Big Makhula was my all time favorite he was so loyal, and such a great leader! It's sad seeing him old, tired, and alone in the end but he lived a long life for a male lion!
Makhulu gived their fathers 1-2 more years to live with him helping them. Without him rollercoaster males would take over long before. Rollercoaster actually never went back until mak wasnt there. Respect for makhulu thriving to at least same age(around 15 of age that is less then 1 in 100 amongs males in my opinion) as their father without getting protection mak gived their fathers back then. Probably most capable lion amongs that i know. Most loveble feature on him is ofc his protectivnes and care. Its so sad that lions are destined to have very hard time before passing

Twenty five elephants, standing shoulder to shoulder, with youngsters behind them, stared down at the nervous but blood-crazed scavenger-hunters. They neither charged nor fled. That's one of the coolest stories I've ever heard. I love Makhulu, he's my favorite of the Mapogos. I do think he's the biggest reason for their success, even though he had brothers that were quite prolific as well.

Considering he was the last one left, that is a beautiful possibility, i have never seen a Lion look up at the sky like that before tbh. I also noticed when a Lion is close to death (near rangers), like Mr. T, they always look directly into the rangers eyes before dying.

An extraordinary lion, I don't think even Notch has shown such a beautiful bahaviour. Makulu tried to join another pride when he was 2 years old, and against all odds, he did it. He helped his fathers who were getting old and made sure they died of old age, as kings, in 2004. Then he stayed with the pride, protecting them and helping with the hunting, but incredibly, not as a dominant male who mated with the females or killed cubs, but as normal "son" of the pride, despite being fully adult ( which usually never happens since males are kicked out when they start to reach maturity ), from 2004 when the last WS Male died, to 2006 when the Mapogos left, the Sparta/Eyrefield Pride had no dominant male. In the next year ( 2005 ) Makhulu formed a coalition with the twins Rasta and PB, they went out to wreak havoc, but never abandoned their younger brothers while they still were with the Pride, Makhulu stayed and waited for the 3 younger Mapogos to grow old enough and join his coalition. As late as 2006 the Mapogos were seeing chasing the Styx Pride and protecting their birth pride, the Eyrefield/Sparta Pride, when they got into a confrontation with the Styx lionesses. Once Dreads, Mr.T, and Shaka reached full maturity, they joined the other 3 and they finally left their birth pride, and went out to conquer their own territory, establishing themselves as dominant males. It's just fascinating how amazing the Mapogos were, and specifically how special Makhulu was.

When the west streets allowed their lost son to join the pride and coalition it was the best move they ever could make. I am a Man and I cried watching the saga of these males. Videos showing then die. I know damn well it's their nature, but I will not go back on my earlier conviction. That is that medical care should be utilized. When a Lion is old and still fighting other younger males and outnumbered, the fire extinguishers must come out. Trophy hunters ? If I had the means and the money, I would personally track down these trophy hunters and slaughter them as they heartless slaughtered such a majestic and regal specimen. I can’t stop to think what were the dynamics between the West street male lions and all of their sons. I’ve heard there was a debate that the West street male lions tolerated the a split Rock male lions. Then the video shows the Rollercoster male lions. When the Rollercosters came is when they must of slowly left.

Gone killed by his own coalition partner and he did nothing but watch so in my book he let down so many female lionesses from the prides they were in control of, I don't want a confrontation about him like I said he's one of my favorite Lions but all time greatest I think the lost that moniker the second he let Mr T back in the fold. His circumstances of joining to Sparta are the most incredible in according to the lions world laws! he was the master-blacksmith for Mapogos's blades!.. but the the very strange fights of Kinky Tail an Mr.T - 1 to 4....reallu slaughters...i don't believe in that...Mapogos were so bonded to each other, were always together - shoulder to shoulder.....it's seem there was a destructive hand of humans in situation that other brothers didnt lend a helping hand in time for KT ad MR.T and they bravely died in those slaughters...! and the loss of Rasta and Dreadlocks - very solid and huge lions also confirms the presence of destructive hand of humans and that circumstance also weakens this coalition///really tears go down but i dont cry!

I can’t stop to think what were the dynamics between the West street male lions and all of their sons. I’ve heard there was a debate that the West street male lions tolerated the a split Rock male lions. Then the video shows the Rollercoster male lions. When the Rollercosters came is when they must of slowly left.

@@sigball3971 all I have to say about him is where's all male offsprings,. Gone killed by his own coalition partner and he did nothing but watch so in my book he let down so many female lionesses from the prides they were in control of, I don't want a confrontation about him like I said he's one of my favorite Lions but all time greatest I think the lost that moniker the second he let Mr T back in the fold. Just my opinion thanks
