    Yes, there should be background illumination on all the buttons. Including on the doors. There's also LED lighting in the door handle to give light into the handles and the pockets.

      Yes a bit of care and it could be brought up to good. Just buy it at the right money and you’ll have some to spare to fix it when it goes wrong. Check for rust in the tailgate, rear sills and arches. Check the brake pipes at the rear where they head upwards from the rear of the chassis.

    Interesting that the noise wasn't there during your test drive and has 'just appeared' and getting noisier. Sounds like new belts may required or pulleys from the sounds of the happy bird! Do you think the dealer could have masked that sound? It's a little dodgy in that respect and especially after having paid £16 000. At that money I would expect two keys. Dealers are so dodgy...

    • @Back_Road_Hero
      @Back_Road_Hero  2 года назад +2

      Yes it was quiet on the test drive however the sound deadening is very good on these. It wasn’t until we drove it with the window open that we heard it properly. It would be no use speculating about the dealer. We’ll see if they come good fixing all the issues as it’s still currently back with them. Stay tuned for the next instalment. Ed

      It was mainly to the Full Fat forum and its Wiki page. It’s a treasure trove of info. I’ve had my 4.4 for 3 years and have gained a lot of knowledge that I’m happy to share. Check there are no oil leaks behind engine and onto bellhousing and then down to the tubular cross member underneath. Very common fault and usually around 80K miles. Whip off engine cover and undo 2 bolts to remove the pollen filter airbox then get on a chair and look down back of engine. If you’re near Hampshire I can do it for you
