i mean when you have christian bale on vocals and Kurt Cobain on guitar your band is going to rock hard
Vanilla Ice on the bass man
lol yea the guitarist kinda looks like Kurt and Brad Pitt
Singer looks more like Willem Dafoe to me
Ummm yesssssssssss!
I thought the Dark Knight had joined the band!
That Riff still kills me, everytime I hear it
ear candy!
Yeah man. Killer!
Same!!! 🔥🎸
Wait until you learn to play it. Quite fun
So good
Collective Soul was one of the more underrated rock bands of the '90s
Imagine if they were in Seattle instead of Stockbridge?
Never underrated! Legend band. I still hear their music at restaurants.
Yes.
Certainly true
I completely agree
That riff tore the hell out of that summer 🤘🏻
Hell yeah it did !
Feels so nostalgic
It really did! Hot Summer!
One of the best Rock songs of all time! Killer riff!
Yes I agree
Yah and the rhythm part too.... played by
@@artkyger3425the rhythm is my favorite part of the song. Especially live.
Can't help but think that very few artists of today can compete with that level of artistry and musicianship. The world needs this again.
That cameraman knew... he knew well 🍈🍈
Ross Childress' powerful riffs!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸
💯 shredding
Their guitarist now. He can't do what Ross did. Ross made that guitar his bitch..
My Mom was there, the same year I was born. I missed out on such a generation 😄
Didn't he do the same thing with the Singer's wife? @@williammills8953
Los ví en México en el teatro METROPOLITAN DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.....!!
This sounds SOOOO GOOD! If you ever wondered if Collective Soul dressed up their studio sound with a lot of tricks that could never be performed live, then this proves that false. It sounds just exactly like the studio version and this was LIVE kiddies! No Pro Tools fakery here.
wouldve like to have been there lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw Rick Beato interview their lead singer, and he said he yelled “Yeah” through the cardboard at the center of a used roll of toilet paper in the studio. Some trick!
I saw them open for Hootie and the Blowfish last night, and he doesn’t even sing that part anymore. All 25k people in attendance did it for him!!! I guess that’s the real trick!
@@jackhaughjust watched that too with my husband. We love CS and I love finding things out like that.
One take willie at the recording studio. 😎🤘🏻
I don’t know how Ross does it but I love to watch him play. I’ve watched this entire concert many many times. I’ll never get sick of it… and then Shane on drums just kills it.
Shredding 💯
Best cover of Crazy Train in history.
He has such a distinct voice. Makes any CS song instantly recognizable!
Ed is such an underrated singer ! I saw them in concert last year and he still sounds amazing to this day !
@@MichaelMyers-pj2ukI saw them last week and let me tell ya they still sound absolutely amazing! The fact his voice still sounds the same warms my heart
Their best song! Hard to believe my oldest daughter went to school, in Stockbridge, GA.with theses guys, when she was 15, in the early 90s!
Not their best song. Hahaha.
This is such a great tune. One of their best, imo. My personal fav is Run.
Dude these guys were in there twenty's in the early ninetys. I don't know how they went to school with your daughter..😅😅
Someone is proud of them ta' ta's. You go girl.
she had damn good reason to be too lol.
@@FloridaManRacer they sure are nice aren’t they. A guy can’t complain about them boobs lol
Yup I saw em😊
Quote Dire Straits: Look at them yo yo's
Flo from progressive
Now this is a rock band!
Underrated though, which is sad.
NO SIT>!!!!
No grunge here
I went apeshit on this album when it dropped. 99 really was the best fucking year for music man. I wish everyone could have experienced the 90s 🤘🏻🔥
Was born in 2001 😢 only got to know the 90s and Collective Soul from my parents. Wish I could’ve grown up back then. Did get to see Collective Soul live recently and they still sound amazing !
90's were awesome, i liked 96 for music more, but every damn year is just full of great tunes.
@@Joshua.M.S. exactly brother
99 was a huge music buying year for me. Admittedly i dont think many of those albums stand the test of time but it was fun.
@@prilljazzatlanta5070 yup! Same brother. It was funny, on Friday I was in the work truck and our local Classic Rock station played “Down” by 311 for 3/11 day… Idk how I remembered this but that was the VERY FIRST album I ever purchased with my own money back in 1995. And I was like 7, mind you lol. By 99, I was buying albums like a damn champ! I spent more in 99 on cd’s than I have my entire life 🤣 except for vinyl LOL
Always Loved this band. Solid Sound and tight and Just a Clean, Heavy Sound.
