This is on my Funeral Playlist. When I Die: WHEREVER I MAY ROAM!!!!!!!!!! That last line sums it up best = "Carved upon my Stone: My Body lies but STILL I ROAM!!!!!!"
It's so mad that this music was so scorned at the time. It was dismissed as "noise", from everyone outside the "scene". It was laughed at, they were all just posers with long hair, it was so completely underappreciated. It's so good to see it being appreciated, at last!
Metallica are masters at songmaking. But have the perfect heavy mix. It builds and builds, then gets faster and faster. Then throw everything at you and it all makes sense. All full of suspense. That's what we need in a song. They never disappoint.
This has been my theme song the last couple years. After corona i was very unstable financially and had to adjust over a dozen times. Including living in a tent for a couple months, three different times. Happy to say i have found more permanent shelter, atleast through the winter. This should enable me to save up and buy an RV so that even if im still roaming, I'll have a place to sleep at all times...
My dad who is a retired music teacher of 52 years even likes Metallica. That says a LOT! He said their musicality was far and beyond anyone else of their genre.
Fell in love with this song when those guitars dropped I swear❤️ nice reaction as always, been watching you for a while and I really enjoy them😊 keep it going ❤️
If you've ever been there, out on the streets and in the wild with nothing but what's on your back and in your pockets, then you develop a certain fortitude about keeping on keeping on, putting one foot in front of the other; everything is doable, if you take your time and do things right, and just cope. The lyrics in the song fit that survival vibe really well, especially with that driving music. It's great music for heavy labor or just getting things done fast.
I saw you listened to Pulp, need to listen to Common People live at Glastonbury 1995,unscheduled show, song only been out 3-4 weeks! I really like to see you're reaction to the live performance. Fingers crossed, Love your feelings and hearing you thoughts in the moment listening to music of all types. You Rock!! M
You should listen to 187 Invitation by Lord Infamous and Lil Wyte! They use the sample from the beginning and the beat switches between the verses and choruses!
Do some older Metallica... "Anesthesia.. Pulling Teeth", "Fade To Black", "Ride the Lightning", "Blackened", "Harvester of Sorrow", "And Justice For All", "One", "Master of Puppets", "Hit the Lights", "The Four Horsemen".... Metallica has INCREDIBLE MUSIC.❤❤❤
Love this one as I do many of theirs. I hope you do yourself a favor and go back and do a few, at least, from their first album: The Four Horsemen__Seek & Destroy__Jump in the Fire. I saw them in San Francisco in early '83 before the first album. Dave Mustaine was still in the band on guitar and Cliff Burton had just joined the band.
Know that there are different types of Metal.... All with characteristic elements. Symphonic Metal Trash Metal Death Metal Heavy Metal Folk Metal Etcetera etcetera Metallica paved the way for many bands.
Its brilliant isnt it :o) Im 50 shhhh in 2 days bahaha say nothing ... my four kids all grew up listening to this album ( and others ) Ive always said its by far their greatest to date ... So glad you enjoyed it, really hope you can find time to check out some of the others including Dont treat on me , enter sandman , God that failed and one I honestly think youll love, nothing else matters, so haunting... Superb reaction as always, love n light my friend from Scotland xoxox check out W.A.S.P live in the raw 😇😏
Happy birthday! 🎂 Mine just passed 57 young! This album dropped with a bang, 1st album since the loss of Cliff...I remember half of the fans pissed off that it wasnt fast enough or thrash enough! Grunge just hit like a Bomb exploding!! I loved the Black album,(MOP, AJFA,KTA albums too) it helped me through some tough times (divorce) so I made sure my kids now 27 & 35 grew up on metal, rock and grunge and my daughter loves ❤️ them all as well, which she should I was pregnant with her and seen them 2x! Seen Metallica 5x (90, 91,92,93 and 2x 94) total, lucky I've seen many live shows, a lot of them have passed away sadly 😥 But I started taking my daughter to concerts since she was 13, she loves it! My son has been to a few, Linkin, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Korn, Linkin Park, Godsmack, Nirvana, Mayhem, and Ozfest he loved it too as he was in his early 20s. Now they both have a huge range and love of All kinds of music 🎶 which I feel is pretty Awesome! 😍 🎼🤘🎸 P.s. My daughter has all my ticket stubbs over 1000 shows, venues and clubs (where most bands started) since I was 15yrs old 1980!! One stub/show was 1980 Motley Crue at the Whiskey a go go!! Lol ❤️ Dammm, Great times!!
@@Metal_Mary omg wow now THATS really something..... sending love n hugs your way... wish Id seen Nirvana ooft that would have been amazing. Was lucky to see ACDC before Malcome passed and WASP ( Blackie is still hot lol ) a few years ago now. YOU are one cool Mum and your family sound absolutely wonderful x🌹
I'm going through your channel watching all Metallica and Backstreet boys reactions... Yep, I'm a fan of both oddly enough 😅.. You should definitely check out the new stuff of BSB, I recommend "Chances" I think you'd like it.. As for Metallica, just go through all their songs, I'm biased.. I wouldn't know 😁
I don’t like Metallica, I don’t like metal. But this album in particular is spectacular and the intro to this song in particular is one of my all time favorites.
Just listen to I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living / All Over Again by Fleetwood Mac and brace yourself for the guitar of Peter Green. It is a live recording. Peter was a genius.
This is what happened when people paid for records and bands spent a lot of time in the studio making sure that shit was perfect. Now that people download shit on the cheap, there's no surprise that epic shit like this doesn't happen anymore. Metallica spent over a year recording this album. That shit isn't happening today.
HI from Adelaide Australia, please please please please, check out Metallica haverster of sorrow live in Moscow 1991 video. Look at the crowd 1.6 million people.
This is on my Funeral Playlist. When I Die: WHEREVER I MAY ROAM!!!!!!!!!!
That last line sums it up best =
"Carved upon my Stone:
My Body lies but STILL I ROAM!!!!!!"
Same!! Best last line in a song! Imo 🎸🎼🤘
Nice!
Behold, the greatness that is Metallica. 🤘
Damn right! 🤘🤘
Hell Yeah!🤘

