I like how you say "when you come here" with so much certainty. almost makes me feel like, 'yeah, maybe somehow, someday, I might actually go there and I'm gonna have to make note of what to eat when I do!'
as a korean, it makes me really happy to see you enjoy the food and describe it with so much enthusiasm and admiration :) thanks for this video! i hope to visit this place when i go to korea this year
I lived in Jeonju for 3 years. Best food in all of Korea, hands down. I used to go to the street food market near Jeonbuk University as well. So good and a little less expensive.
Also in the area you're in is a place called Veteran Kalguksu. The biggest, tastiest dumplings and just rich, tasty comforting noodle soup you'll ever eat.
Hey, I am coming to Jeonju as an exchange student for a year next month. Could you recommend me some places where to eat tasty and are not expensive? Especially near Jeonbuk Uni?
Why I love Mikey is this - he could have had triple the view time and got triple money by making this half an hour video 3 parts each but he loves his viewers and loves to show the whole experience as one 😍😍 loveyou Mikey
I’ve been following many food travelers channels and I recently stumbled upon Strictly Dumplings channel and instantly loved it! The level of enthusiasm and humor Mike brings is amazing! I really enjoy watching your content, thank you!
Usually when I watch your videos. It makes me hungry. Two days ago, my stomach was hurting. I was lying down trying to feel better, watching your latest video. It was making me sick to watch. I ended up in the ER and an emergency appendectomy. I told the doc that Mikey Chen saved my life😂😂😂. He said you aren't getting any of his fee, but he would definitely check out your channel. Happy belated birthday and happy new year!
Living vicariously through your videos. I haven't been back to Korea since 1988 when our family left and immigrated to US. Everything looks absolutely delicious!
Oh my God. My hometown is the first video of 2020😂 Bibimbap is one of the most popular foods in Jeonju, but I personally recommend Kongnamul-gukbap(bean sprout soup) rather than bibimbap. Happy new year Mike
Hi, I am a culinary student aspiring to become a chef, but you inspired me to travel for food as well. Your videos, reactions to food and recommendations are amazing.
I love how the bibimbap was presented. It is all displayed so beautifully, so whenever I got bibimbap, I really don't wanna destroy it. 🤣🤣🤣 Happy New Year Mike!
I cant believe i watched this video multiple times. I love korea.. Always was really interested in korea for some reason. But everything looks like a beautifull dream.. And the food market wow.. I would go eat there everyday
Maybe this has been said before, but does anyone else feel like you're on a date with Mike in almost every video? Especially this one. It's beautiful actually, he does a great job of making the viewer feel cozy and intimate in his company. It really feels like I'm walking beside him. Thanks Mike!
This is my new favorite episode in Strictly Dumplings. I feel so deprived of Korean food I am more then impressed way more then impressed just so delicious and I haven't even eaten that stuff and I say this
Korean food is my absolute favourite. You can feed me spicy rice cakes and bibimbap everyday. Hope I can go to Seoul this year. Happy New Year Mike! Thank you so much for all of your great videos❤❤
The rice drink that Koreans including me like to drink is called Shikhye and we all drink ice cold. Thanks for sharing some of my favorite foods from Korea Mikey. Can't wait to see what coming up for 2020.🧁🎂🍧 🥘✌😊🤙🥘
This time I got a meal ready before I watched...totally devoured my diner as Mike takes us n another great food tour!!! Jeonju is now on my map for my next trip to Korea...Another great one Mike!!! Loved it!
I watch your videos to satisfy my asian food cravings. I am part korean and only as an adult started branching out past kimchi and bulgogi. I’ve found that I live kimbap, tteokboki, kimchi pancake, and bibimbap. I can’t wait until I can travel to Korea.
Bibimbap is my all-time favorite! I love adding a bunch of chili paste and then build a wall up the stone bowl and leave it there a few min to get super crispy. Mmmm. My due date is in 2 weeks and my sister has been given instructions to bring me this as my first meal after delivery. Its like a hug to your insides.

Bibimbap is one of my favorites! I am blessed to live near Ktown in Los Angeles, Korean food is the best! From the noodles, rolls, Bbq.. even the baked goods. So tasty!! I vlog some of my trips & film mukbangs with what I get.. Maybe one day i can meet up with Mikey when he comes back to LA! Would be honored.
Magic Mikey we honestly are so honored in LA with all the korean spots in Ktown and here in Gardena/Torrance! So many Koreans live here so there’s a lot of korean restaurants to choose from 😭
Ah I went to all these places in winter last year, it was beautiful and everything was delicious especially the dumpling shop. It’s a beautiful place, haunted, but beautiful ☺️
The toasted rice bimbap looks very delicious the more chilli 🌶 the better ..the street food looks divine especially the fried foods yum ...Great start to 2020 Mikey ❤️🥰
Love Jeonju! Next time you're there, try the soondae! Another beautiful place to visit in Korea is Seoraksan, especially during autumn - it is really a standout. I was supposed to be in Korea in May (flights were cancelled). I lived in Seoul from 2010-2014, but I haven't been back in 4 years. Thank you for creating this content so I can get my fix!
I love watching your videos. Especially from the south korean tours since it will be my check out places when I go to see my korean side of the family in Seoul and Inchon. That's a really good way to put it into words -- I get the same feeling, too, even if I know I'll probably never go there or eat that particular dish.

Great scenes of Korea. Those bibimbaps are inspiring. Koreans uniquely know how to incorporate their closeness to nature into their dining.
Jeonju looks like a beautiful city. When you were strolling through, it looked almost like a village out of a fairytale.
