outside of seoul spring hits different :') 🌸🌸🌸 ALSO! we're going to have a little meet up on April 23rd! We'll be in Seoul Forest hopefully by the picnic tables or the stage starting at 11am. Very casual, just bring yourself and maybe a blanket if we run out of seating. Just chatting and lounging around :) I'll drop specific locations on my Instagram the day of! 🌸🌸🌸
My wife and I just completed an incredible two week trip through South Korea and I wanted to thank you for all your helpful videos - Gyeongju was a highlight for me and my wife loved some Busan cafes you covered previously!
For some random reason aka the algorythm, i found your channel yesterday at 4am in the morning when i was about to pass out of boredom, ended up being awake till sunrise watching your vlogs lmao. Now i really want to make a trip to Korea happen, a long dream of mine. Thanks a lot for your videos! :D
I was in Korean from 26 March to 31 March. Cherry was in full bloom! I did not plan to see cherry blossoms, but got to enjoy them at Seokchon Lake with my cousin, who I've not seen since 2008. I also saw my aunt for the first time since the 90's. She was so old and frail.....broke my heart! She said " this may be the last time!", and I just broke down. Thanks for capturing spring beauties in Korea, Cari!
i remember spending time with my family in gyeongju before my cousin got too busy with school to attend family gatherings 😭 thank you for the opportunity to revisit gyeongju through your eyes 🫶🏻
I think the flowers on the bush you didn't know was a spring flowering osmanthus, my favorite variety of that plant is an orange one that blooms in autumn that smells like apricots. The first time I saw/smelled it was in Yeosu and it took a year or so to figure out what it was called because even the Koreans I knew didn't know the Korean name for it. Then our neighbors across the street from us in Eonyang/Samnam planted one in their garden and man, our corner smelled so delicious ever early autumn.
One thing that i learned is that i really like to just wander while traveling. I don't wanna rush and it is cool because you end up finding other places
A simply BEAUTIFUL vlog, Cari... I love seeing all of the pretty cherry blossoms!! 🌸 🤍 This past winter felt long and arduous, but spring is FINALLY here and I welcome it with glee... sunny days, flowers, and good vibes here we come!! 😍 Enjoy the nice weather there, Cari~ 💗
Somethings cannot be Searched for , only Discovered . " when it's Fate , there is no coincidence ". the Season of Cherry Blossom 🌸 is the Time of Dreams , the Tears of a Dreamcatcher are Precious , the fall of the Cherry Blossom Petals 🌸, is as the fall of the tears of the Dreamcatcher " , catch the petal , catch the tear , catch the Dream and make a wish ✨,
Gyeongju vlogs are so surreal. Everytime I see a spot and I go "wait I recognize that! I've been there!" lol. I got there just after peak cherry blossom season (first week of April) so the petals were kinda darkened already but SO gorgeous and serene regardless... wish I could go back everyday
Love meandering when travelling - you tend to discover the coolest places! Busan and Gyeongju look stunning in spring....and capturing a snippet of that wedding couple was so cute 😍
I'm visiting South Korea for the first time next year. Your videos give me nostalgia for a place I haven't even been yet, they are so calming and wholesome.
I’m embarrassed to say I fell asleep the moment I started watching this, but it’s Sunday morning now and I’m enjoying this more than anything right now.
You always look like you're having a good time even when you tell us that whatever moment you just filmed got weird b/c XYZ, but something about this video made me think you were having a good time on a whole other level... as in "everything is right with the world."
I booked a trip to both Busan and Gyeongju earlier this month because of your past vlogs for this late April!!! What a perfect timing for this video!! I wish I could join the meet up 🥹
oh how i agreed with yours opinion in which the more i travel the more then i feel at ease and peace enjoying all the spot i could sight seeing even thought its not fully same as my list itinerary. it feels great bein tender to myself by just sit by on current place. put music on my ears. and being lost on the wind. likewise peoples said. just let it flow. put yourself blend with the wind wherever it takes you go. you never know what future hold. so just enjoy your moment at that time. right.
