What I've learned, as a woman, is that having a life and de-centering men will make you do everything he is saying, naturally, without even realizing that you're doing. I am a very busy woman and I also really enjoy my alone time. So I naturally create tension in my relationships with men because they can sense my ability to distance myself from them. Most of the men I try to date seem to be very emotional over me and very confused about my feelings for them. Mostly because my responsiveness is unpredictable, I am very flirty and emotionally vulnerable one day and MIA the next. But its not a game for me, its just that dating is very low on my list of priorities so its what I am doing naturally. It will take a man to REALLY stand out for me to do more or invest more. But even then, I still do less.

I think that all men want is to be a hero and help someone, if they can. So when your heart is tugged thru sympathy for a woman, that’s that. I know a man who actually married his neighbor because she literally showed up on his doorstep in a rainstorm wrapped in a blanket with her two toddlers huddled against her, because her boyfriend had thrown the 3 of them out of his house. Okay hold on because sometimes the unpredictability piece is not on purpose. I just had someone tell me “you can’t talk to me for hours one day and barely the next”…he’s like you gotta taper me down. But the reality is I’m not an everyday talker and I think I was drained but also busy. And Alexxxxx omg you are always spot on. I can always tell someone is insecure with our relationship when they start comparing or asking certain questions but then I know they actually care about the relationship…they are indicators

It’s important to not forget that consistency is not just in “connecting regularly (physically or on the phone)”etc;.,.. “consistency” is also: consistency in energy levels, in vulnerability, in generosity, in respect, in admiration, in support etc
