      Yeah, he's cool. I'd much rather be Notch's son though instead of being Makhulu's son just to die to Mr. T as a cub -.-
      Edit: This sounds a bit pessimistic. Makhulu is great, protecting his father and his stepbrothers. He's amazing, and my favorite. But one of his stepbros, Mr.T, needs to chill.

    I often hear people say, “the male lions are lazy.” “They just lay around all day, its the females mainly who support the pride.” Yes, the females hunt to feed the pride. Its a team work effort. A male lion has an incredibly difficult life. Usually the male’s get ousted from the pride to young. They have to fend for them themselves for years on their own. They have to survive before they are full grown with alot of predators around to take their prey when they do get something. These male lions are not lazy. They must fight, protect, walk miles to patrol their territory that they must take with force. Years of building up to survive on their own and the steps in took the gain this territory. They usually die defending it. If they are lucky to make it that far. Alot don’t.
    You can say all lions are somewhat lazy because they sleep so much. When their job is done. Male or female.
    People who say its only the females who do all the work, really don’t understand the complexity of lion society. Its a team effort.

      Lions are usually mistaken as lazy because they sleep for Long hours, actually they it’s a way the restore their energy during hot daytimes because they need to use their full energy when they hunt, it’s more necessary when they go for large preys like buffalo.

      Another thing people don't understand is a lion preserves their energy in that relentless heat, (that's why they sleep so much) so maybe they can hunt when the sun goes down. They have learned how to deal with their surroundings and elements.

    There is a reason why lions are called King of the jungle. They are true royals. The Kings! 🦁👑 Africa is blessed with these magnificent, extraordinary and brave powerful big cats but it truly makes me emotional how these majestic cats are disappearing quickly from our earth all because of humans. I just came to know about lions like 2 years back while I was watching BBC Dynasties and since then lions had captured my attention,whole heart, all because of their special extraordinary behaviours which we don’t see in other animal species. Since then I am totally obsessed with them, all of my free times I love admiring about them, lions lions and lions, always. I truly respect all the lions and they have all my heart, I love them more than anything. And it’s really heart breaking they are disappearing 😢😢

      ‘Othawa Male’ is the maternal grandson of the Magogos and currently rules his own pride. He has an awesome story. You can look him up on RUclips.
      No Male Lion has done what Othawa has done, this Mapogo grandson. When his father (the same coalition who I believe killed Kinky Tail Mapogo) and his father’s remaining 2 coalition brothers died unexpectedly, he did an unprecedented thing...he took OVER HIS OWN PRIDE FROM HIS FATHERS and stayed the king of his own aunts and sisters only long enough to allow his aunt’s newborn cubs (whom he had grown fond of) to grow up and not get killed by nomadic males....he kept his father’s kingdom going well all the way until his cousins were grown, even BABYSITTING the cubs for his aunts. After the cubs grew up, he left on his own, as any new Pride nomads to take over would now not have to begin their reign In a cub bloodbath...and because he wouldn’t mate with his sister and aunts and he wanted his own wives, having amazingly put off his own Pride for the sake of his birth family!
      With the experience of already being a Pride King at an age where most males his age are nomads (and he did a fantastic job protecting his birth family!), he then easily took over the neighboring Pride of 3 coalition males ON HIS OWN (The Birmingham males) and currently reigns as King...and finally earning some well-earned tale hahahaha! (Way to go Othawa!) he sired his first 3 cubs earlier this year.
      He definitely has the blood of the Mapogos running through him!

      @@ger_rard6887 if you are talking about kinky tail it's because they had been watching these lions for years when Mr T and kinky tail took over this coalition they kept calling resident males in with the load speaker to no avail Mr T and kinky tail would kill them then one day 5 males in a coalition came in and they killed one of the 5 but that night they got kinky tail and they tranquilized Mr T by the time he woke up it was to late he tried to help his twin brother but he knew he would die also so he left but I'm guessing that when the twins first came in they had to kill the younglings and that's what pissed the rangers off

    Just shows you how misinformed we were about male lions when in the seventies and eighties nature shows depicted male lions as lazy, do nothing cowards; How wrong were we. For no animal in all of nature has it as hard as an African male Lion. For no animal in nature displays the courage, bravery, power and perseverance as male lions in order for their survival and procreation. These two male lions, Makhulu and Notch possessed the qualities which made them above and beyond not only great examples of male lions but also a depiction of the necessary virtues which we as humans seek to be. Great job of showing this in your excerpt.

    Notch is probably the ONLY male lion to hunt, teach, nurture and defend against that cruel lifestyle EVER! He done all that without any females to help. That is extraordinary!! Then he leads his sons to rule Miles n miles of their land and to die like a king!! Big Mac wasa also extraordinary in the way in which he achieved all his. He had a pride to help which was normal, but the learning his craft, then teaching it to the mapogos to then DOMINATE and DECIMATE any opposing lion in sight and the takeover in which they achieved with somewhat ease to the level in which no one had ever seen or will see again Is amazing, he too died like a king(although not within a pride at the very end). These 2 guys are remarkable specimens of their kind and like no other. There is no winner in my eyes between them, one as strong and proud as the other. Love live the Kings 1️⃣💪

    • @Senerian
      @Senerian 3 года назад +3

      @@aristotels_aristotals They are just biased for one reason or another. Lions band together because they must. No tiger could survive in the plains or anywhere for that matter that lions also run wild. Whats the tiger population like in south Africa? its non existent I would wager. I also look at it like this. When Tigers attack they hide and ambush to gain advantage, like all other cats will do as well. When you see tigers moving to fight, they are low, flat , sneaky, hiding and quite. When Lions in the same type of conflict they walk right down the middle of the road calling and challenging. there is no hiding and ambushing. Lions are very open about their intentions. They will also run into a situation where they have zero chance of winning but still have the courage to do so for their brothers and pride. Tigers do not show this same courage or bravery. Just my view. I am ot trying to bash tigers either, its just the difference i see.

    Well done I find this video and the stories of these TWO LION KINGS should be a lesson for all of us just look at HUMANS behavior and not only today but our whole past. Take my FATHER he had NO PIDER in the FAMILY and the pride he made he left when I was very young and because of that my family SIBLINGS suffered dearly with all kinds of ABUSE and it even became apart of my LIFE and YET HUMANS behavior has gotten WORSE when will it all END when HUMANITLY ENDS ? I give you 6 STARS for your time research and effort in telling us TRUTH. RA 68 HELL FIRE
