not to be a wise ass here, but I'm pretty sure he is alternating between floor tom and kick here. Albeit at an incredibly fast speed. Like I wish I could do it even half as fast as him. I think Connor might have been watching some el estepario videos lately :D He is the master of that lick.

How do you record live drums?
Typically, I get the stems from all of our mics on stage and mix it afterwards. But this video is a mix of gopro audio and just a stereo mix of what was going to front of house.
