This dish looks incredible I can't wait to make this in a few days time.
Keep up the excellent work with the food and video content Marion!
Hey Marion love this dish, the cold weather has arrived in Melbourne so I’ll definitely will be cooking this in the next few days❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
You can try ginger soup, which can keep you warm in winter. Slice ginger, add red dates and scallions, then pour 500 ml of clear water, boil it over high fire for ten minutes, and then add brown sugar. You can also drink a little after you get caught in the rain, which is very useful.
I love your style of cooking show and of course the food is yummy. 👍👍
Definitely making this tomorrow!! 🤍
Hope you enjoy it!
Love this
Hi Marion, my family loved this very much and everyone said its the best Beef Stew they ever tasted

Just made this exactly as the recipe calls for it so simple so easy had all the ingredients in my pantry.
The only thing I actually didn’t have in my pantry were sweet potatoes but I did have some frozen sweet potato fries in the freezer that I will just bake and serve with is this tonight -
Can’t wait !! I cooked it on 300 F (150 C) for 3 hours - and am letting it sit out for a few hours before dinner so it can really come together - thank you Marion as always !!

Darn...all my MANY years of hangovers....I NEVER knew about Ginger....lol.....great recipe... I will be making this dish in Florida!!!
I will be doing this for my tomorrow’s hangover
Perfect! 😆
I've been having such a hard time since I started cutting down on carbs in my diet because I love Marion so! But her recipes are usually quite carb heavy 😭but I think I can work with this, maybe if I swap out the sugar and sweet potatoes with sugar substitute and squash... 🤩
Sweet Potato is lower in carbs than white potato 🙂
I use daikon instead of potatoes.
You could switch out the sweet potato for daikon, and I don't think that much brown sugar will affect the carb count too much as it's spread out over the whole dish. Also, instead of eating it straight up like she does, you can serve this with store bought cauliflower/broccoli "rice" - I got a mix of this in Fry's and it was sooo good compared to plain cauliflower rice - I just dumped it out of the packet & sautéed it a bit with some oil & salt and it was really delicious.
Marion, can your recipie work without an oven? If yes, pls advise cooking method. Tks for sharing this fabulous recipie.
Haiyah Auntie Marion, so many wedgtable!

Really like all your cooking. Do you think you could do a video on how you chop your garlic, ginger and spring onions? I try to copy and I just suck 😝
This dish looks delish, Marion!!! I'm gonna try it and I'll tag you on IG when I make it hehe
Great! Please do!
Hi Marion. Hello from Texas. The stew looks delicious!! May I know what type of pot are you using? Is it ceramic?
Glad to see you getting into nutrition which so few cooks are. It's a long and winding road that leads to understanding this complex subject but just give yourself time.
Marion, where is the pot from? I love all your videos, seriously!!
This recipe looks amazing, I will be making this! What is is the casserole dish you are using? It also looks amazing!
Love that casserole -- what brand is it?
You always make me so hungry. Egg plant is not my favorite vegie. It taste bitter could be how I prepare it but I doubt it. I've had others egg plant. Can I add another squash?
Thanks for the recipe. I can't wait to try it.
Oh yes, you could add another squash or just leave it out :-)
@@Marionskitchen thank you. I figured but it might change the taste.
Hey Marion, apart from the ginger helping with the hair of the dog (hangover) will the ink from the beef also help? …..😂 🤣🤣🤣😉
this is awesome, need to know what cast iron pot brand are you using?
Happy Mother’s Day.
Yumm 😋 talk about comfort food & immune boosting!! Can't wait to try this. TFS Marion along w/the immune boosting info! Very helpful. Just curious why you didn't precook the sweet potato like you did the eggplant? Is it not good to?
Glad you enjoyed the video! And the sweet potato takes longer to cook and doesn't turn all mushy quickly like the eggplant. I wanted colour on the eggplant but I didn't want it to disintegrate too much :-)
@@Marionskitchen Ah I see. Will be sure to do the same then. Thanks 🙂
Hello miss Marion thank you so much for your the most super delicious yummy yummy Recipe and thank you for your beautiful video 💌💌💌🟧🟧🌻🥰🟧🥰🥰🟣🟣🟣😍💗🟣🟢🟢💗💗♦️🌻🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵💞💞🍂🍂💕😘😘😘💐💐🟥🟥🎈🎈🔴🔴🔴🎈🎈🟥💐🔵🔵🔵💐🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🟥🟥🟥🟥🎈🎈🟥🔴🔴🟢💗🟣🟧🟧💌🍁🍁♦️♦️♦️♥️♥️💞🔵😘😘😘💕🍂🍂💐🟥🎈🎈🎈🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🟨🟨😘🟨
This recipe reminds me of Bò Kho Vietnamese Beef Stew. I like dip a baguette into the stew and let it soak up the sauce. It's also really good with vermicelli noodles or over rice.
What a surprise ^^
I have leftover sweetpotato and Aubergine in the house ^^
Guess what we're having tonight?
Highest in Zinc is oyster.
Hey Marion, where can I get your kind of pot?
I keep repeating this recipe thank you. I wanted to know what brand is the black pot you are using please.
I had an amazing Hunan Spicy pork in a restaurant the other day, would love to make it at home can you teach us Marion?
Great suggestion! Will add it to my list!
Don't worry about alcohol in cooking, it all evaporates once you hit 80C (175F) anyway, all you get left is the flavorings.
Hi Marion! Do we have a replacement for Chinese black vinegar? We don’t have it here in my local grocery store. TIA
Looks so good, but what could I substitute the eggplant with?
a few traditional suggestions would be carrots, potatoes, or radish (daikon)
Zuchini
Hello Mairion hiw rvyou your food so good 👌👌
👍👍🙏👍👍
Can you make this in the Panasonic rice cooker?
Hi Marion! May I know what is the ingredient/oil that you use to seer the beef at minutes 2:16?
