I’ve seen a lot of people say the same thing. Dean is a rhythm guitarist, so he is sometimes a little harder to hear especially with someone like Ross, Joel, or even Jesse playing on top of him. There are a few songs in their discography such as ‘New Vibration’ on Afterwords where Dean is actually the first guitar heard in the song. Anyways, Dean is a fabulous guitarist and he actually fronts another band outside of CS called Magnets and Ghosts that are also really good! He has also said in some interviews that he is not a “technical guitar player”, and that instead he plays with a lot of feel and emotion. Hope this helps!
