Thank Tristan you for this spectacular update🙏🏻 The Mbiri males are such big tanks (reminding me of the huge Rongai males in Naboisho). As much as I understand lion dynamics, and I am aware this take-overs are part of it, I don’t want the two to get into a fight with the Tintswalo males. Nothing bad about retrieving if it means saving their lives. Of course, I don’t the Mbiri females unprotected, but really hoping for no blood shed. Mandevu, Lambile and Ncila managing to scare them away without a fight would be my wish for the moment. But it unbelievably impressive to witness such moments from so far through these great virtual safaris! We’re gonna be back in just a bit more than a month… I can see, there’s a lot going on!

Rite now Ncile is just about healthy and at the moment it would be an all out war and mandevu will not survive this battle alone, he just won’t, these mbiri males are battle hardened bullies, however ncile was once a dominant male so he knows wat it takes to survive so he would stand tall with mandevu and this would be a good fight, lambile would outright lose his life if ncile doesn’t help because he’s in no shape to engage in war rite now so he would be better off sticking with the lioness & pride while mandevu & ncile fight this war 2v2
@@DHawk06 If one, some or even all of them have some healthy issues, injuries or what else, to win they'd have to fight 3v2. Healthy issues or not an extra lion is an extra lion.
2v2 they stand no chance, Mbiris are just way too formidable, quite possibly the strongest duo in the greater KNP right now.

That's it, we're back in the sensational!!! Why could this be the end of Tintswalo males? Nothing is decided yet and it turns out Zigzag💞 and Shaka💞 will leave with the Birmingham breakaway lionesses...it's all about trust, I remember the Nharhu males chasing the Mbiri males and Shaka who had taken a beating from them , they had this confidence in them and I really hope that the Tintswalo males💞(and that the three are together) also have it to push back the Mbiri males (not want to see a fight between these two coalitions which are related), the Mbiri pride💞 has little ones and there also has Jr Nkuhuma's two sub adults to protect, so I hope nothing bad happens.

Zigzag and Shaka are not a coalition to mess with, Mbiris are the real deal and Tintswalo boys don’t look like they are ready to challenge them. I hope the Tintswalo boys and the Mbiri pride are far away from these guys because Mbiri males are not the type of male Lions you want to mess with. They have too much experience in combat over Mandevu, Lambile and Ncila. Stay safe Tintswalos. Can’t wait for the next update.

@Bruce Wayne The Mbiri's are combat-worn, experienced and confident...and really none of the Tintswalo's are in peak condition at the moment. Lambile is the most vulnerable, I hope these guys stay together. I hope the Orpen subadults and the younger cubs are ok.
They r 9yrs old and still have plenty left in the tank, those who know and follow them should already be aware of their capabilities, plz stop believing and listening to nonsense and folks do ur own research, if u don’t have any contacts who can confirm info then it’s plenty of info out there to learn on ur own, but just know that these mbiri males are battle hardened and knows this vast territory very well
@@sillygirl3284 well lately ncile has gain just about all of his weight back, he’s about 475Ibs at the moment which is great for him to do since that near death experience from that snare incident, and lambile has been sick for some time now, their father & uncle or mom had a very genetic disease that been passed on thru genetics which killed two of the tumbela males and two female lioness of their family, so at the moment lambile is losing the battle with this disease & will not be of any services to his pride to fight the mbiri males and lastly mandevu is one of the biggest dark mane males in all of sabi sands at the moment, he’s in excellent condition, however, it’s just so happen that the only larger males that may be bigger then him in sabi sands just happens to be zigzag of the mbiri males who is laying down the challenge to them in which mandevu will have his hands full with just zigzag, he will not have room nor time to aid any of his brothers during this battle, sadly in my opinion this huge take over or challenge leans on the shoulders of ncile, believe it or not, they need him badly for this fight, everyone will have to fight in this battle or it will be lives lost in this war, let’s hope for the best!!
@@DHawk06 I understand what Ncile can offer the coalition if you look back at all my comments since the snare incident; I have followed these males since there was four of them. Yes, Lambile has bad genes that makes him susceptible to any injury or infection including rampant TB; Mandevu is smaller than Ncile, but Ncile still has decreased jaw/bite mobility because of his scar from the snare but just his presence alone in roaring and scent-marking could be benefit the coalition greatly.
i hope tintswalo succeed in protecting their pride and their land because there are cubs who are over a year old and it would be a great loss if they died

