    Wish you had explained about the Funnel, if any funnel would work, and if it needs to be set at a certain depth before dropping the Alignment pin in Station 1?? You just kinda skipped right to dropping it in, so I wasn't sure what to do at this point, still working through it at the moment, but an explanation on this would have been a Big Help, Thank You!

    Jason, thank you. I’m getting back into reloading. You made the instruction extremely easy. I see that you love your tools. Your reloader looks brand new. You have style.

    Funny coincidence.. I only just started watching this and in the background, you have the same setup for your case trimmer I have. I also have mine mounted alone on a RCBS.

    Good video thanks..I only wish that you had shown the new and old powder rod plate that you exchanged after taken the whole shell plat holder apart. Just to let us know if there was a big difference between them .I mention this because i am using a fail safe powder measure and rod with out changing that part that came with the kit you had. Thank you

    For my SDB I ordered tool head conversion and got the new style powder measurer. Called Dillon that it would not work with the fail safe rod that is on my old powder measurer that is on my press. They sent me the updated fail safe rod that work with newer powder measures for free and told me the new rod would work with both styles of powder measurers

    What does the caliber conversion kit have to do with changing the bell crank? I have some from early '90s as well. The old are completely compatible with the current equipment. I much prefer the old style bell crank system. They are much smoother. Though I understand the point in trying to mitigate double charges, the new style is not as consistent for my liking.

      Wondering the same thing here. I bought my 550 new in 1991. I have over a dozen caliber conversions for the 550 and a mix of old and new style failsafe systems on my powder measures. NO ISSUES with the caliber conversions. The parts don't even touch each other.

    I’d like to use the Dillon powder measure on my rock chucked 7. Can you tell me what that fail safe rod does? Can I get around it somehow or attach it some other way?

    After you got everything back together and you threw your powder charges, did you weigh the powder charge AND the casing?

    I must have a really old powder Measure because mine doesn’t have that screw on the side like yours dose. Actually the original linkage on mine looks like a L.

      Wow, I have always heard that they had such uber great customer service......so did your old system stop working correctly?

    • @jasonwilliams9663
      @jasonwilliams9663  8 лет назад +1

      +Cmax Arms no,everything worked great. it's just when I wanted to install the new caliber conversion with the new powder measure, my old powder measure fail safe rod would not work correctly. everything is perfect and working great.

    • @CmaxArms
      @CmaxArms 8 лет назад

      That is what I thought but i am surprised that they did not offer it to you at no charge....

      @@jasonwilliams9663 That's not what you said initially. The issue is the new style powder measure with the new bellcrank assembly. It has nothing to do with the caliber conversion kit. I just have old and new style fail safe rods for both my 550 and 650. Problem solved!

    what conversion kit did you purchase which caused you to buy the upgrade?

    • @jasonwilliams9663
      @jasonwilliams9663  5 лет назад

      The kit i had was the old obsolete kit. It did have the correct fail safe.

      Jason Williams thanks bud! I’m just set up my 550 last night. It has the black plate on it and the old rod. So I wasn’t sure if I needed to upgrade those parts.