3:05 fuck yeah!!
Sucks that Ross had to screw everything up for a woman. His riffs were amazing and fresh.
Ross Childress one of the great guitarists of the 90s
No doubt......... Him and Chris D'Abaldo of Saliva fame. The dude was off the hook good.
Check this out. Think you'll like it. > ruclips.net/video/ZYG3BPvFOgs/видео.html
Try in general
You high? So many better guitarists in the 90’s. Dimebag and zakk wylde were around in the 90s and that’s first 2 that come to mind
@@tomsaint786 Legend has it that Wylde is still standing over Dimebag's grave to this day playing pinch harmonics.
One of the best diddlers of the wives of front men as well.
Insane level of talent ✌️✌️
I saw them open for Sammy Hagar at the Toledo Zoo, yes, zoo, a few years back and I have to say they should have given Sammy the rest of the day off. These guys absolutely rocked!!!
Love it when the back up band blows the big boys off the stage. It happened in Houston in 1980 on the Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour when ZZ Top opened for them in the 70,000 seat Astrodome for two nights only. The Little Ole Band from Texas showed up and showed out!
Dang, wish i would have caught that! in Port Clinton...
Toledo Zoo Amphitheater ROCKS!
Saw them at the Downtown Toledo outdoor show. They still can play an awesome show. One of the underrated bands of the 90s!
one word . . . . RIPS. Never stopped loving Collective Soul since my dad played them in my youth.
NICE JUGGS JIGGLE!
Outstanding Performance!!!!! COLLECTIVE SOUL 🎸🎸🎸🎸
These are some of the 90's badd a$$'e$. Rock On
Only miracle can bring Ross back to Collective Soul. And I believe in miracle.
Such an abstract guitar solo. Love it!!!
Hard to believe this is 24 years ago now. No cell phones, no viruses, just real life. I’m glad I experienced it before it was over. Much love to my GenX family! 🤘
Amen brotha! I was 3rd row back. My fiance had her tits out..lol Now Im 53 and that wont happen again..LoL
😂😂😂
So viruses were a thing back before Woodstock 99’ fyi
What year?????
@@ladybirdadams1038 1999
Awesome song!
and lets appreciate 02:37!
YEA,,, sweet guitar solo
@@jcransome5616 Well yeah that too lol
That cameraman earned his paycheck just on this one song lolol
Hahahahaha
And 03:05 !
Such a monster tune. Miss Ross.
Such a tight performance.
Back when Collective Soul totally rocked. For the 90’s!
About the only thing i can tell that is wrong is that the song aint long enough.. great band... great song..
Ross Childress, was best part of this band. Phenominal Guitarist.... 3x Live in Colorado USA. Talented Band.
Let’s see.... this was uploaded 3 weeks ago and I’m using an iPhone 11 and the max resolution is 480? How the fck am I suppose to see the pretty girl’s circles?
3:06 they was nice. 😆
@Dragon Crypto r
Usually I don’t get to hear this song on the radio, but I did just today and it just made my day! They usually just play the same handful of CS songs. GOOD songs, but it’s nice when anything else of theirs gets any air time at all!
Amazing rock band, I recently discovered them. I don't listen to anything else.
Great rock.Heavy playing and melodic. This song should never end
the two parts that show tatties even look like them on the most replayed visual above the progress bar.
Great performance great song great riffs.. amazing 👍👍
Hands down the best band there the entire weekend. Most melodic, lyrical and powerful!
Ironically all hell broke loose a couple hours after that when Limp Bizkit tore up the stage (and not in a good way).
Who was topless girl and where is she 24 years later.
One of my favorite alternative band of all time.
Eh, not that alternative. They rode the wave like Pearl Jam while being closer to classic rock.
Nailed that performance
These guys rocked.....amazing.
3:07 Did that woman forget to wear her shirt before going to that concert? 🤔
Damn. That solo 2:23
The 19 people who thumbs down this lost their girlfriends that night to the band lol
They also didn't like titties.
3 thumbs up. 2 regular and the bone us thumb😜
I heard this song for the First time Yesterday on the radio. I Love the heck outta' it! I saw them Once at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT right after "SHINE" came out. I didn't know until yesterday, that they are so much More! Thanks for this! (PS the guitarist looks like Deeks (from NCIS LA). Anyone-else see that?
Seriously? You have at least half dozen other #1 hits to listen to from them. A dozen more that were next level.
