rainy day, I took the bus down to Jeonju to explore the city - visiting some old favorites and some new sites! Jeonju is a great place to someone looking to travel outside of Seoul for the first time because there is so much to do in one concentrated area and there's a little something for everyone :) I will sing my praises for Jeonju forever lol Sending you love always and see you tomorrow for our next adventure in Korea!

I actually love how she films, and all the content she puts out there. Just feels so relaxing and calm. Actually love it and appreciate it so much.🤍
thank you so much!!
At this point, I've given up on wishing for travel. I'm just dreaming of days where I'm allowed to sit down and eat in restaurants and cafes again. Living vicariously through these vlogs! 🤓
yessss the little things!!
@@caricakes I ❤ 泡菜. 😘
Every time cari is in a cafe it’s SO RELAXING☺️
Definitely always well shot cafe excursions! She always apologizes for visiting too many cafes in one vlog. Not a thing as too many cafes.
🥰🙏
Def she is !!! 💚
can’t wait to travel to Korea one day, totally visiting places you recommended 🌝
❤️❤️❤️
That museum is totally my thing 🥰 I would love to spend an entire day there
It was so fun 😭
Cari your vlogs have been a dose of happiness since I left Korea for the states. Thanks as always for the great content! Jeju vlog coming anytime soon?
thank you!! jeju vlog coming tomorrow!!
@@caricakes very exciting news! So many places you've been to have been added to my 'to be visited/re-visited' list. I miss living in Jeju even more than when I lived in Seoul. Wish you a ton of growth and success going forward!
That museum looks really cool. Once you resume a more "regular" travel/vlog itinerary, you should pitch various museums with uniquely curated exhibits to make digital content. I like your combination of first-person and third-person POVs.
yessss i cant wait!! and thank you always :')
You're so in your element when you do travel vlogs! I can't wait to see where you go in the future.
My guess is mung bean, but I have no idea. There's always one or two pieces of banchan that mystify me!
I know the feeling 😂 it’s actually made from acorn 🐿
7:00 Cari is literally a baller, look at her go! lol!
bahaha my secret talent ;)
My jaw dropped
I was gonna say that haha
Aww look at all the cute couples dressed in matching traditional Hanbok! Gorgeous video as usual Cari!
Trying not to die of envy over that lunch omg
🥰🙏
“we’ll see how that works out for me” 😂😂 hopefully your tummy was fine~
bahahah i was thankfully :')
Is that acorn jelly? :0 I’ve always wanted to try it~
yes!! sometimes i love it, sometimes i dont hehe
@@caricakes what does it taste like?
I thought it was some type of tofu, it doesn't really taste like anything to me
Wow, I could spend all day at that museum! Jeonju is so beautiful, I’d love to visit 🥺✨
i really hope you can soon!! 💗
AGHHH i recently discovered you, REALLY u brought me back to life again 😭❤️
thank you so much :''')
"don't think I forgot about the choco pie" 😂😂😂 I laughed out loud ! 😂
Wow I haven’t watched in so long. Feel some normalcy finally doing so. Life has been so odd and hectic lately, but this feels lovely and familiar 💗
🥰🙏
Kind of miss the rice cooker footage 😂🙏
😂😂

I'm glad you ran into that white and black puppy walking down those stairs.Nothinhg to do with anything, but I knnew a Lady - she was a Korean nursepharmicist from Seoul and she was a beautifully charming woman. Moung Ja returned to Seoul a long time ago. Thanks for this tour. Reminiscent for me. I know the rain doesn't add much personality, but it really made tha mood for me, thanks again Ms Cari.
Cari씨 덕분에 한국의 이곳저곳 구경 잘하고 있어요 15년전하곤 많이 달라졌네요
My Brothers and Sisters, just curious, did Humanity started in Asia?
This was such a lovely calming vlog! Hope you're doing well!

