i took the train down to one of my favorite little cities - Gyeongju! it was the ancient capital of Korea and is filled with so much history. It's walkable, mostly free, and absolutely stunning all year around. hope you enjoy this little getaway from seoul and see you soooon~ love always!

I've never seen a forest like that - where each tree seems to be bending in a different direction. So magical!

This vlog brought back so many memories ahh!! I spent almost 2 months in Seoul before I ventured outside of the city for the first time which was this April, and I went to Gyeongju with 7 exchange student friends. We experienced the last bit of cherry blossom season there, walked around Daerungwon Park while trying on Hanbok for the very first time (I got a snazzy dark blue & white one with details in gold), visited Donggung Palace, among other things. I recognize so many little spots and streets and even specific mounds in this video, I (in)appropriately dubbed the ones at 15:28 "mother nature's ass cheeks" when I was there. I think other than Jeju (and Seoul of course), I definitely enjoyed being in Gyeongju the most, even moreso than Busan. Thank you for bringing those warm feelings and memories back to the surface ❤🦋✨

After spending a week in Seoul, I was so glad Gyeongju was so walkable. I decided to walk from my hostel to the big Gyeongju museum. It was supposed to take 50 mins, but it took me closer to 160 mins cos I kept making detours to take in all the sights. Only spent two days there, but it was amazing.

Gyeongju has always been my favorite place in Korea, although it was also where I experienced the scariest flooding I've ever seen in my life, like "make a u-turn before the water swallows the car" kind of flooding!

Gyeongju is a historical and cultural capital of korea. It was a capital city of silla dynasty which unify the three countries in the past(winner!). Very peaceful place, and have many historical things you can see.
