People are so judgmental man. Imagine singing the same freaking songs every day for more than 40 years. Sure she probably doesn't mean the lyrics the way she did when she wrote those songs. Also touring is rough. The rocker lifestyle is very hard. Joan is the best man y'all wouldn't have an eighth of her stamina and skills 🖤
Part of their performance fee is based on hiding "road fatigue". Unless you do road trips like the Deadheads did back in the day, I believe it was JJ French who said: when an act comes to your town every night is the "last night of the tour"

saw them last night at fenway park, Boston. Joan Jett, Poison, and Def Leppard killed it!. motley was so bass heavy and relied to much on theatrics to take away the pain of having to listen to Vince sing. we left 45 into motley show. glad they closed that night and not Def leppard. too bad. I like the crue

@@jmarlo I have seen her live about a dozen times. Voice is not as strong as it once was but atleast it is still her singing not backing tracks like with KISS and a few other fans
if you want someone who's voice is def not the same as it use to be, Listen to Blondie, lol. Joan is still pretty freaking good for her age.

Axel Roses also doesn’t sing good anymore (definitely not good) and if you compare him with Joan so you can obviously realize that for her age and baggage she is still rocking it!! I wanted to surprise my dad with a concert from Guns n Roses but watching his last concerts I gave up because it was not the same experience anymore (in the other hand, the band does the good job).

She is adapting at it seems to be working at least for me.

I went to Fenway Park last night to see the show. I knew 2-3 Joan Jett songs going into the show. Her band was tight, had an amazing drum sound and the show was awesome. Sure , her career choice beats you up but Joan Jett was impressive. Poison up next, full of energy and sounded really really good. Great drum sound, full of energy. just a great show. they really were great. Def Leppard sounded amazing. they were tight, Joe Elliot still sings really well. a little bass heavy. Then motley crue came on. The sound man was probably a hip hop fan boy. the bass drowned out everything. the drums sounded horrible, too bad, I like Tommy Lee. Vince sounded terrible. we left 45 min early they were that unbearable. too bad. I like the Crue.
IMO: Joan sounds emotionally detached here.

Can I just say there's something really creepy about seeing 60-something year old Joan Jett sing Cherry Bomb? It's like that episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when all the old people got possessed and were acting like teenagers. Just very odd.
Sure, you can say it, but "creepy"? No. And not "odd" if you think about it for half a second. I mean, people sing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" when it's not. The entire book 1984 would be moot, useless, because that year's come and gone. With a name like "Jump with the Devil," you'd think you might have a better grasp on rock.
