2:01 Please tell me that I was not the only one who noticed the detail of Porsha's teary eyes, it shows too much the passion and the feeling that she was putting into her song,I luv this girl so much
Yo. I thought I was the only one who saw that. This movie really wants you to care so much for a character who will probably see for only one time, we don't need her backstory we just need to know that she has suffered and that there's a lot of pain she's letting out when she's singing the song. I don't know if we'll ever get another Sing movie, but I got to give them props for making us care for this new character we know next to nothing about. Good job writers 👍🏾
1:53 to 1:56 gives me goosebumps because of the absolute raw emotion that comes through... Plus they show the emotion on Porcha'a face... They did great on this movie
Porsha's performance was, in my opinion, the best performance in the entire movie. Her movements are so energetic and filled with passion and I love how her musical number gets more and more over-the-top, the choir at 1:24, the key transpose and overall just her amazing vocal range.
Ashe was the main star of the first movie imo, Porsha in this one. Johnny was always second, but not because he wasn't great either. I wish we had a full version of "nothing holding me back" from him Q_Q...
I think she's tired of being spoiled, she doesn't wanna waste any more time because if she does she will look back at the things she wanted to do but others are doing it instead of her. A literal "Don't wanna live as an untold story" or "It could have been me" I get it all to well, that's me every morning when i wake up "It could have been me", unfortunately, im stuck where i am with no way out.
At 2:02 to 2:12 you can see the pain in Porsha’s eyes and in her voice from all the neglect and emotional abuse she endured from her dad, and she’s finally letting it all out. You go girl! ❤
I wonder if Porscha's mom divorced her husband or did something abusive to Porscha's mom. This made Porscha feel like she has to listen to her dad but she can't be herself. Porscha learned from Mr. Moon is that money and fame doesn't make one happy. But doing what you love and passion and understand that nobody's perfect. All of these characters growth shows that you have be strong, be positive, also love is worth more than money. Having someone that you can trust when you feel down is good . Finally, think about others before yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help.
@@springheartedtiger Yeah, she kind of has a New York accent. Probably to connect the Crystal family to NYC mob families, who often owned Las Vegas casinos.

This is a pretty powerful song by itself. Halsey brings new life to it and the character itself Porsche fits the song because it's her finally realizing her potential
Um... allow me to burst that bubble... several pro wrestlers have actually done this in the ring, the most famous of which was WWE wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage, who popularized the move in his matches. The survivability of it actually depends on the weight of the person receiving the blow.
What I liked the most in her gesture it was the fact she litteraly says to her father "I don't care anymore about you". And that is emphazed by her saying "I don't fear you! I don't hear you now!". I don't know why but this moment has given me chills when I saw this scene at cinema. Like I was kinda proud of her.
The best performance in the whole movie, and made me fall in love with Porsha. Love her singing voice and how she dances around. Very elegant and beautiful. 😊❤️
The most impressive detail is that the whole act was reconstructed for Porsha within an afternoon. It really shows Buster (and likely Gunter) has a strong grasp of his performers and how to bring out their better qualities.
@@IronycheinPain I think it's also that Moon is willing to compromise creativity with his team, he knows a good idea when he hears it. We see this when he makes Gunter his story man. It makes a good contrast to Jimmy Crystal who doesn't compromise ANY of his control, even when it risks a bad decision.
This was my favorite part of the whole movie hands down. I love how she struts around the entire time and her singing was amazing. I just wish her character had more screen time and actually had a story arc. You could have replaced her with anyone, she doesn't bring a thing to the entire movie other than impressive singing capabilities. We have no real reason given as to why she turns so readily on her father either. She was vapid and adorable for sure, but had a negligible role in the entire film save for her numbers. I watched the movie because of this one song expecting it to be about her trying to get into the show despite her dads wishes but was sadly disappointed.
