Oh Therese These are all so lovely and so many new techniques. Finally have taken the plunge and ordered a beterpress. Can't wait to start playing with it. Crafty hugs Lisa
Just such gorgeous cards as per usual from you Therese! So hard to pick a favorite, but I must say that the technique you used on first one of stamping those gorgeous flowers and then blind pressing the burlap plate really made the flowers looked like pressed specimens - love how it turned out!
You can certainly get similar looks to these using embossing folders and foiling plates (even gold heat embossing), but it's nice to be able to stretch these plates further than just 'letterpress'. So glad you like the cards Jeanne!
Both cards are stunning! I have an anniversary card to make as well. I don't have a better press but I may try heat embossing. Thanks for the inspiration Therese!
I find the Letterpress much easier to use than the Hot Foil systems I've tried... but in saying that I think the Letterpress press plates work better in the Hot foil systems than some of the hot foil plates lol. Thanks for your lovely visit here today Wanda!
They are much easier to use than Hot Foil systems and I do like that the plates can be hot foiled. My focus now is to purchase mostly Press Plates because I can use them in both systems. It is a bit of a decision though, because you will need to purchase plates that are compatible, I've found that my watercolour cardstock and the Altenew inks work really well with the Betterpress, so at least I didn't have to purchase all new inks and paper as well.
They are both beautiful cards Therese! I must say that I love the first one, your cards are always stunning.. I have to say that I haven't tried the Letterpress technique..
Thank you so much Patricia, the impression looks very similar to a debossed image from an embossing folder, but it's great to be able to stretch the BetterPress Press Plates a little further!

Ooh, Yay Lisa, I'm so excited! You already know you are going to love it lol.
The Blind letterpress technique is so pretty
So glad you like it Sharon!
Beautiful cards, sorry can’t pick a favourite. Love your blending colour choices.
Thanks so much!
I really like the first one best (blind letterpress) although both are gorgeous! I must get that letterpress plate.
So glad you like them, thank you Carolyn!

So glad you liked these Kimberly, I too am a fan of the impressed background look!
Love them both. Beautiful cards.
Thanks so much Sibylle!
These are both such pretty cards! I love all the dimension you added to them. I'm going to have to try the blind letterpress look on my next card :)
It's such an easy subtle background, and it looks great on blended cardstock... or blend it after!
That's a cool background press plate👍 Love both these Therese. Great ideas.
I agree, they also have a similar background stamp called Rustic Linen which is fun too!
Hard to choose, but the blind letterpressed is lovely.
Thank you Cathy, so glad you enjoyed these!
I love your gorgeous cards equally! The 'wheels' are turning, Therese! You know I'm going to give this 'blind' pressing a try! =]
Yes indeed, I know it calls to your 'dry embossing' addiction lol.
Very beautiful! You have such a classy style in your card making!!
Thank you so much Dana!
Stunning! Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us!
My pleasure 😊
Both gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much!
Love both cards! I still haven’t bought a Better Press but would love to have one. Thanks so much for sharing.

Heat embossing is a great option Lori, hope you have fun creating!
I can’t pick a favorite because both are very beautiful!! I need to buy a letterpress!!

@@lostinpaper I’m half afraid of the Hot Foil systems; I’m afraid I would burn myself. I’m awfully clumsy!
@@wandasimons3305 I get that... I feel the same way about guillotine cutters lol.
Beautiful cards! I don't have the BetterPress - yet but very interested.
