- Everyone loves Filipino Street Food, including us! We couldn't wait to get around the Rizal Boulevard in Dumaguete and dig in to the local street food. The stalls are only open from 5pm onwards so make sure you get there at the right time!
We managed to find a new favourite snack on our walk around the boulevard. The street food in the Philippines really is something else, we love it.

You should eat kwek-kwek fresh from frying oil, I doubt the taste if its already on display...
The pearls are called boba. That is sold all over South East Asia . Ube is excellent. Eat fresh mango because it is nothing but mango.
There's alot of foreign people choose to stay in dumaguite...one of this the blogger fin snow and other's🤗🤗
Guys, I can't wait until you guys set foot onto the City of Iloilo, and Bacolod ( middle Visayas ) You will discover the real place for delicious food in their markets, and you'll become impressed how clean the municipalities, and how friendly the people are. Their specialties are the 'Batchoy' Soup , and the Chicken Inasal. Both of these dishes originated there , and are now staples of filipino cuisine. 15 minutes by boat from Iloilo City is the island of Guimaras, there you will find the most delicious yellow MANGOES i the World. No joke, its in the Guiness Book of World Records. In fact, no other mangoes are allowed into the island, its prohibited , because they can't cross pollinate the native mangoes with any other anywhere. The mangoes at Guimaras are so valuable, that you'll be paying up to 95 pesos each at times for it, but they are worth it. Bacolod is a place where you'll find homemade filipino dishes cooked the right way, and they are so delicious. In the meantime, enjoy your travels in the PH, and take care.
you can request drinks with no small balls thats cheap bbq with rice and lechon with rice .the orange quail eggs is one of our filipino snack here in php .more food trip pls take care always guys.from manila😍😀🙏👍

Cassava root crops in the Phil’s like potato and yam
🇵🇭❤️The street foods just like our everyday food are a bit different from province to province because they have their own recipes and preparation. Generally, Filipinos like mild-tasting food, and most of the time, it has to be in combination with other food as well as sauces or condiments which can make it taste stronger according to your liking. Thanks for trying out our street foods. 👍🤟
I will visit Dumaguete this March….
Kaming mga filipino mahilig sa mga matatamis na pakaen. Wag nyo kainin kung ayaw nyo!!!🤣
Power On Guys 👍👍✌️🙌👌💕🇺🇸
New subscriber here in Philippines
i drink bubble tea just for the pearls
The pearls are the best part. Lol
Enjoy the moment
never been to dumaguete, how do you assess it?
that banana chips supposed to be a bit sweet
Ang arte ang sarap naman nyang banana flakes..🤣
I do hope you realize that the Ice cream you tried is called "dirty ice cream" don't be afraid. It's is not really dirty or filthy ... We just call it dirty ice cream because vendors sell it on the street. Don't expect too much also, because usually dirty ice creams are made from local and not so premium Ingredients that is why they are cheap to buy.
right..idk if im overreacting but they seem to be disgusted ab everything and kinda disrespectful ab it ? idk tho
Who do u mean Louie and Dion, I think they just want to try as much as they can me looking at some things I wouldn’t try myself so I don’t think they mean to b disrespectful at all everyone’s tastebuds are different and living in England we don’t get to sample flavours like the kinds they r trying, people are not going to like everything but when they do they r really happy about it, they wouldn’t be disrespectful to Philippines or it’s people they love the place and the locals. I get what u mean but they really are not negative people and they have said many times dion can b a fussy eater like lots of others some things r just a required taste, hope u don’t mind my comment it’s only how I see it xxxx
@@nicky9927 i understand lol but if they are going to another country and want to try diff things atleast search it up before they get it or go there😅😅 its a bit odd how they make like awkward faces and say “im sorry but that is disgusting “ and laugh after when they can j say it in their head or j say they dislike it or its not for them
Do some research first
The black pearl is tapioca

