I loved her arc a lot. It wasn't the typical "spoiled rich girl meets the real world" story. It started out like that but she grew and learned to love the part her talent let her thrive in. She realized that working hard for something she wants is better than having it given to her because her father would rather not deal with her.
I loved that it also showed another side of the whole "spoiled brat" thing. She craved validation and the spotlight because every time we see her father interract with her he hardly even cares. When she wants to try the jump, the first thing Moon does is get visibly concerned for her safety. And she's never experienced it so she doesn't even understand it, when she says "Daddy he won't let me jump" her dad doesn't even look up to see what the jump is. He doesn't even hear past "he wont let me" infact he just says "let her do the thing." While looking at his phone. Not once checking what his daughter is doing or even where she is. And right in the next scene where she just goes on and jump she shows that she doesn't even have any concern for her own safety either. She's so used to it being discarded and so starved for any real attention/connection that her dad's approval means everything to her and she doesn't even check whether the harness is secured correctly before throwing herself off the platform. Same with later scenes like when she thinks she's been fired, she overreacts for the same reason. She can't be told no, because dad's money and vague approval to everything is all she ever gets from him. Take that approval away from her and she's got nothing left. And when her father hears she lost the lead role, his biggest concern is how poorly this might reflect on his image and not even how his daughter feels about it. He even yells at her because she "embarasses him" and wont even take any more time to talk with her, rather having her escorted out of his sight. In the end it becomes especially apparent that she is spoiled financially but still very much neglected as an individual.
I like how Porsha’s character breaks the spoiled brat mold. - She actually has talent in singing instead of being the brat that has only her parent’s money (ex: Veruca Salt) - She puts effort into her talent and role later on which shows that she doesn’t want everything to be handed to her easily - She may have been spoiled but her father still isn’t really there for her emotionally - She learns to care about others and starts learning how to be selfless - She becomes brave, determined and forms independence when joining the group in leaving both the city and her father

I love her. I just finished watching the movie for the first time, and oh man, it's a spectacle! I was both smiling and crying at the same time from this song onward. Perfection.
What I love about her development is what it shows in both her and Moon. Moon didn't change from the first movie- and there wasn't much emphasis on him like there was in the first movie besides the major lie. Moon knew what to do to push peoples comfort zones but also what suited them. Porcha was a highlighted version of that. This role suited her more and this song showed her personality more. Moon knew she was talented but that didn't mean she was suddenly perfect for the part
The Koala has a flawless eye for talent, but actually drawing that out and getting it to work is the real challenge, especially since his flaw is that he is so tunnel visioned that he becomes insensitive
I loved when Porsha really stuck it to her awful Dad in this song! That's why it's my favorite of the 5 songs in the "Out of This World" show! It's so fitting for her because of the lyrics she shouldn't be selfish and not do the show just because she can't be the lead. It'd be a huge missed opportunity for her to still be in/preform in the show as the Alien! I'm so glad she became a much more likeable character. She went from a spoiled rich girl, to a great character that saw the error of her ways before ending up like her Dad.
It was so good to see you doing the montages for all of the performaces. Of course you had to leave the best one for last 😂. But i really enjoyed watching every single of them. Keep it up!!
If you think about it, the ”Can’t hear you” line harkens back to an earlier scene when Porsha says bye to Jimmy, but he blatantly seems to ignore her and leaves anyway which you can then see a sad look on her face when he doesn’t answer (it’s subtle but there). This was basically throwing it back at him. PS: Also just found out Halsey went to my High School.
Porsha deserves to be herself by doing the song. I knew she wanted to be part of Buster's show, which consisted of the green alien part, so I think she should have that moment to be remembered, since she did a great job. Oh, and one more thing, her father deserves to get arrested for the bad things he did.
Anyone notice how actually at the end she looks back at her home, and the song says "it could've been me" probably meaning she could've turned into the same as her dad, but she took her own path and got away from him
Agreed. While I like the first film for what it was, this one just had more depth to it IMO such as dealing with anxiety, depression, and overcoming your fears.
Porsha is free now, from her father, and I am happy she is, she has a bunch of new friends now!, Porsha is relatable and iconic, and she was fun to see develop through the movie, from having a ‘wanting everything handed to her on a silver platter routine’ all the time by her father, as later she sees, she is independent and doesn’t need her dad to rule her life, as she can do whatever she wishes on her own accord, as also she realized her father did not treat her like a actual daughter, but only to be used for her fame and so he would try to make off of her, like a pawn.