The brown tofu-looking block is acorn jelly, right? I've still never tried it but really want to!
Beautiful video, as always. Adding Jeonju to my travel bucket list :)
yes it is!! hope you can visit and try it yourself :)
Stating the obvious, but it was even more magical and beautiful in the rain 🤩 so cozy! I have been loving all the sun but suddenly I'm hoping for the rain too
Agreed 😍☔️
I first moved to ROK and i was asked to live in Jeonju way back in 1995. It was a sleepy town, very traditional and the food is the best. The official culinary capital of ROK is Jeonju and more specifically the entire Cholla Province. Near the gate area is a Roman Catholic church that is so peaceful to visit. I remember the entire life was centered around the main road. There was only Core department store and then another one in the middle of city center. Night life was busiest around Chonbuk university and used to be the only area that non Koreans hung out. ESL teachers and US soldiers who used to live at the near Gunsan (Dont know if the US still have a based there) base who wanted to meet Korean girls came into Jeonju for the "city feel". I close Kiwi mate who for over a decade worked in the Korean Film industry used to go every May to the Jeonju Film Festival. Coincidentally I would visit Seoul around the same time but i never went with him cause he was going for work and now i regret it. Enjoy the city. BTW not only is Jeonju famous for the food but also for their rice paper and Korean opera (Pansori). I was fortunate to be in a relationship with someone from Cholla for 7 years and i really got to enjoy the month care packages of sidedishes made by mom-in-law.
I really would love to see a pansori performance one day 🙏🙏🙏
The museum looks wonderful 🤩
I'm glad you had a great time there, Cari ❤️
thanks for coming along :)
I always watch Cari's videos in full-screen mode because the imagery and the colours are so beautiful. That tea house! 💚
Omg thank you! And yes that tea house is my fav 🥺

I used to live so close to Jeonju during my language year but never went there 🤦🏻♀️ now I am in Seoul and was talking a few days ago about going to Jeonju🤭 this couldn’t come at a better timing 😍❤️❤️❤️

It's so beautiful there and the rain just made it more so. I love that they set up a space in the market for all the cats that live in there, that warmed my heart so much.
same :') it was so sweet!!
I’m taking all my notes to my upcoming trip to Korea, that unfortunately will postponed to February due the pandemic :(
More time to plan 🥺🙏🙏🙏
@@caricakes yes absolutely! Your videos are also helping a lot ;)
Of course we don't wanna go back to those old poor days. But i still miss those days badly sometimes. i don't know why.
Thanks so much for this video. My wife and I are planning on taking our friends on a day trip to Jeonju mid-May. Can't wait to explore a bit more of Korea again. We'll also be going to Pohang for a day, then 2 nights in Daegu. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks again.
My weekly does of Cari refilled!! Hope you’ll have good day today💖🥰😚😳🤠🤤
hehehe and you're getting another video tomorrow!! have a great day too!
Have you been to Jeonju during JIFF (Jeonju International Film Festival) in the Spring? It's really cool, I recommend checking it out if you haven't. BTW, love your videos. I lived in Jeonju for 6 years and you always end up teaching me something new about it!
I’m re-watching the older videos, Korea vlogs, mostly the ones in autumn, and I’m having the time of my life ❤😊
Just beautiful. 👌 And the video is so well captured and made. I love the parts, where you just hear the rain and quiet background music.
Thank you! I loved that too 🥺
manifesting visiting korea in 2023 can i get an amen
🙏👏🙏👏👏🙏
My city. Well back in 2003-2004 taught kindergarten there. Miss the bibimbap and fried chicken
I love your videos so much. Thank you for making my days brighter ❤️
Thank you so much 😭🙏
Hi Cari. Just wanted to ask, will Korea accept fully vaccinated foreign travellers anytime soon? Thank you! 😍
Our group stayed at Hanok Village. they gave us a cooking class for bi bim bap, cultural tour, makkoli drinking contest ( where the media was there to film the Funny Foreigners an action. and kimchee making. Nice to view this as we never had a chance to explore by ourselves.
도토리묵인가요? I regret not going to Jeonju when I was in Korea. It's definitely on my list if I make it there again someday!
Thank u for this video. After falling love with BTS😂 I'm super interested in Korea and that video helps me a lot💜
Thanks heaps for the video. Lits of ideas for our upcoming day trip to Jeonju with our friends

New places to add to my bucketlist from youuu 💗 the weather is kind of like here in Ireland 🌦

Cari, would you recommend taking KTX or bus to Jeonju? :)
15:46 that poster of My Neighbor Totoro is written in my language, italian😳 That took me by surprise wow
Traveling is better alone and much more if you're an introverted type who enjoys alone time with nature ofc

I know you live there but do you think it’s feasible for a tourist to do a day trip from Seoul to Jeonju?

