    I dont think yall are familiar at all with Justin Baldoni because that is a man who actually walks the walk, from his time on jane the virgin he has been an excellent advocate for nontoxic masculinity and listening to women.
    Him being in touch with DV organizations and centering DV in the PR run while Blake is seeing the PR as a launchpad for her haircare line and talking about her fave Brittany songs... its CRAZY.

    Stop making excuses for Blake…. A lot of actresses don’t involve their husbands take over someone else’s project…

      Blake said she works on her husbands projects and he does the same thing too
      Justin would likely have been told this from the jump
      I don't any of this would happen if there weren't contracts in place to allow it

    Justin is the director and wanted to follow the book. Blake wanted to make it into a rom com. She is in the wrong. I don't know why ya'll are trying not to call Blake out because she deserves to be called out.

    I’ve always been a Blake’s fan but when I learned more about this movie and Justin and how he has been approaching the importance of DV, I am more on Justin’s side! Even in every single interview, Blake speaks the most… it’s not right not to have the director and main actor in these interviews… I think Blake made it all about her so far, and again, I love Blake, her fashion and all but you sense something… not once, I heard Blake points out DV!!! 🤷‍♀️

    They say they’re neutral but they (Fran especially) are heavily pushing one side of the narrative in this discussion. I get & agree with the point that they’re trying to make that none of us really know the truth so we shouldn’t villainize either. But in the same breath Fran is saying she side eyes Justin for being “too good” while offering Blake every excuse in the book. Plus conveniently leaving out her also promoting her own hair/alcohol brands with the movie & other things that could potentially make her look worse. I’m sure both parties made mistakes. I honestly don’t really have a dog in this fight. I think it’s fine to have your own opinion but just say that. It just seemed like an obvious bias being presented as “we’re neutral” to save face. And just because you don’t personally see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I don’t follow or really care about Blake/Ryan either way and have often seen people complain about them especially once the married on a plantation stuff came out.

      @@steph7139 yea she was bıtchy and pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️ that doesn’t make her evıl. I can make a 10 hour long compilation video of mostly men behaving rudely to interviewers esp during a press junket. You know what’s the most heard excuse from everyone in the comments: “those things must be annoying spending hours 8hrs in a day answering the same questions over and over again.”
      Blake seems to be insensitive and kinda conceited but it’s not the end of the world. She’s not in anyone’s top 10 favorite actress but suddenly everyone’s acting like her and Ryan are Hollywood kingpins who make or break careers 😂

    "It could have been a Hallmark moment," and them loving what Blake did speaks exactly to why we're all furious with the direction of the film/promotion. It is TRAUMA, GRITTY, PAIN, HEARTBREAK, ABUSE - nooooooonnne of this book/film should have been handled this way, its nuts. We're shitting on the fact that they left out LILLY FIGHTING AGAINST HER ABUSER whether it be verbally or mental gymnastics. NOT what film Lilly did, which was essentially "OOPSIE!" until the very end.

    people have hated blake and ryan because they got married on a plantation, and yes there are many people who have hated their schtick for a while. also forgot to mention that blake is promoting her own personal brands of hair care and alcoholic beverages in conjecture with the movie which is very weird, i don't think that's the studio's doing more so a her thing since she's a producer on the movie.

  • @tiffanyp6857
    @tiffanyp6857 2 месяца назад +7

    I get that y'all are trying to present both sides and present a neutral view point but you are also missing some facts like Blake has been adamant about promoting her new brand, her fashion, and her hair over the deeper and problematic themes of this novel/book which is deeply disappointing considering the importance of this topic. The marketing is a huge, huge issue and as mentioned can be potentially triggering to many women and men who may go in unprepared. And not only is it a creative difference but you have essentially a power couple vs a smaller actor/director which is interesting considering the press and how everything is suddenly coming out after all the backlash Blake and the cast are receiving from "inside sources." While we don't know the behind the scenes and likely won't get an actual idea of what happened behind the scenes, theres a reason why actions speak louder than words which is why this has become such a heated topic of discussion.