God, I'm so glad I found this channel with such amazing videos. Although it is surprising that the last videos are dedicated to two films that captivated me to the depths of my soul - Encanto and Sing 2. Most of all, I still like to read comments on these videos from people who notice small details in the movements and characters of the characters that are not visible the first time. This made me go to Sing 2 at the cinema again (it was still good at the box office) and even pre-ordered a digital release like I did with Encanto. Thanks to him, I will now be able to fully see all these hidden details that were seen here. Thank you to the author of the video and the authors of the comments for this, you open this wonderful film in a new way every time. I remember that the first movie about Sing just seemed to me... well, good. Not a bad plot, not bad jokes, nice characters, nice songs, but the sequel is just great. I think this is a great credit to director Garth Jennings, and I think that in the first film he certainly wanted to realize his idea, but at the same time followed the company's instructions. In the sequel, he was clearly given freedom of action, given that he became bigger, brighter and even more realistic in terms of the plot, with his characters, a story where there is pressure from the boss - a real wolf, and conflicts with the teacher, and with his own fears, and a compromise with a talented but capricious star, all this is very natural and lively and very beautifully animated. I hope for its box office success and success in sales of releases. I do not know exactly how much he collected because of this terrible covid. I work in a cinema myself, although in Russia (probably, this is clear from my nickname and my bad text. I apologize for this, I don't know the language well and I write with the help of a translator. Sorry for that), and in general, this cartoon was popular in Russia on the day of its release. Of course, the box office receipts from Russia are scanty against the background of the world rental, but I hope that the third part will be and it will be entrusted to Garth Jennings.

This song is really really really good. I'm crying out of sheer delight at the moment because of this. So proud of Porsha
I think this movie was better than the first one I loved it and I’m an adult
I love porsha’s character design! I loved the part where she sang “this girl is on fire”
Halsey gives me some strong Paramore vibes with her voice in this song and I am here for it!
People gonna hate me for this, but i jam the shit out of “Forget Me Too” by MGK. It’s the only song where i can get my fix of hearing Halsey in a rock song atm 🤣
@@oitaga6703 halsey LOVES this type of music and listened to a lot of pop punk. its so amazing to hear her sing this genre and how well her voice suits it
It’d be so cool to hear her cover Let the Flames Begin, Part II, Decode, All I Wanted, and Still Into You
@@twentyonetortas5921 I’m still waiting for her to finish her version of “This Girl is on Fire”. You just don’t sing that part of a song like that and then dip 🤣
I can honestly say i absolutely love this film, me and my children can not wait for it to come out on dvd!
Halsey did such a good job as Portia. The role suited her so well and it turned out amazing!!! She needs to do voice acting more!
Who can agree
Porsha is the best character
I love her attitude

I’m not afraid to admit that I got chills when the Night Cleaners came out tap dancing
I love her. I just finished watching the movie for the first time, and oh man, it's a spectacle! I was both smiling and crying at the same time from this song onward. Perfection.
Do you still like the movie :(
@@Imperviousdragon I absolutely do.
yes, the song she sings is very good and has become one of my favorites
This is my favorite song in the movie. I love how Porsha disobeys her father and embraces who she really is and isn’t afraid to stand up to her father
Her growth during the movie was nicely done.
I love the video more the edition 😍😍
I love her 😍🐺
What I love about her development is what it shows in both her and Moon.
Halsey is amazing. This character is awesome.
So full of rage that he can't even notice the fact that it is his daughter up there or the smile on her face
I love Porsha, she is my favortie
I love porsha I love her songs
I loved when Porsha really stuck it to her awful Dad in this song! That's why it's my favorite of the 5 songs in the "Out of This World" show! It's so fitting for her because of the lyrics she shouldn't be selfish and not do the show just because she can't be the lead. It'd be a huge missed opportunity for her to still be in/preform in the show as the Alien! I'm so glad she became a much more likeable character. She went from a spoiled rich girl, to a great character that saw the error of her ways before ending up like her Dad.
Porsha’s dad though 😩
It was so good to see you doing the montages for all of the performaces. Of course you had to leave the best one for last 😂. But i really enjoyed watching every single of them. Keep it up!!
Thanks for watching 😊👍
I am glad you liked it,
Have a nice day
@@MusicalEdits1 Thanks m8. Have a great day too. Btw may i know something? Where did you find the clips from the movie?
@@caverboy You can find it from anywhere around the internet, Just try searching but make sure to avoid links which are not safe.
@@MusicalEdits1 alright. Thank you so much ❤️
ポーシャまじ可愛い💕
Porsha is an amazing character:)
what a perfect edit 😍
Thnx 😊👍
If you think about it, the ”Can’t hear you” line harkens back to an earlier scene when Porsha says bye to Jimmy, but he blatantly seems to ignore her and leaves anyway which you can then see a sad look on her face when he doesn’t answer (it’s subtle but there).
This was basically throwing it back at him.
PS: Also just found out Halsey went to my High School.
Wow
Im addicted to this song, after i watch the Movie!!!
Great edits! :) Love it! :)
Porsha deserves to be herself by doing the song. I knew she wanted to be part of Buster's show, which consisted of the green alien part, so I think she should have that moment to be remembered, since she did a great job. Oh, and one more thing, her father deserves to get arrested for the bad things he did.
