At this point, I've given up on wishing for travel. I'm just dreaming of days where I'm allowed to sit down and eat in restaurants and cafes again. Living vicariously through these vlogs! 🤓
You're so in your element when you do travel vlogs! I can't wait to see where you go in the future. My guess is mung bean, but I have no idea. There's always one or two pieces of banchan that mystify me!
I'm glad you ran into that white and black puppy walking down those stairs.Nothinhg to do with anything, but I knnew a Lady - she was a Korean nursepharmicist from Seoul and she was a beautifully charming woman. Moung Ja returned to Seoul a long time ago. Thanks for this tour. Reminiscent for me. I know the rain doesn't add much personality, but it really made tha mood for me, thanks again Ms Cari.
That museum looks really cool. Once you resume a more "regular" travel/vlog itinerary, you should pitch various museums with uniquely curated exhibits to make digital content. I like your combination of first-person and third-person POVs.
Cari your vlogs have been a dose of happiness since I left Korea for the states. Thanks as always for the great content! Jeju vlog coming anytime soon?
@@caricakes very exciting news! So many places you've been to have been added to my 'to be visited/re-visited' list. I miss living in Jeju even more than when I lived in Seoul. Wish you a ton of growth and success going forward!
Can't help but say it again, Thank you so much Cari for being so down to earth with your vlogs; the music you choose, the places you go. My weekly dose of calm and happiness (twice)! Looking forward to tomorrow's!
Stating the obvious, but it was even more magical and beautiful in the rain 🤩 so cozy! I have been loving all the sun but suddenly I'm hoping for the rain too
Thanks so much for this video. My wife and I are planning on taking our friends on a day trip to Jeonju mid-May. Can't wait to explore a bit more of Korea again. We'll also be going to Pohang for a day, then 2 nights in Daegu. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks again.
I loved this video so much Cari. I love those traditional architecture and rain just seems perfect. Somehow i ended up imagining meditating in that royal summer place you brought us!!
MY MIND IS BLOWN! You’re so freaking talented Cari! I’ve been following you for quite sometime now and every time I think it can’t get better you put out such amazing content . I’m sure Korea is stunning but you just make the simplest things look ten times more captivating. My heart is always so full watching your vlogs 💞
Our group stayed at Hanok Village. they gave us a cooking class for bi bim bap, cultural tour, makkoli drinking contest ( where the media was there to film the Funny Foreigners an action. and kimchee making. Nice to view this as we never had a chance to explore by ourselves.
I love living vicariously through your videos! Hopefully one day when safe to do so I’d love to visit South Korea! Until then I will enjoy all the sights, food, and everything through your videos! 💖
I just cannot wait to visit South Korea for the first time in 2023 to celebrate my birthday and graduation! Can't wait! Cari, I just love your videos. Giving me so many places to go Idk how I'm gonna visit everywhere
I love Jeonju! Been there twice but not enough time to explore as we were on a tour. Anxious to revisit again on my own. THANK YOU so much for the links you provided of all the places you went to! :-)
I first moved to ROK and i was asked to live in Jeonju way back in 1995. It was a sleepy town, very traditional and the food is the best. The official culinary capital of ROK is Jeonju and more specifically the entire Cholla Province. Near the gate area is a Roman Catholic church that is so peaceful to visit. I remember the entire life was centered around the main road. There was only Core department store and then another one in the middle of city center. Night life was busiest around Chonbuk university and used to be the only area that non Koreans hung out. ESL teachers and US soldiers who used to live at the near Gunsan (Dont know if the US still have a based there) base who wanted to meet Korean girls came into Jeonju for the "city feel". I close Kiwi mate who for over a decade worked in the Korean Film industry used to go every May to the Jeonju Film Festival. Coincidentally I would visit Seoul around the same time but i never went with him cause he was going for work and now i regret it. Enjoy the city. BTW not only is Jeonju famous for the food but also for their rice paper and Korean opera (Pansori). I was fortunate to be in a relationship with someone from Cholla for 7 years and i really got to enjoy the month care packages of sidedishes made by mom-in-law.
I always wait for your new videos and since I can't go back anytime soon in Korea, your vlogs really make me want to travel soon! I was in Jeonju 3 years ago and it's such a beautiful area!❤❤❤
I'm sooooooooo happy now... But I'm also hungry! So, quick remind, eat before watch Cari's Vlog when she's traveling somewhere nice! Thank u for make my days brighter, Cari!
my wishtrend package arrived some days ago and I just wanted to come here and say how much I've already been loving the stuff from your box deal. Skincare has always been a tricky thing for me because my skin is very complicated and does not react well to most things. I've been using everything except for the mask so far and it's been great, I literally feel like my skin is breathing for the first time in a long time so really, thank you for introducing me to such a nice brand and these great products!
I used to live so close to Jeonju during my language year but never went there 🤦🏻♀️ now I am in Seoul and was talking a few days ago about going to Jeonju🤭 this couldn’t come at a better timing 😍❤️❤️❤️
That type of imperial architecture at the shrine always makes me think of movies set in that time, its so cinematic ! Also interesting to have a museum that covers things that you remember; having lived it makes it a bit more personal. I see you appreciated the cave section lol
Hi Cari, I had to watch this one at my breakfast time, but what a nice way to start the day. Just when I think you will run out of new places to take us, you give us this lovely trip out. I have to laugh at the thought of those folk who must spend all day washing dishes, I mean, how large a table would one have to have to cater for more than one hungry Cari. Where on earth do you put all that food ? Do you starve yourself in-between vlogs. Thank you for this. You take care 😄XX

The brown tofu-looking block is acorn jelly, right? I've still never tried it but really want to! Beautiful video, as always. Adding Jeonju to my travel bucket list :)
Not sure if you’ve been there already and I missed it, but the Nanjang here reminded me so much of the Dongnimmun Museum Village in Seoul - I just went again last weekend, I think you’d really enjoy it and it would make for a great vlog! They finished renovating it not too long ago so you should go check it out this summer :)
