You are an amazing tyer, and a great inspiration for my bench. The free license Pink Floyd music and the random table cat were icing on the already perfect cake 😁
This is such a nice fly. I am just wondering....... could you do "a segment" where you take some of these pike/roach etc flies and scale them "down to trout sizes"????
This is a very old video. I tend not to tie articulated flies too often these days for pike (take too long) . Many of the American trout streamers are tied this way with two hooks. Double Deceiver is a good example of this type of pattern scaled down.
My personal preference is to use one hook for pike where I can. However I don't always and not had a problem using two other than the back hook snagging the front every now and again. It's up to the tyer
Max Hogg Hi Max, I'm allergic to most glues, but there are a few good toxic free ones out there. This is Evostik Serious Glue, which is both strong and flexible.
You re definitely my reference about tying pike flies. Inspiring ressources. Thx mr Paul.

Thanks for another great lesson! What size beads are you using?
No probs...typically 5mm
@@paul_monaghan Thanks and keep up the great work. Always looking forward to a new Pike Fly.
Awesome fly and video, thanks for sharing! But why do you use a shank instead of a hook on the back

Just found your vids. With the pike near me starting to move around this was the inspiration I needed! What is the glue you used for the eyes?