“Take that, you nasty, alien, mwonstah”
1:11 favorite scene in the movie
One of Porsha’s best moments
love this song girl
Sing 3 better be a thing
This is the one I was waiting for. An iconic song sung by a new iconic character in this movie series.
Anyone notice how actually at the end she looks back at her home, and the song says "it could've been me" probably meaning she could've turned into the same as her dad, but she took her own path and got away from him
We can all agree that Porsha got the best scene and song in the movie hands down.
I thought that Johnny had a great number, too.
Nah, the best one was Jhonny's, but this one is good.
It was actually Johnny that did because he faced his teacher and porsha was second because she faced her Dad
Agreed porsha is a great character and had the best song in sing 2
@@Power_rangers_forever totally
Porcha is my favorite character and this is my favorite song
Porsha is my favorite character!🎉 she’s so cool❤
DAMN THIS SONG BUSSIN BUSSIN
Na minha opinião, essa música é fantástica!
Я с вами согласен,Vinheta e Cronologia!!!
Yeah i agree i love this song
I agree 👍
Sim
This was my favorite song of the movie. Sing 2 out did Sing 1.
Agreed.
While I like the first film for what it was, this one just had more depth to it IMO such as dealing with anxiety, depression, and overcoming your fears.
10/10 song
Porsha is so good my fav Character😜😜😜😜😜
I think Porsha is the character who has grown the most in this movie
She sing about freedom as a whole and my favorite character☺☺💝
Porsha is free now, from her father, and I am happy she is, she has a bunch of new friends now!, Porsha is relatable and iconic, and she was fun to see develop through the movie, from having a ‘wanting everything handed to her on a silver platter routine’ all the time by her father, as later she sees, she is independent and doesn’t need her dad to rule her life, as she can do whatever she wishes on her own accord, as also she realized her father did not treat her like a actual daughter, but only to be used for her fame and so he would try to make off of her, like a pawn.
It’s literally a movie it’s not real
@@funnigamer3439 I know, it’s only a fictional movie, just stating my thoughts is all.
この曲めっちゃ好き❕映画見てる時、ぽーしゃ

Go porsha crystal!❤❤❤💛💛💛
I love her porsha was enjoying herself and went on with her dreams while disobeying here father
I normally think kids movies musicals are bad but this one is actually pretty good
Love this! I actually heard the original song before this movie was made. Pretty good song, also I love Porsha's character development.
I love the dancing
I love porsha she goes from like
"im better than you!!) to "im better now" the character development i love it i didnt hate her at her first scene i just thought shell be an enemy so the fact that she became my favorite character blows my mind i want to see more of her.
The Sing films have some pretty indepth psychology going on, for character analysis. I love watching these kinds of films. Porscha is a good kid, if not that her father is a toxic asshole, also a representtion of the mega corporate music industry here in the USA.
This movie is a masterpiece
porsha has such a beautiful voice i hope they have other movies or her voice because that is just on point!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes pls
shes voiced by halsey!!
@@celestialivory7033 Correct.
And she did very well in both her voice acting and singing (both this song and her version of “Girl on Fire”).
Porsha is voice is really good and want to hear it in the third movie
(Talking about her voice in the movie)
Could Have been Me is amazing
This song is number SUPER 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the tap dancing bit towards the end of the song
I love that little squeak in her voice when she says "YEAH!"
Yes sirrrr
That was cute
Can’t stop listening to this! My favorite song from this film, hands down!
Don't wanna live as an untold story
Rather go out in a blaze of glory
I can't hear you, I don't fear you
I'll live now 'cause the bad die last
Dodging bullets with your broken past
I can't hear you, I don't fear you now
… Wrapped in your regret
What a waste of blood and sweat
Oh oh oh
… I wanna taste love and pain
Wanna feel pride and shame
I don't wanna take my time
Don't wanna waste one line
I wanna live better days
Never look back and say
Could have been me
It could have been me
Yeah
… Don't wanna live as an unsung melody
I'd rather listen to the silence telling me
I can't hear you, I won't fear you
Don't wanna wake up on a monday morning
The thought of work's getting my skin crawling
I can't fear you, I don't hear you now
… Wrapped in your regret
What a waste of blood and sweat
Oh oh oh
… I wanna taste love and pain
Wanna feel pride and shame
I don't wanna take my time
Don't wanna waste one line
I wanna live better days
Never look back and say
Could have been me
It could have been me
Yeah
… Hey
I wanna taste love and pain
Wanna feel pride and shame
Don't wanna take my time (No)
Don't wanna waste one line (Hey Hey)
Wanna live better days (Just better)
Never look back and say
Could have been me
It could have been me
It could have been me
It could have been me
I wanna taste love and pain
Wanna feel pride and shame
I don't wanna take my time
Don't wanna waste one line
I wanna live better days
Never look back and say
