    I think it's best to catch the sardines very early in the morning guys. But glad you got your wish for turtles! There are also lots of turtles in Apo Island off the coast of Negros province (near Dumaguete). 🐢
    Another diving attraction we have are the giant clams in Samal Island in Davao. The largest species is over 1 meter wide. There are actually giant clams in different parts of PH. In fact, the largest pearl was found in Palawan which is 2 feet long! But also in Davao, you can visit the Philippine Eagle sanctuary where you can get to see our majestic national bird which is the biggest eagle in the world in terms of length and wing span. You can also visit Davao Crocodile Park where you can eat Crocodile Lechon and Croc Ice Cream. (I think they only have them on weekends though.)
    Btw, there are nice white sand beaches in Cebu too like White Beach and Lambug Beach. Hope you get to check them out too while you're in Cebu. And glad to know you're extending your stay. Yey! :)

    • @moondustgirl2132

      Sad about all the garbage on the ocean floor there in Moalboal though. They actually cause coral bleaching which you can also see there. :(

    • @TravelstoFreedom
      @TravelstoFreedom  Год назад +3

      Yes our mistake was definitely going late 😑 when we head to Negros we will try and see them again!! We have never seen clams either so that would be really cool to see! We did hear about the pearl found here actually, somebody told me about it a few weeks ago I was so shocked!! We have been excited to see the Philippines eagle for a long time ever since we saw the photos in our Intramuros video! We do try and avoid places where animals are held in captivity and crocs scare us a little bit haha 🤣🤣 we have a video coming up of our visit to white beach too & yeah it is a real shame about all of the rubbish 😔

    • @moondustgirl2132
      @moondustgirl2132 Год назад +3

      @@TravelstoFreedom I've seen giant clams when i visited the University of the Philippines Marine Institute in Pangasinan (north of Manila) many years ago. They were in big oxygenated vats. Just can't remember exactly how large they were, but they were big.
      Yes, i am also saddened by animals in captivity. But some of them are also for conservation purposes (like our eagle sanctuary) so in that case, it's okay.
      Haha, yeah crocs are scary. Have you also heard of Lolong? He's the largest captured crocodile that was caught here in PH, in Mindanao. But he died after about 2 yrs in captivity. His taxidermied skin is on display at the National Museum of Natural History. Maybe you can also check it out if/when you return to Manila.
      :)

    Spoke the magic words there - "…We're not leaving anytime soon" =D
    Crush heard you and sent his lot to say "HI!" and see what you both are up to =DD if you've been naughty or nice 😅 Try on a cooler day, maybe earlier?
    Anyhow, sometimes nature's secret in Moalboal is not to give you all you wished for in one day so there's something to do the next =D All the same, the smile on your faces says it all. Travel safe!