They must have fought loads of battles from the looks of them. And they could use some dental work! It’s a tough life keeping up with male lion duties.
Yes they did, few times even lucky to survive, especially Shaka. Very experienced males in these kind of situations.
They probably had more territorial battles than any other lions.
@BruceWayne-sz3th Literally none of these males had more territorial battles in even numbers or while outnumbered than them.
The only lion who matches them in this regard is Mr.T, but Mbiri's fights, especially Shaka's, were much more brutal than Mr.T's fights. Only fight Mr.T had that was as brutal as those of Shaka was the one he died against the 4 Selatis. Also Mr.T is dead and Mbiris are 9yo so chances are they'll surpass Mr.T's numbers ( IIRC Shaka and him are evenly matched in the number of territorial fights, or Mr.T has one more ).
Also, Notches, seriously? They have literally 0 fights in even numbers or while outnumbered that is documented.
Makhulu has only one fight 1v1, it was against Gwarri Bush Male Nhlanguleni.
I know you value bravery in a lion, but you're probably not very familiar with Mbiris, if you do a research on them you'll see they are the GOAT in terms of lion warriors, they have everything Mapogos had, but are much bigger.

@@leonaswwife Out of my head the smaller and more dominant Mbiri male has some 8 serious territorial fights while he was either outnumbered or fighting with even numbers.
If you look at him after his fights he was a complete mess with huge holes on his face, he almost lost his eye some 3 times. He was once caught by 3 Nharhu males, got wrecked and fully recovered.
Only Mr.T of the Mapogos had a similar amount of territorial fights without outnumbering the opponents, but his fights were never as brutal as those of the Mbiris, with the exception of the fight where he got killed by the 4 Selatis.
With the exception of his last fight, Mr.T never got a fourth of the injuries Shaka got in just one of his many fights.
Also in terms of chasing rivals, Mbiris have defeated multiple coalitions this way, in fact when they weren't even 4yo, they chased 2 prime dominant Mapoza males out of their own territory which is completely out of these world, you'll literally never see anywhere else 3yo males chasing dominant rivals at even numbers.

You're joking right? You can add all the Tintswalo males and RRM together and they wouldn't have half the clashes, fights and victories the Mbiri have.
There're no greater warriors in the lion world than the 2 Mbiri males, and they did chase the Tintswalo males despite having no real interest in taking over, they are already dominant over the 5 Birmingham Breakaway females, the Skorro pride, and controlled 2 other prides in the past. From the Mayambula pride they have 3 daughters that have cubs and 6 sons that are already dominant males. They have many subadults in the Skorro pride and new cubs from the Birmingham Breakaway pride, they are as well accomplished as anyone could ever expect from 2 males, and still going strong at 9yo, ready to raise many more cubs and increase their legacy.
They don't need any more territories or prides, nor they need to prove anything to anyone.

I know you shouldn’t take sides in nature, but I can’t help but root for the Tintswalo males in the impending conflict.
Who knows what might have transpired if Ncile was with them. Would they still have retreated? As much as we hate seeing lions injured, you also appreciate the smaller scraps are necessary for both confidence and skill development to both defend one's pride and territory as well as acquire new ones.

What an overwhelming coalition the Mbiris are! Zig-Zag Scar and Shaka mean trouble wherever they are... Scar is called as larger Mbiri, probably because of his weight and bulkest body, but Shaka is as tall and mean as his brother. Both are insanely amazing anyway. I don't think another coalition can beat head on them in a 2x2 fight...
Yeah nobody's beating Mbiris in a fair fight. At best I can think of Leeubron males but their huge size aside we know nothing about their capabilities, and other powerful duos like PCM, S.Avocas and Gijima males are too far away in Sabi Sands or southern Kruger, they would be a good match in a clash, seeing who chases who, but if it came to an actual fight, Mbiris would be the clear favorites.
You'd need a bigger coalition of 3 to take them out.