Dumaguete is like only 30 minutes from oslob going to the port of samboan then 20 minutes by ferry
Hello there. Just want you to know you can ask any locals whenever you have doubts on how to properly tackle the foods here. Many will be more than willing to help you particularly with condiments, how to make/mix them, and what goes with what. Mains are almost always taken with rice and not eaten by itself or you might find some flavors overwhelming. You can ask the servers, waiters or even the people sitting next to you. Popular condiments:
Spiced vinegar
Soy sauce with kalamansi and fresh chillies or chilli oil
Chicken oil
Atchara
Bagoong or alamang (shrimp paste) - necessary condiment when you order kare-kare
note: halo halo dessert literally means mix mix so you have to mix everything before you eat it.
Enjoy! 😊
Too negative
They really r not they r trying all they can they won’t like everything look at their video of their 5 favourite things in the Philippines food is one of them, they r a lovely couple having fun and love lots of the good they named them in the 5 best thing video’s not everyone likes the same it’s their opinion and u would b entitled to yours I wouldn’t try lots of things they try because I’m fussy xxx
It’s disappointing that you didn’t like anything. I know you liked the halohalo at Mang Inasal. One of the many toppings is the (tapioca pearls).
Me too I’m disappointed with them . Very picky eaters
We both loved the egg, Louie loved the banana chips & pork bbq, there was only a few things we didn’t like. We’re definitely going to try the bubble tea again, maybe it’s the flavour we need to change and didn’t expect the pearl balls to be as slimy as they were😂
@@TravelstoFreedom yup maybe it’s cooked different. To clarify I’m not disappointed with you guys. It’s the foods you picked that have weird taste to some foreigners like yourselves.
Maybe the pearls were the bits in the halo halo that u noticed and would of preferred without, ur not being fussy we don’t get these foods at home ur giving everything a go and won’t like everything it’s totally different to what ur used too, and people would come to your country and b disappointed we don’t really have lots to try like food markets it’s a restaurant with a high bill at the end, I love how u buy enough for two but share each thing it’s better cos if u don’t like u haven’t wasted money on 2, u try a lot more than I would xxxxx
Also they made a blog that listed their 5 favourite things in Philippines and food had a great review from them
From what i've observed, the most likeable Pinoy streetfoods are also the ones that have been around the longest like BANANA-Q, TURON, and FISHBALLS. So i hope you get to try them too. As for Sorbetes or local ice cream, next time please try Ube or Cheese or Chocolate (which is actually ChocNut, a local candy made of chocolate and peanuts). You can ask the vendor to put all 3 in one serving. They allow that.
And yeah, as some have said here, the tapico pearls in Pearl Teas are meant to be eaten. They're similar to Sago which is also added most of the time to Halo-halo. If you remember the red balls in the Halo-halo you had at Mang Inasal, they're actually Sagos. :)
Btw, i recommended those ice cream flavors coz they're the usual favorites and the tastiest ones. Perhaps the mango you tried didn't have enough mangoes as they are usually expensive. :)
Not the choc nut Louie has a nut allergy, but so good that u and others recommend things to them dion may like the choc nut, I wasn’t being rude by the way just letting u know he has a nut allergy incase u have other ideas for them. Xxxxx
Sorry moon dust girl I see u have put the vendors can put altogether so they can still have but without the nuts, Louie I know u always ask about nuts and ur not going to ask for nuts but the other stuff u can have if allergic to peanuts can u have coconut shavings xxxx
@@nicky9927 Oh i'm sorry, i forgot that Louie is allergic to peanuts. He shouldn't order the chocolate then coz if they used ChocNut to flavor it, then the peanuts are incorporated into it. :)
Honest I wasn’t picking u out ok ow u were helping rather than trying to poison him it’s good people like u recommending xxx
The food looked quite good. I'm a little surprised that you did not care for the milk tea (or bubble tea) too much. I've had it a few times here in the US, and it can be quite good! The pearls or boba in the tea are edible too in case you end up trying some again in the future. Awesome video!
Cassava is a root crop indigenous to the Philippines. You should try cassava cake which is cooked in coconut and strips of jackfruit . It is very savory.
Nope it's from south america my friend. Check wikipedia for it.
It's always a hit or miss when it comes to street food 😂 hope you had fun guys~
Thank you for loving our humble country🇵🇭 guys
THE PEARL IS THE BEST PART OF BUBBLE TEA 😂 EVERYBODY LOVES IT HAHAHAHA
What is the pearl kelvin im intrigued
kwek kwek is a very commong street food in the country, glad you liked it, although why didn't you use a stick to eat it since its greasy 😆
yey! you're in my hometown. enjoy! Dont get "dagitized" :) just finished watching the video and im sorry the street food was a big let down. The city is not known for its street food but with its restaurants. Hope you can find time to try a few of them before you leave. :)
Everything is a fail.🤮
No it’s not…
It really isn’t a fail dion I’ve replied to a few and mentioned ur video 5 favourite things and one was the food anyway every person has different taste buds u try everything and ur allowed ur opinion the only negativity on these comments is not u and Louie but others who have a channel or people who think ur moaning ur really not don’t explain yourself u can have ur opinion xx
ayeee this my mums home town! haha u guys gotta try the silvanas and the sans rivals fr (contender for the best filipino dessert). there's a couple of nice waterfalls in the area and u guys should also try goin to apo island and the bais sandbar/dolphin watching