Hello! I just wanted to post my thoughts here, you’re welcomed to skip it but I thought that her role and her character in the movie was done pretty well actually. (There will be some spoilers since I’m citing the movie here) The reason why she isn’t featured much is probably because she isn’t part of the main cast (the characters that are re-featured here from the first movie) but even as a secondary cast member, her story was pretty amazing. We meet her as the clearly spoiled daughter of Jimmy Crystal who is a celebrity being that he owns a theater in a famous city and she seems pretty confident in herself too. She knows she can sing and even preforms on the spot to try to win a spot in her father’s new hit show. Yet then when the main cast realizes that she has her own weaknesses (she can’t act) and they want to help her fit into a role where her strengths can shine more, she misinterprets their intentions as hatred for her. And this is just my assumption here because I don’t have a narcissistic abusive parent, but that’s where her insecurity comes from. She immediately assumes that the whole main cast hates her cause her father has always been super unstable between spoiling her and screaming about how his image is ruined. If I had a dad who one second spoils me and gives me anything without batting an eye, but then the next second talks about how I’m a disgrace because I possibly made a mistake or misunderstood something, I would have conflicting feelings about when someone suggests that I’m not good enough for something. So when she basically gets yelled at once she reaches home, she continues crying (with no comfort or resolve on his - her dad- end) until she is called back to the set and told that they want her still and probably clarified what they meant, I would probably then turn on my dad too being he only ever can focus on his own image and reputation over my well-being. So as she performs her number, she is basically singing her feelings out too, especially with her first few verses. “Don’t want to live as an untold story, rather go out in a blaze of glory” I think that literally speaks volumes about how she doesn’t want to always be known as Jimmy Crystal’s daughter but as Porsha herself. That whole story arc I feel like can’t just be anyone else because it is a story of a survivor trying to claim their own identity and freedom in a way. Its really what makes her number so special for me too. Thanks for reading! :)

I have rewatched this scene so many times and has become my favorite number from both Sing movies. Porcha at first was so annoying a spoiled little brat but then you see that she was caged up, had great talent. You really see her breaking free from her father in this number, you can see the pain in her eyes and as she puts her heart and soul into this number. Many times we think rich kids have it easy and are spoiled but they are still kids who at times suffer in silence because everyone automatically think their life is perfect.
Taron Egerton always delivers but this is the best song in the movie. Despite it being a cartoon, you can't help but feel happy for Porsha as she is breaking free from her father's grasp and expectations, and Halsey's singing has everything to do with that.
i think porsha’s role as being in the planet of joy makes a lot of sense, and the song matches as well. porsha has always been very close with her father and always has been on his side. but when she performs on stage, she performs with such great energy, as if she overcame something. the planet of joy shows porsha’s adventurous personality and her strong emotions. the song has lyrics that say “i can’t fear you, i don’t hear you now”, “don’t wanna waste one line, never look back and say it could’ve been me” showing that she won’t let her father control her and call her an embarrassment. she’ll now live for herself, also showing she isn’t gonna be wasting her life anymore and will be living her life to the fullest and won’t have any regrets. fun fact: the jacket porsha wears throughout the movie is a sign saying how she depends on her father and in a way is trapped because her father called her an embarrassment. but then when she gets back in the show she doesn’t wear her jacket anymore. meaning she’s now officially freed and won’t have to depend or live up to anybody’s expectations because she will live for herself and is now independent.
Hands down THE BEST PERFORMANCE in Sing 2. Glad Rositta got her part so that Porsha can give us this magnificent performance. The YEAH part was sooooo cute 😍
I just discovered this song today while I'm watching sing 2. After i finished the movie, i straight went to youtube lol, and started to listening again. Man I can't get enough of this gem, i love it and porsha too.