  • @inspirekymberly17
    @inspirekymberly17 2 месяца назад +14

    From what I’ve seen it’s less about the behind the scenes drama speculation and more about the way the marketing has gone, which we have proof of because we see it. We see Blake using this movie about abuse to promote her businesses and her husbands film and trying to make it a fun little girls night out movie. As you guys touched upon, maybe DV survivors have gone to see this without knowing what its about and been severely triggered by the content.

    Caping for Blake because she looks like you guys. It’s okay to have biases. The culture HAS always hated Blake and Ryan most notably since their plantation wedding. The people who do not look like you 💁🏼‍♀️ have found the two problematic for a while.

  • @Mellyfoofoo

    This is 100% a drama romance. Constructive criticism is great and needed in some situations, but now it’s turned into another witch hunt. And the “criticism” is not even ABOUT THE MOVIE ITSELF, but the promotion of it??? And for all those that are boycotting said movie, maybe you should actually go watch it because it’s very ironic considering the movie involved a women facing abuse and the actual woman bringing her story to life is now being abused online (and mostly by other woman). So yeah go with your friends and wear florals because Lily loves flowers and friends provide comfort and support.

    I feel sorry for the main actor of her last film Justin Baldoni who is also the director and producer of the film and holds the rights to adapt the book to the cinema. He has been working hard. She acts he doesn't exist in a very DISRESPECT and UNPROFESSIONAL way. She does no mention of him at all. And acts like she is the owner of his film. While he shows the reality of the film and speaks out against domestic violence very accurately. Very disrespectful for this actress who wanted to TAKE OVER his film he has been working for years. He talks about domestic violence, she's more about selling the film like BARBIE WITH FLOWERS and selling the beverage products and hair products along with the film's premiere. And the book writer selling nail polish and coloring books.
    HE is a class act, mature with high emotional inteligence. His interviews of the film are the best. He says her name as part of the film in a normal way.
    She wanted to cancel him, but it blackfired.

    Thank you!!! This whole Blake hate train is literally social media zombie/hive mind like. Suddenly all these videos of them on set and everyone is like “see Blake’s evil and thinks she’s in charge” video just looks like an actor asking for clarification and a director giving direction. If anything Blake looks anxious (not bad nor does it have anything to do with Justin).
    Social media is the new public square where people just tune in to witness public humiliation of this weeks/month/years celebrity sacrifice. Oddly enough this only happens with women 🙄 Meghan Markel & Meghan thee stallion, jlo, Blake, anne, Halle, Taylor, Hailey/selena (🤷🏻‍♀️weather dependent) jlaw & the OG Britney Spears. Y’all see a woman experiencing a high and just can’t stand it.
    Jameela said it best yall build the people up all the while ecstatic about how far they fall back down just so y’all can drag them and anyone in proximity through the mud. And try not to provide a “they did this thing pre2017 or whatever bc I’m sure there’s an equivalent instance of a huge male doing the same with little to no attention 🤷🏻‍♀️
    Absolutely sickening what the internet & far Stan culture is spreading

      They're saying that because he literally got the book ending changed after consulting with DV charities who believed that the ending and the will they won't they of them getting back together romanticized it further.

      I will recommend you to read the article in where he makes that statement in its entirety than just going base on commentaries you read online. The article makes it clear that his agent approach him about the book stating that it’s sexy and spicy. But when he read the book he cried. His overall reaction, shows the contradiction people have about the book, which is understandable because the book has been marketed as being sexy and spicy and romantic. Into you read it and realize that is not all roses as the book publisher and even Colleen Hoover make it out to seem.

    Hollywood hates strong independent women, and Blake is a strong independent woman. Blake was also a producer so she should have had a voice in the making of the film. Blake also had a clear vision of how she saw Lilly's journey. All the drama and "Blake hate" reminds me of when Barbra Streisand started directing and producing. Hollywood went ballistic because she was a creative force to be reckoned with and the men didn't know what to do with her. She always had a clear vision and stepped on toes to make it happen and Hollywood wasn't happy. It's sad that the message of the film is getting lost in all the petty drama.
