I'd gotten rid of social media for the last year or so, haven't posted apart from 2-3 activism posts. But when I do use it it's only for a few seconds to minutes no more than 5 and I've turned off notifications and it's actually great! No more pointless distractions and redundant notifications about literally nothing. I've been trying to learn music and get back outdoors more and it is working. I've done more in the past month than I have in 3 years. All this guy said didn't apply to me, I don't have friends but I don't feel lonely because I don't rely on anyone to entertain or coddle me I don't care what everyone else is doing so I no longer get FOMO. Trust me, we don't need this shit I'm only in here coz I'm on my period and lazy The rest of the time, I'm actually living ya'll No one knows how good it feels to be silent, to just experience something and not feel the need to tell everyone and just keeping it sacred

Extremely shitty that you think a woman should censor the fact she's having a period. I hope next time you're sick and miserable someone tells you to shut up about it, and it was in passing. I just quit my social media. It's only been a month (just made a video of my results). I swapped youtube for social media as well! haha. But I think youtube content is much better than instagram and twitter scrolling.
Thanks Willy, I get the suck of boredom part, its the same suck that comes from quitting online games that can consume your life...I replaced it with Social Media, now in the lurking stage....but replacing it with being a creator. :)
