Beef fingers is unheard of here in the heart of Northern California's Silicon Valley

@passionatetrvler Obnoxious SiliValley hipsters who know nothing about food and can't cook wrecked all of the San Francisco Bay Area's popular-priced restaurants. Super-rich yuppies killed off the legendary upscale ones. SF eateries have been generally bad for years.
The only foods this bunch eats on their massive salaries are pretentious, flavorless and a guaranteed ripoff.

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I just cooked it tonight for dinner, it’s so delicious! I substituted the Chu Hou paste with Char Sui sauce from one of your recipes instead of using oyster sauce as I originally planned to use. It still turned out so yummy. The finger meat was quite fatty, so I removed most of the fat before parboiling for 5 minutes. However, I might have to lessen the time to pressure cook it to 20-25 mins. next time because the meat and vegetables were a little too tender.

I made a close version of this tonight, as I didn’t have star anise, rice wine, or chu hou (they are now on my grocery list for round two). Used a bit of ground cinnamon, brown sugar rather than crystalized, hoisin & gf soy sauce, and it was still DELICIOUS. I can’t wait to try it with all the ingredients!

30 minutes with a QPR in the instant pot is all you need for the boneless rib finger meat...no need to par boil, making it even quicker. Add meat then veg and top with sauce... I also only used 1/2 cup water, it was more than enough. 😋 very good