Acorn jelly! - made of powdered/crushed acorns
good evening from Canada🇨🇦♥️
It’s raining outside now. What about Seoul? Hehe
we're expecting rain any minute now!!
@@caricakes awww. Going out today?
I wish it was raining where I live it’s ninety degrees here
@@cassidymay2513 Oh man... where are you now?
Jeonju looks so nice, even in the rain (I love rain...and thunder, so, yeah)
And is that acorn jelly? Not a fan xD But I've only tried it once - in Paju. Those soups looks really delicious, though!
I got so invested in the video that I got distracted by myself, pretending to be there and order food for myself (and friends/family). This video is a whole mood! A relaxing one :D
The last two times I’ve visited Jeonju have been rainy and i love it 🥺 and yeah acorn jelly is really hit or miss for me hahaha
Sometimes we can see a restaurant named '전주(Jeonju)'' in Seoul or other areas such as 전주식당. It's becuz 전주 is well known for thier food in Korea. 😚
So everyone! We should go to Jeonju as Cari did ! 🧡😍
hahah yes totally!! i've definitely seen jeonju restaurants even in the States!
I love watching your videos❤, I'm planning to move to korea when I turn 16 or 18 lol 😭, is it hard to live in south Korea?
Korea has a lot of conveniences that I didnt have back home, but like anywhere on earth, its not perfect! But I’m happy here!
Hi Cari! What's the title of the song at 8:15? Thank you.
Cari makes travelling alone so adventurous and romantic❤️❤️🔥🔥
Thank you 🥺
I really enjoy this vlog, it’s kinda fun when spending the time for go around the place just by ownself
Thank you!!!
What a nice place to learn more about Korea in the early age
The sound of rain hitting the umbrella 👌🏻
right!? :')
My burning question is have you heard TXT Lovesong and what do you think? I personally love it! Awesome video as always.
i actually did see it and liked it!! love the more rock feel to it :)
Have you ever been to Montreal? Recently I've noticed a shift in my attitude when watching your videos. I used to get really envious of all the cool places you were going to, but with the return of warmer weather here in Montreal I find myself thinking instead of how cool my city is and how much of it I haven't explored! So thank you! (Btw I haven't watched the video yet, I'm keeping it for my "relax me time" later, so sorry if this is off topic)
Omg yes! I’ve only been to montreal once but I absolutely loved it and its one of the cities I’d consider living in in the future!!
my wishtrend package arrived some days ago and I just wanted to come here and say how much I've already been loving the stuff from your box deal. Skincare has always been a tricky thing for me because my skin is very complicated and does not react well to most things. I've been using everything except for the mask so far and it's been great, I literally feel like my skin is breathing for the first time in a long time so really, thank you for introducing me to such a nice brand and these great products!
Omg that makes me so happy!!! The green tea cleanser is truly a lifesaver ✨✨✨
MY MIND IS BLOWN! You’re so freaking talented Cari! I’ve been following you for quite sometime now and every time I think it can’t get better you put out such amazing content . I’m sure Korea is stunning but you just make the simplest things look ten times more captivating. My heart is always so full watching your vlogs 💞
thank you so much ahhhhhhhhh
This video was truly the perfect thing to watch on a rainy day! Was what you were eating acorn jelly by any chance? I recently found some at my local Korean market and have been meaning to try it
Thank youuuu and yes!! Its acorn jelly 🥰
imagine all the dishes the staff has to wash😳😲😬😂
take care cari!🥰🥰 keep safe🤗
😂😂😂
I would love to visit Jeonju! When can Americans visit?!
Hopefully soon! Technically you can come but you need to quarantine 🥺
acorn jelly is quite possible my least favorite korean food lol. For some reason my brain can't handle the idea of savory jelly
Hahaha i got sick from it once and now im always a little wary but sometimes its so good!!!
Have you been in Sokcho (idk how it is spelled)? When I was in Korea we visited this town and it has an amazing forest to hike in!!
I have!! It’s gorgeous, i love the entire east coast 😍🙏
I always wait for your new videos and since I can't go back anytime soon in Korea, your vlogs really make me want to travel soon! I was in Jeonju 3 years ago and it's such a beautiful area!❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you this beautiful vlog, so much love from Turkey 😘❤🌼
Thank you so much for watching!
I love this jelly thingy!!! It was my favorite thing to eat :) I think it's made of acorn? :)
Yes!!! 🐿🐿🐿
