    I too would be really interested in playing it in the crosses in a hybrid with regular Hyper G in the mains. Love regular Hyper G, but the launch angle is sometimes a bit unpredictable, so having the round cross should help tame it, in addition to allow easy snap back.

    Love your reviews and the hyper g too is my main string.... Is it too slippy? is mixing both the best? Or just stick with what you know lol

    Great review. I'm a Hyper-G user and love it for the reasons in the video - long tension maintenance (over 20 hours), very spin friendly, arm friendly and really cheap. I am a spin player though so probably best to stick with regular Hyper-G.

    I read that max recommended tension is up to 50 lbs. so, is there any different between 50 lbs with 55 lbs?

      Yeah I noticed this as well for some of the Solinco racquets as well. I think it is more of a guideline, as they are known for their polys. Since most polys are stiff, they are trying to inform or educate the consumers to string them lower to help prevent arm injuries. So you can string them higher, but it is recommended to start lower with the tension. Troy, TW

    Hyper G has never been a spin monster. Making it smooth and putting it in a full bed doesn’t seem like a great idea. I think the marketing for this definitely should be targeted at hybrid setups, including with shaped poly’s in the mains.

    Feel like regular hyper g mains and this in the crosses could be a great combo

    For juniors, at what point would you recommend to transition from multi to poly? Thanks

      Depends on the level/ physical development of the player

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  10 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed, it definitely depends on the level and physicality of the junior. Some often do it out of necessity, frequently breaking strings from lots of racquet speed, spin, and consistently hitting cleanly in the sweet-spot. I will mention that there can be a progression to it, and to try not to jump right into poly and if the player does there should be a drop in tension. If the player starts to break the strings, like a full bed of multifilaments or synthetic gut, then maybe the next progression should be a hybrid, like a poly in the mains and multifilament in the crosses (or you can go opposite with the multi or syn gut in the mains and poly in the crosses) and drop the tension slightly from a full bed of multi or syn gut. From there, if that is not durable enough, then try a softer poly in a full bed, but try and drop the tension slightly from the hybrid setup. Usually if you follow this type of transition into a poly and make sure not to string too tightly, then it should be smoother for the player, and on their young arms. Troy, TW

      @@tenniswarehouse thanks Troy. And is it correct to say the strings on the mains will dictate the feel while the strings on the cross will dictate the performance? Or it’s not entirely accurate? What’ll be the difference if poly on the mains vs on the cross in a hybrid setup? Thanks 🙏

    What is your second go to string?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  7 месяцев назад +1

      For me Hyper-G and the Round are both top choices, although I prefer the original. When it comes to second place, there are quite a few that I like play with, from the other Solinco strings like Tour Bite or Confidential, also the Head Lynx Tour champagne color is a nice control oriented string, and I enjoy Volkl Cyclone as well. ALU Power has a really nice, crisp feel to it and enjoy playing that string a lot but it is a bit more expensive. A couple other honarable mentions are Signum Pro Poly Plasma, Kirschbaum, and MSV Focus Hex +38 is a good string that doesn't get much recognition. Sorry, but there are too many good poly strings on the market for me not give a list of them haha. Troy, TW

    What grip is on the whiteout xtd?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  7 месяцев назад

      It is a Solinco overgrip that we were testing out. Somewhat similar to the Hyper-Grip, and had a green finishing tape. Troy, TW
