Rejection hurts, and it's painful and triggering bringing up all those feelings of abondonment and it's really hard to not speak negatively to myself, and blame myself. I work really really hard to understand my emotions and to stay strong and walk away from the negativity and toxicity. I learnt to be the mature woman who can love and nature the little 7 year old inside who has sobattaged my emotions my whole life.

nah you're wrong. They're not robotic or cold, detached people simply value themselves more than whatever thing they had going on with you. In the beeeest of cases, they will date someone else while still loving you and miss you for a while but even so they won't come back and move on if you f u q It up.

I completely understand what you're saying, but being ruled by our emotions is actually dysfunctional. Healthy people aren't ruled by their emotions. I'm not saying that healthy people shouldn't have emotions or empathy, but that they aren't ruled by them.

You’re SUPPOSED to leave relationships that jeopardize your health & well being because you’re maintaining your self respect & love. What I AM STATING is the fact that it’s DIFFICULT to emotionally let go when you actually love someone for real & to EMOTIONALLY “detach” yourself so easily from a person TO ME, it means the love was never real or nonexistent. Exactly what I did to my X I naturally have a side of me that doesn’t care about ppl unfortunately it’s very hard for me to love someone. So when I do love someone I am in struggle with myself to stay emotionally attached to them but even if I seem very close the person I am not attached like they may think I am. Now add that person cheating than u have me separating it is painful because my feeling are real but I will slowly not care the entire matter bc I never really was attached
