There's a saying that says actions speak louder than words and that is true generally for the most part. If the guy tells you he likes you and his actions don't show it then you shouldn't trust him. Right? Then there was a situation where a guy expresses his love towards you but doesn't say it with their words. And this kind of guy might never verbally say that he likes you but you should treat them as if they like you.
So what you will see is that he may not say he loves you or he might get uncomfortable at the thought of intimacy but those types of men are yearning to be loved.
These are the things guys do when they like you. The first one is he's considerate of you. Second, he gives you gifts. Third, he is consistent with you. If these guys don't say that he likes you but he's consistent I don't care what he doesn't tell what matters is he is consistent.
The next one is when you pull away, he might actually tell you he likes you. When he senses you're pulling away his ego might die and might actually tell you that he likes you.
Another thing is that he remembers special things, like your birthday. People who are not verbally expressive are most of the time overcompensated by showing it with their actions.
The reason why these types of guys are so closed off is that they're sensitive inside and they don't know how to deal with their emotions and they need someone who can tolerate their uncertainty.
What you must remember is that the most important thing is consistency. If ever he does all this but he's inconsistent, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is consistency.

It's better to just take it as a sign he doesn't like you. Thinking like this is the reason why some women are in situationships. He says" I don't like you like that" but because he is still doing nice things, you think he does like you while he was really telling the truth. So this is dangerous.
This, I’m in a tough situation with a guy that’s been so sweet and loving, consistent and for some reason exclusive as far as I know towards me, yet stands by the fact we are only friends and will only ever be friends :( it sucks because it’s the best friendship but hurts too much to just be friends at the end of the day and feel led on if he doesn’t even feel the same and knows it.

Then these men need to grow up and heal. If you can’t express how you feel for someone you claim to love, or like than they are the problem. If his actions contradict his words, I believe the actions. If a grown ass man has these issues he shouldn’t be dating until he’s healed enough. If a man can say he wants his junk in your trunk, no problem, but he cant express how he feels in other ways and if he doesn’t and gives excuses he needs help. I’m glad you mentioned that this does not work for everyone. I’m someone who needs to hear how you feel. I’ve been dating someone who admitted that he’s always had a hard time expressing his feelings and I could already tell before he told me. His actions for the past few months have shown me how he feels and several people have told me they see how much he loves me. Which I have no doubt about. He’s consistent and he takes such good care of me. But as someone whose love language is words of affirmation, it’s nice to also hear it sometimes. I don’t even mind it when he texts things that may be difficult or awkward to verbally say. This was a good video. I’m glad you talked about this because it’s a real thing. There are also women who struggle with this.

Just FYI when you were talking about how talking about loving someone is like reading a ransom note - I just immediately thought of love languages. Obviously your love language is gifts or something else. That woman’s love language is words.
I think we should learn all the love languages. And learn to do them authentically.
Honestly I used to hate and suck at gifts (giving and receiving). I felt it was like being forced to pretend to like stuff or being forced to feel indebted. Now I see gifts differently because the gift people feel very similarly to words (compliments, encouragement, soft words, etc.).
We just need to learn to express the love language of our partners, instead of expecting them to just “get it”.
That said, I do agree with your video in general and I really appreciate your channel :)

I have the same love language. Gifts. I also show love to a man I like by doing domestic things at his place like mopping, organizing, cleaning the walls. I'm talking about things most men don't do often that will make a difference right away.
