From what I’ve seen it’s less about the behind the scenes drama speculation and more about the way the marketing has gone, which we have proof of because we see it. We see Blake using this movie about abuse to promote her businesses and her husbands film and trying to make it a fun little girls night out movie. As you guys touched upon, maybe DV survivors have gone to see this without knowing what its about and been severely triggered by the content.

The article makes it clear that his agent approach him about the book stating that it’s sexy and spicy. But when he read the book he cried. His overall reaction, shows the contradiction people have about the book, which is understandable because the book has been marketed as being sexy and spicy and romantic. Into you read it and realize that is not all roses as the book publisher and even Colleen Hoover make it out to seem.
Hollywood hates strong independent women, and Blake is a strong independent woman. Blake was also a producer so she should have had a voice in the making of the film. Blake also had a clear vision of how she saw Lilly's journey. All the drama and "Blake hate" reminds me of when Barbra Streisand started directing and producing. Hollywood went ballistic because she was a creative force to be reckoned with and the men didn't know what to do with her.