@@MrLoesoe I mean in a fight anything can happen and the RRM is a tough bastard, no doubt, he has survived a lot, but Mbiris are in another level, they are bigger, much more experienced and more aggressive.
If you look at their feats you'll see they're just busted, just to give an example they chased 2 prime dominant Mapoza males in their own territory as nomads at the age of 3. Even if you look at Mapogos you'd struggle to find them fighting more territorial battles than Mbiris did.
The smaller one, Shaka, is almost a psycho regarding fights, in many many instances he has showed up with insane battle wounds, entire holes on his face, but has fully recovered every single time.
I'd easily bet my money on any of the Mbiris against RRM 1v1, I'd likely bet on them against any other lion right now.

I already had the feeling this "smaller" male Shaka was at least as aggressive as the bigger male, if not more, because he was walking in front all the time and pushing. They look so battle hardened. I agree RRM would probably lose. RRM seems more like a smart tacticle male than a hyper strong one like these guys
@@MrLoesoe The smaller one is actually the dominant of the 2, which surprised the ranger reporting seeing him dominate his brother for mating rights, saying that generally a bigger male with full dark mane will be more dominant, but not with the Mbiris.

What happened to Scar's mouth? It seems to hang like it may be from an injury. I feel so sad for the Tintswalo males, but understand that this is the process of nature.
His bottom lip that seems to have lost muscle. Perhaps from a fight with a rival male.
In february 2022 he was seen badly beaten after a fight with rival males. One of his injuries was that mouth injury, though many speculate that it was actually from a zebra kick or something and he just coincidentally got injured in a fight around the same time.
Mbiri males are the real deal. It’s a shame the Tintswalo males are fractured and weakened at the moment, but they really don’t want to be caught by these big boys.
The thing is these males Scar and Shaka..think there only 2 tintswalo males?? They will get root of waken when Ncila show up..((Ncila a beast))..nicla Mandevu have experience they know how fight. Lambile I'm not sure about him yet we have to wait and see.

We all know Mbiri males were born to fight . But the coalition who stood their ground against them were the Ross Males. The Ross males maybe smaller in size but they are aggressive as hell

@@user-oc5ke5qr8n While what you said is true ( they got chased by 2/3 Nharhu and nobody is invincible ) Scar had a limp when that happened and they had chased the 3 Nharhu in previous occasions, plus Shaka was caught by the 3 of them, took an insane beating and fully recovered.
Though it's not like I'm taking all the merits from the Nharhu, they are the only coalition to have ever defeated Mbiris with even numbers and even the weakest member, the surviving one with a bad limp was able to defeat a prime rival in a fight and chase him off, they were no joke.
The Mbiris were young when they were defeated. Madevu needs to Run to fight another Day.

Actually there's a lot of confusion about the mbiri males!!! Shake is bigger than zig zag. The thing is that he doesn't have such a big mane as his brother. He is also taller and longer.. Zig Zag is smaller in frame but has a bigger mane!

Nonsense, ZZ is bigger, literally everybody knows this and lodges and rangers and photographers have always referred to him as "the bigger Mbiri".
They are the same size in length and height, but ZZ have a more massive body.

jaw itself is ok but part of the lower lip was ripped way from where it attaches to front of bottom jaw

Can anyone tell me, does the Mbiri male known as Scar have a detached lip? Initially I thought he didn't have bottom teeth but later saw them however his lip still droops down. If Scar has
a lip problem or injury could that affect his ability to make critical bites during an upcoming battle? Please write back if you know anything.
We don't think the lip detachment has a major effect on his ability to fight or eat. However it definitely helps him to have a coalition partner for support.
He does have that, yes.
Now, does it affect his biting force? I have wondered the same, but It doesn't seem to be the case, he never lost any condition despite having this injury for more than a year, meaning he has no issues eating, nor does it have affected his dominance.
The jaw is likely intact.

Wishing Tintswalo Boys and Pride a happy and safe ending. Hoping that the Mbiri Boys will go and Harass some more boys. We have had enough Lion Drama and losses. I think that having Ncila with Mandevu will change the game. This is so nerve wracking. I love all lion prides and hope for a good outcome come morning.
