I can tell Brodie that you literally set your space up like a mini tv studio...and since you work on NBC Bay Area, it makes sense that you have a super industry/professional leaning set up. I bet you used to be a behind the scenes on-air producer at some point during your career...only a producer has a set-up like this lol.And you a good brother showing us how the soup is made so it can also encourage us to jump into the space and do it well. Also you didnt add that your intros, gfx and VOs are top notch professional too. And I havent seen a DBX set up since I worked in radio in the 90s.

Very neat home studio. My hobby is pretty much Audio/Video. I own a Soundcraft Signature 22 sound mixer in my bedroom as my main mixer for my TV audio, a sub mixer on my desk in my living room, a Denon bluetooth rack system, and a dvd player. My desk mixer is a SoundCraft Signature 16 as my sub mixer, in my living room. I use a ton of Shure microphones, this digital limiters I use at home is a dbx Driverack PA2 DSP. Brands I use are, Shure, dbx, JBL Boombox, Denon, Mackie, Soundcraft, TOA, Behringer. Im pretty much the only person in Sarnia, Ont. to have a 35 RU audio equipment rack in my apartment living room.

Never thought this was something that I wanted to see, but I was highly fascinated by this!

Long time follower of your channel(s) -- I always appreciate your insights, coming from someone who's out there actually doing the thing - not just talking about the thing. Thanks for the tour!

One of the best at home studios that I have seen on RUclips. You asked for advice a month or so ago but all changes you make should be minor because it looks pretty fantastic.

It's neat having context for both what we do see and we don't, like what you're glancing over at on the side. As for your question, I don't know what I'd replace the sign with, to be honest. It does fit in the sense of subscribe to my social media channels, although it's a little outdated now (thanks, Elon).

Would never have thought how small that studio is.

Sweet! Did not know Soundcraft made baby consoles. I have a Yamaha MG12XU but had I known about the Soundcraft, I probably woulld have gotten one, having mixed many live rock shows on large format Soundcraft and Midas consoles. Nice Studio, you are a total pro! 👍👍

Brodie, replace the picture frame with a Tidbyt pixel screen. I have one on my desk and it’s pretty visually interesting and customizable.

Brodie... get a TidByt for that spot where the picture space is. I've been looking at them. It would be cool in the background.

another awesome tour brodie! your studio always impresses me and it's a great reflection of how much you love your line of work! i assume you have a separate dedicated setup for pre/post production (keynotes, video editing, etc.)? As for the picture frame, maybe replace it with something to reflect your history in broadcasting like a screen grab of one of your first shows?

You didn't show us the 440 panel out in the garage to run all that stuff... 😃...Remember. Cable combs are your friends. Electricians are notoriously OCD, so you don't have to go overboard. Yeah, I still need the sliders of a physical mixer. Trying to fade with DAWs just drives me nuts...Well, somebody had to use that green shag carpet... 🤣

Not to get too personal or anything but looking at all your equipment, that cannot be an inexpensive investment. Do you have sponsors or such? Great content Brodie, love your shows, subjects and guests!! Especially JD lately!!

Certainly comes with a cost. I have put much of what the RUclips channel generates back into this studio and other necessary gear.

Again, I love the behind the vail content. One question. Did you have the technical expertise to set that up yourself, or did you bring in people to help?

My Gaff Tape and cable ties are pulling me toward that cable tangle. I just cant handle it! hehe. Is that a 50mm or an 85 on the canon?
