Wasabi pro hybrid is great. Made the switch from confidential in my pure aero. Not the best feel and that’s its biggest weakness, but it’s very comfortable and much easier on the arm. Tons of spin, though that’s a bit overhyped imo (comparable spin to confidential)
My favorite all time poly is Alu Power but it goes dead way too fast. Grapplesnake Tour M8 gives me like 90% of its playability but lasts 2-3x longer. You guys should definitely give it a try for your next playtest! Not a huge fan of Zero's muted feel but appreciate its longevity/snapback so I think it's the best cross string for a poly main with better feel. After testing many cross strings for Gut/multi, Ghostwire and Irukandji are probably my favorite. I think you guys would love it too if you gave them a shot!
Tried irukandji with babolat xalt (multi)..difficult for my stringer..many spots where irukandji didn't "sit" with flat surface against the multi mains...also ,restring zero 1.28 crosses with 1.30 xalt mains and xalt mains already notched during stringing!Hope zero 1.23 cross does better with poly mains
@@georgioslachanas5379 I'm good friends with my stringer and he told me the same about Irukandji. He had to put some small indents in the string to make it work but the string does play amazing especially in a gut hybrid. I slightly prefer Ghostwire over Irukandji for its softer feel but in terms of durability, Irukandji can make the guts/multis last much longer due to its flat/oval shape.
@@andyv6299 Well the champagne is the original I believe, and the one Tennisnerd liked the most. The orange one is a bit softer. Orange looks so good though, fits well in so many rackets. Not seen much info about the grey but reviewers who tested the black one said it's sadly nowhere near as good as the champagne/orange and didn't even feel like Head Lynx Tour.
4G is still my #1 since I can find it in all the stores around me. Can't find Toroline, never mind ReString. And strings is not a product I'm willing to chase or wait for delivery for weeks paying extra for delivery.
Ben should try the HEAD hybrid of HEAD Lynx Tour (mains) and HEAD Lynx Touch (cross) in his favourite racquet. HEAD strings in a HEAD racquet do seem to work better :)
I like your string breakdown. I may give restring zero a trial…. Currently my favorite hybrid is 16g tecnifibre 4S crossed with 18g razer code soft. 4s is a stiff string so I used 4 pounds less tension on both mains and crosses. It holds tension better than lux 4g and has as much spin as wasabi. The feel though is much nicer. If you run out of strings to try give this a go. Used in a speed MP.
I've been playing Yonex Poly Tour Pro for years and love the overall performance of power, spin, and comfort... tho tension loss is too quick. But I recently tried another string from Japan in my Yonex Percept 100 that has replaced PTP for me... Gosen G-Tour3, and also the Spin3. They play remarkably like PTP in all aspects but at about half the price. Friends' racquets I put it in have felt the same about it. A real sleeper quality-value string. If someone told me it was made in the same factory to the same specs I wouldn't doubt it. Also played in a demo EZONE 98 with equal satisfaction. btw... I have the Restring Zero in my VCORE PRO 100 and I prefer the current set up better.
How is the ball bite with the Gosen Spin3? I am interested in trying different shaped polys that grab the ball and are crisper than Wasabi. I use Volkl VSquare which for the most part gives me what I want. Also do you do full bed or hybrid?
@w1nd0w3 how much spin one gets is way more relative to technique so it's hard for me to properly relate our spin potentials with any certainty. I put the Spin3 in an EZONE 98 and for me it had plenty of spin and power comparable to Head Lynx Tour for example. As I mentioned, it plays so similar to yonex PTP and that includes the spin version, tho this is not quite a stiff. Also, I used Volkl V-torque for a while and that produced good spin for me as a comparison. If you want a square string that has excellent spin but also great tension maintenance, check out Ytex Quadro!
Nice video! What’s the difference between 4g and 4g soft? I’m using Ezone100 and polytour pro strung at 48lb full bed. I’m considering switching to lux4g since I feel like I’m not getting all the power out of ptp
Thanks for another great video guys. I might have missed it, but what tension did you guys test the Toro Toro at? And in a blade 93sq inch what tension do you think would work? Cheers in advance chaps.
I string wasabi pro hybrid 21/22 kg in my 93icn head prestige mid. Very good filing, spin and comfort. I think toro toro would be +- comfortable and this tension.
I am new to the Toroline world. I use Caviar for my Pure Strike VS and K Pro for my Pure Strike 16x20. The Caviar was kind of dead after a couple hours of hard hitting. How do you guys ranking: Toro Toro full bed K Pro hybrid K Pop hybrid (the color is really catchy in Pure Strike VS imo) Wasabi Pro hybrid ?
Restring Zero is my favourite as well. All I need to do is shut down my head and just rip the ball. Thanks to the spin it will most likely land inside the lines. With as much pace as I could probably desire.
Wonderful review! 👏🏿 🙌🏿 Wolfy managed to acquire a reel of Zero 17, and is testing it out against personal favourite, Hexa Infinite 17 from Genesis. Personal weapon is one of the stiffest frames on market, Dunlop’s FX500 (2020), with an RA rating of 71. Used as mains paired with ultra thin poly Hexonic 1.09, and tensioned at 42 lbs(m)/44 lbs (c), the two are comparable in spin and control, but the Hexa Infinite provides a little more power, while the Zero is a bit more durable. After two months and two string jobs with each combination, the Zero is a great string, but the Hexa Infinite is still Wolfy’s favourite. Thinking the some of the bigger hitting high schoolers would love Zero.
would love to see a test of reString ZERO in hybrid combination with reString SYNC... also with different tensions? 23/24, 25/26... compared to a full bed 24 or 25? souldn't this be the perfect combination? As you mentioned in your review of ZERO, a tension above 26 does probably not make sense... any followup on this one also regarding the durability? Looking forward to see your next review!

Interesting - I would say that most players would enjoy PTP over Lynx Tour. Have you tried 4G Soft. It’s soft in the name, but not really soft in comparison to those strings! In Toroline, maybe Wasabi would be a good option for you to try. God I love that Extreme Auxetic… enjoy your search for tennis perfection!
I would have had Zero at number three with Super Toro at number 2 and Toro Toro at 1. i enjoy all three but the toro toro just feels the best with the best predictability
