It's just a lot of over policing some things that aren't traditional sometimes, but that comes from a good place of trying to preserve the integrity of football as a representation of a local community's culture. Granted, some of it is also rooted in toxic masculinity and xenophobia, but if globalisation hadn't done so much damage already to English football I think most younger people at least would be open minded.

BTW, in the spirit of this video, here's pretty much every team I particularly like (*off the top of my head* - I'm kinda nuts, ngl), at least across the world of football (for other sports, generally assume NYC takes precedence): NYC FC, Gotham FC, any somewhat decent semi-pro side from the Metro and/or greater New York area (USA), Chelsea (England), Vancouver FC (Canada), FC St. Pauli (Germany), Paris FC (France), RC Celta (Spain, plus watching a billion COPA90 videos means I have a preferred side in damn near every Spanish derby lol), Atalanta, Venezia (Italy - can't make up my mind on which I like more, plus I have a soft spot for AC Milan cuz Pulisic), Go Ahead Eagles (Netherlands), Royal Antwerp (Belgium), Sporting Club (Portugal), Shamrock Rovers (Ireland), Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bnei Sakhnin (Israel - the former bc I have a connection to that city, the latter bc I like seeing the Arab Israeli population represented well, like the anti-Beitar Jerusalem), Western Sydney Wanderers (Australia), Auckland City FC (New Zealand), FC Tokyo (Japan), FC Seoul (South Korea), East Bengal (India), Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa), Trabzonspor (Turkey), Flamengo (Brazil), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Santos Laguna (Mexico), Alianza Lima (Peru), Barcelona SC (Ecuador), Liverpool (Uruguay), Boca Juniors de Cali (Colombia), Ceramica Cleopatra (Egypt), Tre Penne (San Marino), ASKO Kara (Togo), FC Košice (Slovakia), Slavia Praha (Czechia), Kryvbas Kryvyh Rih (Ukraine), FCSB (Romania), Sheriff (Moldova), FC Urartu (Armenia), Puszcza Niepołomice (Poland), Žalgiris (Lithuania), Flora Tallinn (Estonia), Riga FC (Latvia), Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Hamrun Spartans (Malta), Monte Carlo (Macau), Bali United (Indonesia), Bangkok United (Thailand), Hanoi FC (Vietnam), Celtic, Vale of Clyde (Scotland), Wrexham, The New Saints (Wales), Loughgall (Northern Ireland), Rapid Vien (Austria), BSC Young Boys (Switzerland), FC Vaduz (Liechtenstein - yeah, yeah, yeah, technically it's in the Swiss league system), OFI (Greece), Doxa Katokopias (Cyprus), Swift Hesperange (Luxembourg), Sporting Lagos (Nigeria), Sporting de Cabinda (Angola), Young Elephant (Laos), Gorilla (Rwanda), Gazelle (Cameroon), Damissa (Benin), Ethiopia Bunna (guess), Dandy Town Hornets (Bermuda), FC Astana (Kazakhstan), Heaven Eleven (Liberia), Kuala Lumpur City (Malaysia), Kitchee (Hong Kong), Taichung (Taiwan), MTK Budapest (Hungary), Berekum Chelsea (Ghana), Everton (Chile), Aston Villa (Antigua and Barbuda), Juventus (Haiti - noticing a trend?), Robinhood (Suriname), Telaviv (Burundi), Nairobi City (Kenya), Old Edwardians (Sierra Leone), Simba (Tanzania), Chicken Inn FC (Zimbabwe), Young Buffaloes (eSwatini), HJK (Finland), Tromsø (Norway), Hammarby (Sweden), FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Vikingur (Iceland), Kí (Faroe Islands - Zealand knows all about them, and is a large reason why I'm a fan of them myself), FK Čukarički (Serbia), Hajduk Split (Croatia), Shkupi (North Macedonia), FK Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Olimpija (Slovenia), Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar), Harbour View (Jamaica), The Strongest (Bolivia), Inter Bom-Bom (Sao Tome and Principe - first one I'll openly say is entirely bc of the name, some of the others you can guess), Cherno More (Bulgaria), Vllaznia (Albania), AC d'Escaldes (Andorra), Alajuelense (Costa Rica), Cibao FC (Domincan Republic), Cebu (Philippines), Paro FC (Bhutan), Al Fateh (Saudi Arabia), Ulaanbataar (Mongolia), Machhindra (Nepal), Bashundhara Kings (Bangladesh), Al-Khaleel (Palestine), and I bet you anything there's definitely more that I'm forgetting. I swear this isn't cap, I try my best to have a team in as many leagues as possible cuz a) it helps me find a gateway to learn more about the country it's based in, and b) it's FUN! I have an actual rationale for every team, and I try and keep up with their seasons as best as I can. Wouldn't rep for a team that could be considered a direct competitor to them in their league, so repping an amateur side or one that's in a lower enough division that they wouldn't meet my big fave except for their equivalent of the FA Cup (maybe) is fine by me.

