It is said that he when he was younger, before he came into Imbali a couple of years ago, that he partnered the other older Mbiri male (the Nsemani male's brother), but there is no photographs of the two.
Darkmane is a very good father so im not sure i like this at all. Darkmane should have stayed with his brothers. You must stick together that is why the Mighty Majingilanes were incredibly successful love them or not they stuck together always
Dark mane Avoca is thinner with front leg injury (old injury, recovering good but never fully heal) and Dark mane was living in Djuma area peacefully last one year, never need to fight for living.
@@stephanie021 Not sure what you mean. I don't own Dark Mane, I watched Dark Mane most of time from Wild Earth Live, he sleep and eat most of time last one year without any challengers in Djuma. He got told off once by his brothers 6 months ago for waiting to rejoin Avoca brotherhood. You know so well about Dark mane, please share some story.
@@tonykuo1413 First of all, as a dominate male, as long as he keeps his borders secure lions basically sleep for 20 hours a day. Secondly when he’s held his territory for three years plenty of young males came through, not to mention during his nomadic years (you can do your own research). Now that his sub adults are grown up, he pushes south to scope out new options. Why would he fight the Imbali Male?
Who is the father of the cubs from the x2 talamati females? The Avoca male? Or this Mbali male? Lioness have been known to distract male lions to save their cubs. Especially the older and more keen lioness. So maybe they aren’t with him “for good”.
Should be this guy, otherwise the females wont be near him would they? I think they mated with both males so difficult to be sure whos is the biologic father
So this male lion is by himself? No brother’s! Well Darkmane has 2 brothers this is where we find out if the avocas are a coalition of 3! Dynamics are gonna be switching around here !just no fighting till death
So this means that the Mbali male might go further south into Djuma to chase out DM and DM would probabaly seek refugee with his brothers. I dont expect Mbale male to challange Mohawk and Blondie so DM would be safe in their territory. I just hope the cubs wont be killed be either males and the females make a smart choice by mating with both males.
Its interesting in this video although the females clearly accept him, they did not greet him nor do I think they wanted him to follow them to their cubs (even though the cubs are his).

No they cannot join a different pride and they would be killed. Recently a Avoca female was killed by a different pride of females. It was one of the mothers of the Avoca brothers.
@@burakcetav I guess what I don’t understand is why those two talamati females would leave their pride and keep to the new Mbali male? With cubs nearby? If he isn’t father the cubs are being put in absolute danger. Talamati girls need to smarten up. AND they’re putting their own lives in danger? Because Mbali females would kill them too.

I AM SO ADDICTIVE TO THIS CHANNEL
ESPECIALLY THE STORY
It is said that he when he was younger, before he came into Imbali a couple of years ago, that he partnered the other older Mbiri male (the Nsemani male's brother), but there is no photographs of the two.
There is photos of the 2, I've seen them, but i would need to search up to find it.
Darkmane is a very good father so im not sure i like this at all. Darkmane should have stayed with his brothers. You must stick together that is why the Mighty Majingilanes were incredibly successful love them or not they stuck together always
What a good looking specimen of male lion. How big is the Imbali male comparing the Dark-maned Avoca male
Dark mane Avoca is thinner with front leg injury (old injury, recovering good but never fully heal) and Dark mane was living in Djuma area peacefully last one year, never need to fight for living.
@@tonykuo1413 you clearly don’t know the history of the Avocas. He’s done his job for the Talamatis and deserves to rest if he wants.
@@stephanie021 thanks you for the story. Only time can tell.
I don’t think it’s a clear indication but we shall see
Who is the father of the cubs from the x2 talamati females?
The Avoca male? Or this Mbali male?
Lioness have been known to distract male lions to save their cubs.
Especially the older and more keen lioness.
So maybe they aren’t with him “for good”.
Should be this guy, otherwise the females wont be near him would they? I think they mated with both males so difficult to be sure whos is the biologic father
Dark Mane Avoca and this huge Imbali male should team up honestly! I doubt that will happen tho.
He is a beautiful male. Dark mane had a good run. I just hate when the old male gets pushed out. Good luck to you Dark Mane. Be proud of your reign.
Wow 4 rhino siting was good to see.
So this male lion is by himself? No brother’s! Well Darkmane has 2 brothers this is where we find out if the avocas are a coalition of 3! Dynamics are gonna be switching around here !just no fighting till death
He has 2 brothers but he stays away from Mohawk & Blondie. But when it comes to territory, lions do get together to fight any intruders
He must be worth the change these lionesses are making. He looks like a super star king! 😉🇺🇸
Mohawk could go back with d.m or blondie also to seek out this male
Big guy handling his business!!
Its interesting in this video although the females clearly accept him, they did not greet him nor do I think they wanted him to follow them to their cubs (even though the cubs are his).
Last time I followed a pride was Mr.T kinky tail. Mapogo pride. These lions are very healthy. The males are all huge. What happen? And Rino's!!! My goodness I've missed this. Thank you.
