Great footage, l can never get enough of the legendary Mapogos. It seems to me that all 6 of them bonded in 3 pairs. T with KT the most obvious. Then you see Big Mac always with PB. Finally you would see Dreadlock most of the time with Rasta. Very interesting dynamics as they were heartbroken when the other died or was killed.
But unfortunately at the end makhulo and p.b remain together with last breath ❤️
That's not actually accurate.
Mr.T and KT were more often together because they were littermates. Rasta's twin was PB so just like the younger twins, they were often together and were separated from the other 3 when Rasta died and PB returned with serious injuries.

Makhulu is often associated with PB the most because they lived the longest and because after Dreadlocks, Rasta, and KT died, a lot of footage of Makhulu, PB, and Mr. T was taken. In actuality, it was Makhulu that really bonded amongst all his brothers and Dreadlocks was probably the same, although he maybe bonded more with Rasta and PB because they were closest in age.

It is said that whenever there's a fight of Dreadlocks the beast was present its always 100% success.. he's tha largest mapogo after all and he is known to hunt buffalo and giraffe alone.

What a great photo of the two of them at the end, definitely no other lion coalition could have dispatched the 6 legendary Mapogos, cowardly people over there in slabby sands. It would have been nice to have seen them a little longer. The music makes me sad then I get mad 😡 but at least they are at peace. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I see Rasta and he looks so much like Othawa Male... It makes me cry. They were both so beautiful and had such a kingly bearing! But Rasta had the experience of a killer, while unfortunately OM was a lone male for most of his life, and never got a chance to really know his own strength against other male lions.

Out of all the Mapogos, Rasta is the one you least want to mess around with. He's one of the most aggressive lions and just a vicious fighter. What he you lacks in size he makes up in aggression. He also has huge forearms which almost make it impossible to roll him on his back. The only mapogo to beat out Makhulu for mating rights, which is not an easy feat.
It is said that he was even more aggressive than Mr t and kinky tail, I believe and correct me if I am wrong that Rasta was the one who visited his two brothers the most times in the east and that is why some rangers called him the third Mlowathi, I would have loved that Rasta had been there when they fought against the majingilanes ... with the help of Rasta they would have finished them.

One thing is clear, these two were taken by humans. First, they tried to cover up Rasta with the Majingis but the fans took it upon themselves to unmask them, they should feel ashamed. The same did not happen with Dreadlocks, the proof were there just above the table. What fault were these magnificent lions? They should have let nature run its course ... but no, they wanted the mapogos out anyway

Rasta was the twin (monozygotic) of Pretty Boy (they were like two drops of water). Mr. T and KT were dizygotic.
I say this because watching the video it seems that the twins were Rasta and Dreadlocks. Although since they were only two months apart, they also had a very strong bond.
I didn't even know lion twins could be monozygotic, but I doubt Rasta and PB were. I've seen 2 different rangers in 2 different occasions be unable to tell if Rasta was indeed Rasta or if he was Shaka, both were "this one is either Shaka or Leonide".
KT resembles Rasta more than Rasta resembles his own twin.
Perhaps when they were younger they looked more alike, but once they fully developed their manes, they surely did not looked the same.

If Rasta had been KT's twin, he would never have had such a close relationship with T. They were a few months apart, so since they were cubs they used to always be together.

It just happened that he apparently resembled Rasta more since we have 2 Rasta videos in 2 different occasions where ranger is trying to figure out who the lion is, Leonide or Shaka. They don't even bring in PB.

If it wasn't because of Mr T and Kinky tail's instability, this coalition would have been a lot greater.

for years I tried to figure out the definitive Hierarchy of the 6 of them ... obviously Mak usually gets the title for the leader cause he was the oldest and kind of led the 5 of them through youth but besides that Im curious to see what people think
I would of haves like to see some videos of Dreadlocks and Rasta hunting it seems they were the ones with the less video. They might of had a stronger bond than what they say about Rasta and Pretty Boy. It seemed that they were mostly always together maybe in between Mr.T and Kinky Tail, and Pretty BoY and Makulu. I think their bond special bond as brothers twin brothers or not they were born together, but it seems they are just like human, Rasta problobly told Pretty hey bro I am going with my friend my cousin Rasta and Pretty Boy told Rasta I am staying here with his older brother they prefer to stay closer to home. Then if anybody messes with them they call eachother. I wished we knew what happened that night Mr.T went back with his 4 brothers to get revenge. Did the rangers stop them is what people belive. Yes, they would (they killed the entire Sand River pride). And possibly they also killed the cubs when T was reunited with his brothers after KT's death (and they took the opportunity to blame him).
So the sons of blondie fought the sons of the Mapogos . With the Mapogos boys winning . Now you need to look up the sand river massacre. This tells the story of how ranger Botha killed the entire sand river pride after refusing to maintain the fences that separated the pride from neighboring peoples ! So yes man did kill nearly all of the mapogo offspring ! If you watch the recent video of what some say is Mapogos killing blondie you will here the rangers opinion of the Mapogos, and how much they are disliked by many in the sabi sands !
The reason you see some of the not so much talked about relationships between the brothers ( Mak and Mr T , Dreads and Rasta , Mak , Mr T and Pretty Boy ) are because at times all of the brothers patrolled alone for long periods and while this was happening there was film taken with the odd pairings of the brothers . And for many of us it's the first time we've seen it ! I was surprised to see how affectionate Mr T was with Mak when pretty boy and KT werent around ! And remember Pretty boy was on his own when jumped by 4 lion and nearly killed . When Mak and Mr T saved him ! So I think at any time one or more of the boys were missing from the line up ! Peace be safe !

The title name is wrong. Rasta and dreadlock is the same lion. Scar is the name of the other lion, he had huge noticeable scar on his hip. Makulu, Pretty boy, Scar, Dreadlock/Rasta, Kinky Tail, and Mr. T.