I am a Norwich City supporter through and through, however i dont understand the culture where youre not aloud to watch other clubs. As long as it isnt a rival, i dont think it is "criminal" to go watch another club play. I watch Peterbrough play one evening as Norwich weren't playing and had a great time. They arent our rivals and i didnt mind the 1 hour trip, it was fun, it was different and will probably do some more ground hopping next season!

I definitely think the original post was a wind up. It plays into our British sense of humour. I am a QPR fan and they are my team, but I have a Spanish team ( deportivo la coruna) that I support. And numerous other teams I have a soft spot for, mainly from managing them in football manager like Hampton and Richmond, AFC Wimbledon, Bruno’s magpies and several others. I like to see them do well. If they were playing QPr I would always want qpr to win, but playing other teams, I will cheer for them.

This is a sub-set of supporters you will find at any club. To them, enjoying yourself in ANY other stadium (unless it's because you are in the away section for your your club) is a mortal sin. There's also the sub-set of club supporters that still support ONE team, but aren't above acknowledgeing that other clubs exist and might even be fun to visit, as long as it's not a direct rival or part of the same league. For some of them, being a supporter means they are ALSO part of a shared sub-culture, so going to other stadiums is something that can be enjoyed seperate from being a fanatical supporter of your own team. (again, as long as it's not a direct or local rival). Most groundhoppers and lovers of football culture are like that, and among them there are even purists who enjoy only the culture as a whole and have moved beyond supporting a single club.
I've been a low-key groundhopper (in the middle category) for a long time now and I really enjoy soaking up the supporters-vibe at other clubs, and not just the big clubs either. Last trip was to Fortuna Köln and I had a blast. This doen't interfere with my fandom of my own club in any way....

It's an interesting point, but in the UK, if you are someone that switches teams that you support, you are generally considered the worst of the worst, unemployable. What happened to those people? Nobody knows! Exile? Camps? Death? Who knows!!
It is daft though. You are missing out on more experiences, and better quality of sports enjoyment. It does seem to be a British thing though. I once read that Bruce Lee, when he tried to teach Jeet Kune Do to white folk, encountered the notion that switching dojo/sensei was considered a total no-go. Whereas in the East they travel around, multiple teachers to become the best version of themselves.
I think it's just another case of some Brit nonsense.

I am a fairly new NFL fan from Croatia, I started watching at the end of the Patriots dinasty, and have enjoyed watching Mahomes do just incredible things, Burrow being sub-zero cool and Allen being an alien. And last year I also fell in love with Love Xd and CJ Stroud. I guess I just want to see great football, kind of like a tourist wants to see the attractions in a new city.
    But with soccer it's different.
I have loved Man Utd since my earliest memories of this game, back when Eric Cantona was HIM. And it sucks to see what my club is doing now and how low it has fallen. And I hate City with a burning passion even though 2 Croatian first-teamers play there. It defies logic. As it should. I feel like I must endure all my pain, because of that sweet, sweet UCL '99 finals.
Jamie partying with the BVB ultras feels tourist-y, especially for someone who bled for the Reds, whom I also hate 😅

I don't have anything to say against being in the Stands at Borrusia Dortmund. Jamie Carragher can do, whatever he wants in this regard. But there is the rule that you 're not allowed to film in the stands in which german ultras stand. This is because they sometimes do stuff that's illegal, not-legal at least. Whenever they make choreos which include any kind of pyro, the people holding the torches can be arrested by the police. So if you admire the scene and atmosphere in german grounds you have to respect this inoffical rule so that ultras won't be arrested for contributing to great choreos, because they were filmed by random people (JC counts to that) in the stands. At least in my honest opinion.
    Cheers

Personally, i only support one club full time. I do have divided loyalties internationally, being dual national, but that only comes up when Germany and England play against each other. Beyond that, I have other teams that I like, but dont necessarily support, and I will on occasion temporarily support a team for a specific match or occasion if it doesnt clash with any of my full time loyalties, such as cheering on Saarbrucken during their cup run. I think how football fans choose to enjoy the game is a personal thing, and not for policing by anyone else

The Everton fans’ notion is ridiculous….one can have multiple fan allegiances. That being said, the thing that annoyed me about Jamie C (and a lot of the ex player pundits who hide away having press box experiences of games) is that they don’t put themselves in the fans shoes or share fan experiences but still claim to speak for the fans. This one night in the stands was so new of an experience to Jamie, they made a big deal out it and like 3+ videos