It was nice to see Porsha rebelling against her father and singing her heart out! Movies like Encanto and Sing really carry the bar when it comes to singing!❤❤❤
I may not know Halsey (who voices Porsha Crystal), but she has a great singing voice. Plus her singing this song by English rock band the Struts is amazing
En realidad le está diciendo que no lo escucha (o sea que lo está desobedeciendo), la parte que está cantando ahí es "I don't hear you now" y por eso se señala sus oídos
she's adorable throughout the whole movie, she was just a spoilt brat at first because she was trying to get attention from her scumbag father, he clearly never actually cared about her

My absolute favorite part of this movie is the way Moon takes Porsha under his wing and treats her with the same love and respect as all of his other cast members in spite of the fact that she was forced on him by the man that literally tried to kill him twice 🤯
Not to mention that the dude was a cheetah, and cheetah bones are lighter than the other big cat counterparts. That quick cut to the stage was just obvious censoring because not only his bones would turn to powder but also have his internal organs explode. Lmao
One of the best performances of the film. Can't get passed the fact that she was literally the reason they had to do the show this way because of her being a spoiled brat. But as with in the real world we ignore bad behavior because she's talented...

i think porsha’s role as being in the planet of joy makes a lot of sense, and the song matches as well. porsha has always been very close with her father and always has been on his side. but when she performs on stage, she performs with such great energy, as if she overcame something. the planet of joy shows porsha’s adventurous personality and her strong emotions. the song has lyrics that say “i can’t fear you, i don’t hear you now”, “don’t wanna waste one line, never look back and say it could’ve been me” showing that she won’t let her father control her and call her an embarrassment. she’ll now live for herself, also showing she isn’t gonna be wasting her life anymore and will be living her life to the fullest and won’t have any regrets.
fun fact: the jacket porsha wears throughout the movie is a sign saying how she depends on her father and in a way is trapped because her father called her an embarrassment. but then when she gets back in the show she doesn’t wear her jacket anymore. meaning she’s now officially freed and won’t have to depend or live up to anybody’s expectations because she will live for herself and is now independent.
1:16 gives me goosebumps
Porsha’s real father is Buster Moon!
How?
Hands down THE BEST PERFORMANCE in Sing 2. Glad Rositta got her part so that Porsha can give us this magnificent performance. The YEAH part was sooooo cute 😍
You're right ✅️
I wish theres a live version of this scene, it will be ,,, legendary!
🐼🐼🐼🐼MARIANA
I was hoping for it when I saw Halsey in concert
I just discovered this song today while I'm watching sing 2. After i finished the movie, i straight went to youtube lol, and started to listening again. Man I can't get enough of this gem, i love it and porsha too.
Listen to the original by the struts it's just as good, just with a male singer lol
1:14 Make this as a meme picture!
YES I WOULD LOVE THATTTT
Porsha is sowe funny because she jumped around🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
I love the whole thing about the snacks and cushions. An amazing performance...and a hilarious moment right in the middle of it.
i love this song and her ❤❤❤❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🥰😘😘🥰😍
The way she walks towards her dad is so cute and funny 🤣
I sing it every Tuesday❤🎉🎉
I loved Porsha
The cat is so adorable and adorable
Love the defiant look in her eye and strut in her walk when she looks and turns away from her father
Popcorn 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
It was nice to see Porsha rebelling against her father and singing her heart out! Movies like Encanto and Sing really carry the bar when it comes to singing!❤❤❤
I like you so much porsha you’re the greatest greatest greatest and you’re a great and good so much❤❤❤❤❤
I may not know Halsey (who voices Porsha Crystal), but she has a great singing voice. Plus her singing this song by English rock band the Struts is amazing
She sings certain popular songs you might have heard of like Without Me and Bad at Love
@@GachaGia517 and that one chainsmokers song "Closer"
Thank you both for your suggested songs to listen to by Halsey.
@@amabelbarlow8046 lol yw
@@samueljoeltangkawarow1288 oh yeah! She sings a lot of songs lol
She’s my favorite character I love her character design and her voice
1:02 Best part of the song! 😆🥰
That was the best performance ever, Porsha is super talented and hope she join the cast again in Sing 3.
me too
is it me or is Porsha Just simply cute and adorable in the number?
she's adorable throughout the whole movie, she was just a spoilt brat at first because she was trying to get attention from her scumbag father, he clearly never actually cared about her
Oh,porsha! Her voice is so pretty 😍! Omg! Porsha you did great! Porsha:thx
The drum rolling at the end...
Now THIS is the role Porsha belongs in!!!
