Their 2nd one stands the test of time I'd say. Hints and allegations I love too, just as much as the others but it's production definitely makes it a bit more dated so I could see some not being able to get into it, but I think all of their first 4 are incredible. It's a phenomenal progression.
@@TheOlesarge straight up dude. Though tbh, after he left they did go back to rock and he went and did some horrible singer songwriter stuff so it's a little strange. Blender was not my cup of tea personally and all of that sh;t is just frustrating because I can't imagine how much better youth would've been had Ross still been with the band, but for all we know they would've went into an even worse direction - it's hard to say. But regardless, all the first 4 albums are phenomenal and he was so good in the band. It's a shame what happened and I feel so bad for Ed, he seems like he's doing fine but I can't imagine how horrible that situation was for him.
@@dudeman5303 He was talented with the guitar for sure and added a personal style, but if you've seen his work outside the band, you'll admit it wasn't to the same level. Ed is a musical genius. He created the riffs that Ross performed. So I would have the theory that they were complimentary. They both lost something. As for the drama, I don't blame Ed for holding the grudge one bit.
Great rendition. Although Ross's guitar work is impeccable and unique as usual, it's too loud in the mix here. Rare sighting of Dean playing a Silvertone . You'd never know that Ed was the leader if you didn't know the band well and just saw this performance.
What guitar is Ed playing? (I know Dean is playing a Silvertone as opposed to his trusty LP, and I think Ross is playing a PRS, but not recognizing what Ed's playing). Also, I always thought that Will should be used in more harmonies, as he is here, may have added an extra layer to an already great sounding band.
You mean raw? Cuz there's a lot of "studio magic" on the album version, this one sounds real and unpolished and in my opinion is impressive AF because it shows they're a real band that can pull it off despite not having all the studio backtracks and other various effects/polishing.
I remember watching Twilight in theaters (I think I was 15) and jumped up and screamed when this song came on. I am a long-time fan of CS so that was refreshing. Most music in movies at the time were mainstream and I was always pissed everytime Power by Kanye (I think) was used in movies.
Something about this performance is so hypnotizing. I can't stop watching.
Ross was so unique in his use of the wah. Loved that frenetic wah sound.

“ This album and the one before it (‘Discipline Breakdown’) were their most creative, and stand the test of time.”

Blender is also amazing imo. Some of my favorite songs on that record
Ross Childress..such a talent!
I wish someday they will reunite..
@@psegreenwolf4380 Ross and Ed haven't spoken in years due to Ross having an affair with Ed's wife at the time.
Lady Boomer where did you get this info from!
@@thebigbull9995 it’s common knowledge
Ross made this band. Saw them 2 years ago with Jesse Triplett, and although he’s a phenomenal guitarist, he’s not Ross.
Best!! Guitar🔥🔥🔥
My God, what a gem.... thanks man.... even if i still love CS, its not the same without Ross.
Yeah, he should have kept away from Ed's wife and we all would have been much better for it.

Really cool!!
Ross Childress is a god.

Badass
bring Ross and the original group to together and i will pay the price,-guys get it done - u will sell out every ware
Ed will never work with Ross again. Apparently Ed's first wife cheated on him with Ross, that's why he was kicked from the band.

Looks like Ed's playing some sort of archtop PRS, judging by the F-holes and the body thickness. Probably custom if I had to guess
Sounds rough from the version I've come to know, love this song!

I’m here from twilight 🤪

I would have kicked ross out of the band before i picked up my mic for trying to be Randy road's 🥰
