Let's not forget there is life after our last breath in this world, there are two places where our souls go after death, either hell(A place of suffering and screaming from burning with fire) or heaven( a joyous place with no sufferings)
It's useless to live a better life now without Christ and spend eternity in hell and lake of fire after death. Getting saved and be sure you are on your way to heaven is very easy so why miss this opportunity?
Here are three steps to read carefully and believe to become a Christian and be sure you will go to heaven.
1. Realize you are a Sinner.
This is the first thing that a person must realize to be saved. Why would a person need a Savior if they don't need to be saved from anything? Many people today refuse to confess the sins in their life to God.
So if a person doesn't see oneself as being sinful, then they can't be saved, because they are still in darkness. So realize you are a sinner and stop saying you are righteous(morally right) than others because we all sin.
Scripture references to show we all sin;
Isaiah 64:6 (UKJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses(the quality of being morally right) are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
1 John 1:6-10 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Romans 3:23-25, 28, 30 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the REDEMPTION(act of being saved from sin) that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance(patient self-control)
of God; Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
- No law is going to make you go to heaven, however faith in shed blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing which will get you salvation.
2. Realize that for your sins you Deserve to Go to Hell.
Romans 6:23 plainly states that the wages of sin is DEATH. In Genesis 2:17 God warned Adam and Eve that they would die THE DAY they ate of the forbidden fruit. They disobeyed God, but didn't DIE physically until hundreds of years later. Why? It's because they DIED SPIRITUALLY that awful day, and all mankind has been born spiritually dead since (Romans 5:12). Please understand that spiritual death and the second death are not the same. Every person who is not born again is ALREADY spiritually dead. The second death is Gehenna, i.e., the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15). All those who die in their sins, without being born again, will be arraigned, prosecuted, and sentenced at The Great White Throne of Judgment and then cast into the Lake of Fire forever.
3. Believe that Jesus is the Savior (the Christ), who Paid the Full-Price for your Sins.
God became a human being in the person of Jesus Christ. God took on human flesh, lived among us and taught us. When the people rejected Him and His message, and sought to kill Him, He willingly sacrificed Himself for us and shed his blood for our sins, allowing Himself to be crucified ( John 10:15 ). Because Jesus Christ was human, He could die and because Jesus Christ was God, His death had an eternal and infinite value. Jesus death on the cross was the perfect and complete payment for our sin through his shed blood on the cross. ( 1 John 2:2 ). He took the consequences we deserved. Jesus resurrection from the dead demonstrated that His death was indeed the perfectly sufficient sacrifice for sin.
Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay. Jesus who knew no sin became as sin, that we who knew no righteousness could be made the righteousness of God (2nd Corinthians 5:17). Jesus literally took our sins upon Himself, and imputed His righteousness to our record. What a Savior! Jesus didn't just die to pay for our sins, He shed His blood for our sins, and applied that blood to the mercy seat in Heaven (John 20:17; Hebrews 9:12, 24).
Jesus suffered for our sins and was crucified on the cross and shed his blood for our sins, he was buried but however he rose again on the third day proving they he was God.
So repent, Repenting means: to change your mind; a sincere turning away, in heart, mind and action; Therefore God wants you to repent of sinful values and of sinful living. God wants you to decide to follow Him and to make Jesus the Lord of your life.
BELIEVE: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
You must believe that ONLY Jesus can save you and restore your relationship with God. You must believe that Jesus is the ONLY way by which you can have everlasting life and escape from eternal separation from God. You must believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and shed his blood for your sins and resurrected from the grave.
Since you have believed by faith and acknowledged that you deserved to go to hell for your sins but Jesus took your sins away, You have received Jesus as Your Lord & Savior and therefore; you become a child of God; you become born again; you became a Christian; you restored your broken relationship with God
After believing you can confess it with your mouth that you truly believe that Jesus Christ suffered and got crucified and shed his blood for your sins at the cross and shed his blood for redemption of your sins and at the third day he rose again, he is alive and he is in heaven now.
Since now you are born again try as hard as possible to stay away from sin; if there is a sin you are suffering from you can ask God to help you through prayer and he will do so. You will start to notice that you do not longer enjoy sin because God(Jesus Christ) is now inside you.