Came of age in the 90's, this song didn't stand out from their other singles as much as say Shine or Gel (which I don't care for as much now), but after getting nostalgic and revisiting CS, this is definitely my favorite CS track , esp. when it's played like this. I don't think the original recording had the bass levels right like it is here.
Damn.Be happy that this is your gen.
No way are those as bouncy today...
She's atleast 40 now...but we'll always have the mammaries.
@@manofculture6528 😆
I'm acquainted with your suffering....
At 2:34-2:36 Ross was doing something crazy. How did he make that guitar sound so awesome? That was wicked...
And this part is pretty awesome too. 3:04 Wait, there was a band playing music?? ;-)
@@privatename3621 Great band performance, and the young ladies bouncing boobs was icing on the cake.
@@fivestring65ify the boobs was a phenomenal touch to the band. Bouncing on the guys head. Lol. Bet he had a headache after the show. 🤣
Holy Moley! I had no idea they were this good live. Why didn't they make it BigTime?? Oh, and Tig Ol' Bitties were a nice addition.
Lol..they had like 7 number 1 hits in the 90s. They made it big.
They made it just fine, don't sell them short
3:06 - The girl 😘
I could watch Ross all day long without going to work😅
Nice to see a real drummer with them instead of the td10
Shane Evans was amazing.
There were seriously underrated! Gel, Heavy, Shine, The World I Know...
The best in tuned band ever
Totally awesome song. I convinced my band to cover it. They said "Sure, but you sing it"
And guess I did!
Ross and Shane was awesome. They was the band. They all had a connection. You could tell.
AC DC is in that discussion
man that PRS has the GRITTY DIRT
Best days ever , my number 1 band forever ❤❤❤❤❤❤
That riff is hot as fuck, so is Ed.
Most aptly named song?
Wow this is one of those rare bands that sounds as good live as they do in studio.
El arranque d ela canción con ese riff es brutal. Collective Soul es la mejor banda de rock alternativo de los 99s , y si no crees escucha sus canciones, why, heavy, energy, precious declaration, december ufff todas ellas son un orgasmo.
Cristhian bale? Kkkkkk
Bro can't even keep up with his own studio vocal fluctuations at the end of every line. Where's the show?
Everytime I watch this, which is a lot I think the same thing. No enunciation and he doesn’t finish the words in the song. It’s a less than 3 minute song. I love you Ed I really do! Hahaha
When Ed played guitar and sang. Love it.
Whatever happened to the bouncy girl?
She grew up, and put a top on.
This song kicks major ass. To me, it reminds me of something off of Use Your Illusion. That riff is very Slash-esque to me
Will Turpin...EXCELLENT BASS PLAYER!
3:06👀
The Hi Hat is too quiet, same on the records. Push the fader up a few notches
Back when chicks would go topless. Freaking awesome band!!!
2:40 he farted
😯😯😯😯
As great as the entire band sounds, just perfectly balanced across the board, the part the jumps out at me the most here is Will's singing on the 3rd/4th repetitions of each chorus, in the back half of the song. Great tone, a nice deep sound and plays perfectly as another instrument behind Ed's lead vocal.
Some yesterdays ago, Desde México 2021..!!!!
90's!!! NICE!!!!!
Man.. I love this era... 🤘
A great riff and harmonious power chords never fails. 🎸
"And all your weight it falls on me , it brings me down." = Biden administration.
Esse belo par de tetinhas valeu assistir esse vídeo com o Cristian Bale nos vocais e o Kurt Cocaine na guitarra kkk
2:28 Ross... you are amazing!
Just fkin awesome. Love your music collective soul .
just excellent
One bad ass bass player!
Great performance. I like how Ross Childress added the extra non studio note at the end of the solo...they coulda went a couple more bars.
Ross Childress threw it all away. Incredible.
Search out this band on Howard Stern. They can still rock !
Incredible music, camera work was terrible. Stop with the closeup shots. show the whole band in frame.
Ed has one of those old thick-body HBs, probably worth some ridiculous money now
He looks like a mix of christian bale and Benedict cumberbatch
Fuck yeahhhhhh this song gets me every time
That guitar solo is soooo damn good !!! I could listen to it a hundred times.
Agreed, It is perfection for the song.
whoever mixed this song was on point that day!!! thanks FOH!!!
So handsome ❤
I don't know the musical key of the song, but I know that there were a couple D naturals in there.
Anyone know what sort of guitar the singer is playing ?
Patrick Bateman and Cobain.. who would have thought
Beyond badass