Love your short solo trips ❤ The cherry blossoms are so stunning, that long road lining the park in Gyeongju is just dreamy. This vlog really reflected the chill and no- stress vibes you were striving for. Appreciated this for the start to my sunday. Thank you!
I really like your new haircut and style! Gives you a more sophisticated look. I've now learned to eat before I watch your videos lol. This was a very pleasant, and relaxing video which was very enjoyable. Whether or not you realize it, it's a gift to have the time, opportunity and energy to be able to do what you do. The fact that you share it with everyone is a gift to us. Thank you, again, as always!
Your photography and editing is Absoloutely brilliant Cari .. you really are soo talented .. I always look forward to your wonderful vloggs . So relaxing to watch .. Thank you ❤❤
You always seem to catch the cherry blossoms at the right time! I feel like every year I see them through your eyes! I've been in Korea five years but always seem to miss them 😅
if i should pick the top 4 cities on the list to visit, gyeongju is definitely on the top, followed by busan, jeju and yeosu with yang yang as a honorable mention. thx for the great video with beautiful bgms.
So gorgeous beautiful! Normally we would have cherry blossoms at this time of year here in Sweden but we had a veeeery long winter so spring is very late! Hopefully in a couple of weeks ❤❤
@cari cakes thank you! It's slowly coming upon us, my tulips are starting to show with leave and seem to have multiplied since last year. Sun is shining, yesterday and today is warm! I have to check if the cherry blossoms are on their way in our central park in Stockholm
👋🏻❤🇫🇮 beautiful vlog. All those cafe's☕, cherry blossom🌸 & other flowers🌼. (I was so sleepy last night, so i watch this vlog about 8 hour after post.🙈)
see a month or so ago i commented on a winter vlog saying i couldn’t wait for spring and i think i jinxed us into having the shortest cherry blossom season ever😭 ty for bringing it back even just in video form! ps as an australian v happy you went to little aus, next time i rec a cafe named beacon^^
Spring has sprung, eh? Love cherry blossoms. Always a favorite on my trips to DC. BTW, your videos are amazing--the sheer artistry and storytelling is incredible!
This kind of reminds me of the music video of the song "Hopefully Sky" by Jeong Eun Ji, since it was filmed during cherry blossom season in Busan too ^^
I really missed Busan. Major withdrawal symptoms.😢 I wonder if its possible to work & stay in Busan. I was in Busan Apr 2 to 4. Wonderful Cherry blossom blooms too. But i heard the peak was end march.
usually trees growing that way are due to a reaction to stressors. the more deer eat or people cut the lower-branches as they grow, they tend to grow extra branches in the same spot as a defense mechanism, similar to how some leaves develop galls against wasp eggs or bark galls against insects. a lot more research is being done right now into why some trees grow "torqued" or not upright, but generally has to do with resource competition. I'd guess that the pines, which are a major shade tree, were restricting the cherry tree's access to sunlight as a sapling, so it probably just grew in whichever way it could find it, similar to how a sunflower follows the sun, but more permanent, cuz bark. hopefully that answers your questions a bit! :) thanks for letting me nerd in the comments lol
It would seem that your kind of cherry blossom crazy however long I've been watching your videos I don't know it seems like there's always cherry blossoms and there's always 😆
that one really tall cherry tree might be because trees in forests communicate through their root systems to alert each other of change of season and when to drop leaves/bloom etc. so it might just be confused due to the information coming from other trees. Learned from The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben ! a very interesting book about trees!
Your video came just in time. My family and I are booked for two nights in Busan and one night in Gyeongju. Planning out the itinerary was overwhelming as our trip is coming up in two weeks. I'm binge watching your videos right now to get some inspirations. By the way, can you share the link to the guesthouse you were staying at in Gyeongju? Also are all these places within walking distance from the guesthouse?
