    Wow super awesome job. I really like how you added wood to the shelves to give it a higher end look and the piece you added to the top. It did two things it filled the space that had a gap and now stuff won’t fall off behind the top. Also it looks great🥰

    Looks great. The back plinth makes it look very professional and everything will stay on the desk instead of possibly falling down the back. 10 out of 10. Lol

      Thanks for the high score, lol! The plank was an afterthought that actually made the whole piece come together. Funny how those things happen. Thanks so much again!

      Thank you so much! It does take some tools to build, but it's not too too bad. It was a great couple project for us - maybe something for you two to work on together :) Thanks for the sweet comment

    It's always so fun to hear IKEA product names pronounced in different languages for a Swede. XD
    Hyllis literally means 'Shelfie' by the way.

      @shellydwatson 7 лет назад +1

      I hear ya! I went once when the DFW area finally got one and it was awesome...I just haven't gotten back out that way since then. I want some of those bag holder/vinyl holders and to redo my living room, so I definitely will be going. I think I saw that shipping was pretty high if you order online? It would definitely be worth it to make the trip out there. :)

    • @TheDailyDIYer
      @TheDailyDIYer  7 лет назад +2

      We didn't get an IKEA till a couple of years ago. I had been really missing out before that. Shipping is CRAZY expensive. If you live close, definitely worth the drive. I have those bag holders for vinyl too. Works great! I tried to talk hubby into the white Ektorp (sp?) couches... but with two kids he was right to be worried about that purchase. Glad we went with the dark brown leather instead. Makes my life easier that way.

    Hello Shannon just wanted to let you know that you are so blessed with such creativity. Like you I love working with wood and crafts. I’m curious about one thing though about your printer. Have you ever used the cameo? If so which is the simpler of the two? Love all your videos. So much I will confess I have watched them all and more so I’m a repeater. I love watching them more than once. Take care God bless you and your family. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us copycaters,well at least me,(being the copycat)

    • @TheDailyDIYer
      @TheDailyDIYer  6 лет назад

      Aw! Love hearing that you are so inspired by my channel! Warms my heart! "Copycat" away, lol! I have a Silhouette Cameo 3. The Silhouette program (Silhouette Studio) is the same for all the Silhouette Machines. The difference in machines is the sizes that they cut. So the Cameos (all generations) cut 12" wide where the Portrait cuts 9" wide. The Cameos are a little different just in that the newer one has a touch screen and attachments you can get for it, plus an auto blade (which is NOT worth all the hype). I hope that helps clear some of it up. I hope to do a video on this soon. Thanks for watching!!

    This is great! Thanks for sharing. Did you use wood glue to secure your 2×12 desktop? Could you have had the desktop cut in one piece?

      +Monique Hernandez No you can use wood glue though! It's been fine without it though 👌🏻 You could use a solid piece of wood for the top but much more $$$

    Might be a good idea to link the products you use.

    What size of drill bit did you use to make the new holes for the shelving? Also, did you need a special kind of bit since it needed to go through metal?
