  • There are opposing forces at play when fishing for pike with a fly rod. On one hand, it is fascinating and alluring that the pike likes to take a relatively large prey and thus also potentially a huge fly. On the other hand, the joy of fly fishing itself can be jeopardized if the fly tying gets out of control in size and volume. Jesper Lindquist Andersen knows this dilemma all too well. On a daily basis, he works in the tackle shop Go Fishing in Denmark, and here he has unfortunately a little too often come across customers who have turned down for the pike fly fishing. At the same time, Jesper has painfully experienced firsthand how both arm and back have finally had to capitulate during the winter season's intense pike hunt with large heavy flies and heavy gear. But by minimizing the materials and avoiding overly water-absorbing materials, which thus become heavy to cast, but can still move some water and attract the pike, Jesper has rediscovered the joy of pike fly fishing. In this video, he demonstrates one of his favorite flies in a black version - the Easy Cast Pike Fly.

The background music ia annoying as hell. Just looping a few seconds of guitar warm up training is toture for folks like me with OCD, ADHD and similar. It forces me to mute the vid and miss all verbally info given. I wrote comments like this several times before and I will keep writing comments. I don´t get why the hell you keep this pos music and not just switch it for another license free piece of music that won´t loop every 5sec. There is more than enough royalty free music and/or no copyright music available. Changing the music takes you less time than me writing this comment and that´s not because i´m slow but the process to change the music so incredibly easy done. Just stop beeing lazy and do something allready. Annoyed subscriber
