These videos are helping me a whole lot, I am a South African woman in Tech industry who will be moving to Dublin soon and I am both anxious and excited and while i do my research, its comforting to find fellow South African who were once at the stage I am, preparing and researching so thank you.
I am LOVING this series. We are a South African family of five looking to move to Ireland later this year. We’re on the SA2eire group already, but your documentary is super helpful. Thanks for it. We can’t wait to see you in your new place
Thank you for sharing ur informative research & experience in moving to Ireland! It would be really interesting to know what the cost of rent and living - ie utilities - water, lights and heating is, if you would share that information as well?
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. We are also going to be moving from Johannesburg to Dublin very soon, your videos are very insightful. Keep them coming please! Wishing you all the best in your new apartment, can't wait to see it🌸
It is honestly such a pleasure! So happy to hear these videos are insightful and will definitely keep them coming 🥰 Goodluck setting yourself up for the move 💛
@@BiancaKade Just curious ..what was your motivation in moving? My aunt and uncle used to live in Cape Town 6 months of the year and loved living there.
Good morning. We are in the beginning of the process of moving to Ireland. I am so excited & happy with you everytime something new unfolds. Keep these coming. I love it 😁 & congrats guys. You are doing so good. When we land that side one day I will phone you for a little welcome braai 😃
Hi Bianca & Kade. Greetings from South Africa. Me and my wife have started the process to emigrate to Ireland. Is there a way that we can get in contact with one another so I can ask you some questions if possible? Thank you making this channel and already answering some of my questions. Regards
Usually, when there's too many applicants, they throw a few knives into the room and let them thin themselves out... 🤣 But yeah it's crazy how hard it is. Best of luck to all of you.
Hi ! Thanks for the video ! The apartment block at 7:30 .. Why did you guys didnt want to rent that one? / was it too expensive or were there other problems like the area isnt safe or maybe it was noisy ? :) Thanks ! xx
Only a pleasure! Loved the area and the rent was within our budget but I fell in love with our current apartment so we decided on that place instead. When we were looking as well - those apartments were only going to be ready in 2-3 weeks from when we wanted to move in which also contributed to our decision. They are ready for occupation now though.
The rental market in Ireland is so fluid and ever changing that those apartment are likely not available anymore or may be at a slightly different price point. With that being said the prices of the apartments are irrelevant. The point of the video is showing you how we secured our apartment after just arriving from a new country given the high demand. Also remember Pricing and budgets for apartments are so personal to a person’s circumstances and if you are actively looking for an apartment now you have your own budget and needs. Regardless of the above, in the beginning of the video I do show the perimeters of our search and you can see our budget as an indicator of the price points at that point in time.

Love the video, Bianca! What’s the average rental period for the apartments? 6 months, or one year…? Thanks!
Nice video! 👍🏻🙂
Could you please mention the names of the areas/neighborhoods wherein you virtually & physically checked out the apartments.
Thank you
Hi there - of course. The areas we looked at apartments: Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire and Cabinteely. Hope this helps.
Awsome video, could you do career videos? The transition from audit in South Africa and Dublin?
I like this idea. Thank you 👏🏻

Is that furnished or unfurnished? Thanks for this series. So helpful 😊
Please give me the name of apartment How can I access the website?
What a beautiful apartament. Where is it from? Cause I’ll be moving soon to Dublin and I’m searching good places!!
Impossible to find even a 1 bedroom apartment in a decent area, for less than 1.500
We stay in Dublin 18 🤗 goodluck with the search.
very informative video!
wondering, do you know if landlords these days prefer to get payments in cash or are bank transfers fine?
We paid by bank transfer more than a year ago with no issues. I would be skeptical if a landlord asked for cash only 🙈

Hahaha sounds like a fair way to settle it 😅
Thanks you.

It is called Cheevers court in Dun Laoighaire.
