Mama needs to eat, she's so thin. You can tell she's been in the hold or den for a long while with them. She a good mom, but if she doesn't eat or drink soon her milk might dry up soon. This is very Beautiful!!🕊️🥰💝💝🙏🏾
I hope mum teams up with some of her pride mates and forms a crèche. Lionesses synchronize their estrus cycles and deliver their cubs around the same time. After several weeks of isolating the cubs to bond with them, lionesses usually come together to raise the cubs together before introducing them to the rest of the pride.
So these were the 3 cubs that were killed by the Marsh pride sub adult males. So sad. 2 cubs r confirmed dead, one cub is still missing, but presumed dead.
The fight was originally thought to be the Marsh Pride, but ended up being the Sand River pride (lioness) who killed the cubs. -unless that's changed again? I found a fb page from last year which said the Maasai in that area consider the Sand River pride to be the most aggressive /ruthless in the area. : ( Did the mom survive the fight? She was trying so hard to get over to them, & they blocked her off. By the sounds, I really think the cubs were killed immediately..💧

Just think these beautiful animals came from small little mouse or possum sized mammals of the Dinosaur age. Mammals are so cool. "Hey, there T-Rex. Want a glass of milk? Oh, if forgot you can't drink milk. It's so nice and cold!" T-Rex says, "But I'll just eat you." Don't taunt a T-Rex.