One of my favourite Metallica songs. Love the lyrics
The guitar solo is probably Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield. The lyrics are about what it was like touring.
The solo is by Kirk Hammett
My generation has THE best music. Nice to see someone your age opening up to my music.
80's baby
Hey hey, im 63, there at the beginning 🫶🤘🤘🤘
This song is criminally overlooked for how fucking HEAVY it is. That Black Album guitar tone is INSANE
Metallica's members are musical geniuses.
Real shit. Some people don't understand the quality of rock. I was one of them
Probably my favorite songs from them. The intro is 🔥

Metallica - the gateway drug to Metal addiction 😂😂 Great reaction! 🤘Rock On!🤘 Kelly
My adult daughter, who is way far away from a rocker, absolutely loves this song. Something about the cadence I suspect; or maybe it's just genetics!
Cadence awesome
Metallica is timeless
My dad who is a retired music teacher of 52 years even likes Metallica. That says a LOT! He said their musicality was far and beyond anyone else of their genre.

FIRST! Great to see you Jovaughn!

Wow, same here.
One of their best
Immense track! The musicianship is phenomenal on this … 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the content bro!
The cracking sound you hear throughout the main riff after the intro (when it drops) is actually the bass guitar. 12 string Hamer to be exact
I’ve never seen a reactor do Metallica-until it sleeps. Please please do that one. 🇨🇦🖖🏻

Thank you, Jay.
That Indian sitar tune sounds like black grape in the name of the father tune Shaun Ryder old group.
At first, I was thinking an Indian (dot) vibe, like a sitar playing. I don’t recall hearing this one so, I think it’s a first for me.

If you can, watch the oficial video, thats complete the experience. Regards from Brazil!
welcome back
Kirk Hammett using the wah pedal does the solo. I am a guitarist and I don’t care what anyone says, that solo is effing great.
Out of interest, my favourite music critic, where have you been over recent months? I missed you.
Insane
The intro to this song needs to be experienced in a room with Giant speakers on (almost) max volume. It should hurt a lil 😝🤘
Your next reaction of this group - please do "Nothing else matters" and its cover by Marlisa😉
JUST GOT BACK FROM GYM, BUT UGH, SORRY A METEOROID HIT ME. ANYWAYS THIS IS WHEREEVER I MAY ROAM
Have you done Fade to Black? That's my favorite Metallica.
Best Metallica song for me
Jovaughn - dude you have to listen to korn's cover of melallica. song- 'one' - live on (mtv) Icon - its lit. its a banger. peace be safe John

You would definitely like "Hero of the Day " then
I've seen Metallica five times and they're so better in concert... they are unmatched in their abilities
React to : Orian or To live is to die or Four horsemen ;-) Please do more Metallica
pretty sure the solo guitar is using phrygian mode. it gives like epypt vibes because the flat second
This song is "heavy" metal. Kind of similar feel to Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath.
que buen tema
Great reaction, would love for you to do Spillways, by GHOST
Just listen to I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living / All Over Again by Fleetwood Mac and brace yourself for the guitar of Peter Green. It is a live recording. Peter was a genius.

Guitar solo definitely Kirk Hammett.

Checkout King Nothing.
I hope you like Rammstein once you get to them 🌀
Make sure to do all their hits 👍 there's more you missed besides this one
That would more than likely be Kirk Hammett on the solo instead of James hetfield.
❤
This is soooo bad.
I mean soooo badass!
Don't deprive yourself of the lyrics. They're epic. Bars bars bars.
Do not drive with this playing! You may become a road warrior.
😁
solo--------------> kirk hammett 👍
💀🎸
❤💜
Metallica is the exption it's Metal but it's not that boring noise pollution metal that just screaming and aggressive instruments...