S8 imbali Male?? I Love Dark mane but just the other day I was saying on a site not sure which one it was but I said since Othawa ,Hairy Belly and scarface have died I'd like to start following the imbali Male but we Don't see him enough. Man Oman thing's change so fast in a Male Lions world
Alistair, when did you film the lion footage by chance?
Thank you 😊
How long do the lionesses stay away from their cubs in hiding?
So any word on the cause of death of the Talamati cubs fathered by the Imbali/S8 male? It was only one set gone correct?
We haven’t heard of cubs death but will follow up
The King has returned...
Love you guys
Dark Maine is 1 of my favourite I hope he will be ok and no trouble 4 him.
That was a good video. Big,strong, male! How big you think, 500? Thank you!
Forgive me I know what I'm about to say has nothing to do with any of these lion's in this video. However, does anyone have any information in regards to the surviving Koppies female and the cubs? They seem to have disappeared but I would love to know how they are doing or even if any of them are still alive? Thank you 🇬🇧
Mbiri Males took over and in the beginning the cubs were alive, near Orpen area were seen last time, i havent seen any updates of them myself
@@arturgjoni8881 Mbiri's never took over the Koppies pride... They were controlled by the Orpen males. After the Orpen males took control of the Mbiri pride, 1 of the Koppies lioness, and 2 cubs were killed by the Mbiri pride... Shortly after that the Koppies female, and the 5 remaining cubs disappeared.
@@styx5131 The Mbiri Males were seen with the Koppies females with small cubs, get your facts right, there has been sighting of that while ago
@@styx5131 That was after the death of Jr Nkuhuma
Maybe not a take over but those koppies females were seen around orpen area with the mbiri males
Your the best !!!! Thanks
What do you guestimate the King of the Super Pride to weigh and how long he is?
Around 400 pounds
@@arturgjoni8881 Really? I would have gone for at least 550lbs. But I'm not an expert. To be in charge, he would have to be bigger than the rest. Average weight is about 500 lbs. Wish I were there....
Love this 😊
It's how Nature works, it is what it is. Put your feelings back in 🤣
Why would I gloat about lions dying? You must be talking about someone else 😬. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
@Eva Taylor humans love drama, like you love to troll.
Ice cold haha I am from western Canada what was the temperature?
So the second lioness abandoned her newborn cubs? The guide said she’s carrying milk. Hopefully her Cubs still have other lionesses to suckle from.
@@paulibakker8880 I don’t know if she abandoned the her cubs or not. Maybe she just wandered off temporarily. The guide said that one of the lioness is heavily carrying milk, so I assumed she has small cubs recently. Hopefully the cubs are safe with the rest of the Talamati.
@@tinavo1623
The cubs are safe hidden. If you remember, they hide the cubs until they are about 8 to 10 weeks.
Are they his cubs or dm?
He a beautiful beast!!
He's a big boy, as tall as Red Road, but not as bulky.
I hope the Mbali male didn’t kill the talamati cubs…
Can anyone tell if the big ellie has a bell shaped hole in his left ear?
Uh oh careful dark mane. It's going to be interesting to see who's with them next time they're on the live drive.
Raw majustic power, gorgeous king.
What is this lion name?
I get the feeling that this guy is more about people liking and subscribing to his channel than his actual love for wildlife. Nice lions though
Imbali male is looking like matimbas, whether he is related to Matimbas?
His origins are unknown.
Yes he surely looks like them...some speculations are also there of him being matimba son...but thats totally speculation
GINGER 2.
TOO BAD IM ONLY WATCHING ON MY TABLET, IF I WAS WATCHING ON MY BIG SCREEN TV,THIS WOULD BE AWESOME, THE CAMERAS USED MAKING THESE VIDEOS ARE INCREDIBLE, THE CLARITY THE DEPTH IS OFF THE CHARTS!!
Thank you for your amazing video! Will there be a concern for the lack of gene diversity in this region because of his control of so many lionesses & the cubs. I’m not clear on how important diversity is in theses areas.
Another question-if the two talamati lionesses join the Mbali pride…would the rest of the lionesses just accept that?
No they cannot join a different pride and they would be killed. Recently a Avoca female was killed by a different pride of females. It was one of the mothers of the Avoca brothers.
@@burakcetav the one that was killed was the mother of one of avoca brothers?
@@burakcetav I guess what I don’t understand is why those two talamati females would leave their pride and keep to the new Mbali male? With cubs nearby? If he isn’t father the cubs are being put in absolute danger.
Talamati girls need to smarten up. AND they’re putting their own lives in danger? Because Mbali females would kill them too.
@@hello-laura It was one of the older Avoca females and I believe it was one of the mothers of the 3 brothers. She defended the pride while the rest ran off and she got killed but I forgot the name of the other pride. It happened a month ago and there is video footage of it.
@@burakcetav other pride was monwana pride
Wait...so the S8 Male is in charge of the Super Pride? 😳
Where are thier cubs?