Lyrics :
Don't wanna live as an untold story
Rather go out in a blaze of glory
I can't hear you, I don't fear you
I'll live now 'cause the bad die last
Dodging bullets with your broken past
Well, I can't hear you, I don't fear you now
Wrapped in your regret
What a waste of blood and sweat
Oh oh-oh
I wanna taste love and pain
Wanna feel pride and shame
I don't wanna take my time
Don't wanna waste one line
I wanna live better days
Never look back and say
It could have been me
It could have been me, yeah
Don't wanna wake up on a Monday morning
The thought of work's gettin' my skin crawlin'
I can't fear you, I don't hear you now
Wrapped in your regret
What a waste of blood and sweat
Oh oh-oh
I wanna taste love and pain (I wanna taste love)
Wanna feel pride and shame
I don't wanna take my time (no)
Don't wanna waste one line (hey)
I wanna live better days (better days)
Never look back and say
Could have been me (it could have been me)
It could have been me (it could have been me)
I wanna taste love and pain (I wanna taste love and pain)
Wanna feel pride and shame (wanna feel pride and shame)
Don't wanna take my time (I don't wanna waste my time)
Don't wanna waste one line (don't wanna waste one line)
I wanna live better days
Never look back and say
It could have been me
Oh, it could have been me
It could have been me
I like porsha
Tbh Halsey should be in more movies! She’s a good actor
この場面が好き。アメリカのおてんば娘って感じで楽しい!!
1:23 como amo esa parte lptm
Послушала с увеличением скорости 😂😂😂
Gru: Steals the moon
Porsha: Steals Moon’s show
Hahahaha- so funny
Neil Armstrong: Walks on it
Dr. Evil: Puts a laser on it.
Wallace and Gromit: Have a picnic on it.
Porsha is the best
My absolute favorite part of this movie is the way Moon takes Porsha under his wing and treats her with the same love and respect as all of his other cast members in spite of the fact that she was forced on him by the man that literally tried to kill him twice 🤯
Omg I realized in the video and the movie her makeup is so cute!
HALSEY IS THE BESTTTTTTT
I never noticed porsha was wearing heals she was jumping around like INSANE
I'm i the only one that thinks 1:25 part is just so amazing
No, you’re not, that part was amazing
Yeah, it was epic!!
Great scene. Do yourself a favor and look for the original sang by the Struts.
I love this song soooooooooooooooooo much!
0:58 YEAHH!
AKA Shark Puppet Says YEAH
Perfeita♥️♥️😍😍😍😍💕
SHE KILLED IT SHE KILLED IT. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
I only found this movie 2 weeks ago, in love 😮❤
Bryson
Idk this gives me nostalgic of my happiest Christmas 2023..
2:13 I love the performance and fireworks finale! 🎉🎆
I love this part so much ❤️
Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this song! I’m going to draw that wolf in FlipaClip
1:02, he just slams him to the ground while a gorilla just mid air about land on top of him. Rest in pieces. Those bones probably all gone.
Not to mention that the dude was a cheetah, and cheetah bones are lighter than the other big cat counterparts. That quick cut to the stage was just obvious censoring because not only his bones would turn to powder but also have his internal organs explode. Lmao
isn't that a reference to that one meme?
that part made me laugh JAJAJA
But a cheetah couldn t take down a gorilla and he did
@@GabsARV rtiu😂qqq
Fun fact: Sing 2 is the longest Illumination movie
One of the best performances of the film. Can't get passed the fact that she was literally the reason they had to do the show this way because of her being a spoiled brat. But as with in the real world we ignore bad behavior because she's talented...
So her being spoiled and emotional was the problem, not her dad repeatedly making attempts on people's lives for hurting his pride? ok
Hhtyf
@@lindsfreey9080 blame women for what men do, classic
I wouldn't say it excuses or justifies it even slightly, but it does at least make it understandable in some regards.@@jadecoolness101
I ❤ being a dragon 🐉
honestly, I love Porsha. when she finally came out of her shell, for this performance! omg, she is so cute!
