But did she live with Elizabeth beforehand? Elizabeth was married with two children. She also lived some years on Malta. Maybe Margret meant that she had to live with her mother alone, because her father just died.
Not related to the main premise of the video but it looks like Princess Margaret is wearing one of Queen Victoria’s diamond necklaces. It’s one of my favorites and it’s so spectacular. The abrupt intrusions into her life did take her father from her and yank her sister into another world. She was left to console her widowed mother. God bless her sweet soul 💞
Princess Margaret was dealt a dreadful set of cards from the beginning. She was the 'spare', unable to marry whom she wanted, terribly spoiled and hellishly bored and useless for most of her life.

I so sympathize and can completely understand with the very restrained and controlled life that the royals were imprisoned by; there was not a lot of room for freedom and tolerance for expressing one's true feelings and emotions. Princess Margaret, QUEEN Diana, and Prince Harry are and will always be my favorites!❤😪
She also knew are sister do well, loved for each other was tremendous, she knew Elizabeth not only in the sense of losing her as a sister but as a lively fun loving person. The Queen title brings with it self sacrifice that few know.
...& I had to live with my mother"... that right there gives insight into all the talk about how their mom was not so great of a person behind closed doors.
They were far from jealous. They felt very bad for her when they realized she had to take the throne. At the time, "poor Elizabeth" was a common refrain in the family.
Good grief! I thought she had been going to say that she just had lost her father and her older sister was getting married and moved far away, so she was the only daughter who would have to go to find a job to support her penniless mother. 🙄
Makes sense. She’s mourning the death of her father and she’s losing her best friend and big sis, in a way, as Elizabeth became the Queen. This is obvious when QE2 refused to allow Margaret to marry the man she loved. QE2 had to take on a new role and responsibility. I’m sure Margaret’s sister, Lilibet, would have loved to give Margaret her blessing to marry Peter Townsend, but QE2 could not allow it.
Its actually true because nobody will be able to enjoy a moment of achievement just after losing one of their parents, of course queen's coronation should be a moment of happiness for her family members but still they lost thier father so it was also difficult for queen to actually enjoy her own Coronation

She was devastated over losing her father and not living with her sister. Her whole world changed just like Queen Elizabeth but Princess Margaret was alone.
But did she live with Elizabeth beforehand? Elizabeth was married with two children. She also lived some years on Malta.
Maybe Margret meant that she had to live with her mother alone, because her father just died.
No. She wasn't upset. Despite their differences, Princess Margaret remained loyal to the Queen until her last breath.
Did you listen to the clip? It had nothing to do with spite against Elizabeth.
Not related to the main premise of the video but it looks like Princess Margaret is wearing one of Queen Victoria’s diamond necklaces. It’s one of my favorites and it’s so spectacular. What an incredible honor to have access to see and wear these historical jewel. I can’t imagine just seeing all the beautiful pieces at the Crown Jewels
She was gorgeous😍 omg
Sisters? Yes! But they were very different women.
Yes they were different but they loved each other...this is very important...
Yes,her sister.
They are very close each other.
Very logical. I think I'd feel exactly the same.
How sad, I had already guessed her reply. She had valid feelings as a human being, nm her being a royal. ❤
At least she was honest!
Elizabeth and Margaret were like buddies when they were young, following her father death and Elizabeth accession, Elizabeth have many thing to does, that time British empire was still alive and Elizabeth need to visit many commonwealth country such as camada, Australia, UAE, Hong Kong, Part of Africa, and Part of Oceania Island, especially Africa because they didn't have more food. Due to these things Elizabeth need to doing charities and visit them, while Margaret as a princess need to stayed back at united kingdom and was lonely, but she still have her mother till the end of Margaret life in February 2002. Both lived till both died the same year in 2002, Margaret on February, Elizabeth The Queen Mother on March
Смерть дочери Маргарет подкосила здоровье Королевы-матери Елизаветы.Ушли друг за другом! Успокойтесь с миром!!
That would have been very hard on the Queen.
That’s so true and we never think of that. They’re all still mourning and Princess Margaret has also lost her best friend and sister to become the new monarch.
Princess Margaret got a lot of unfair bad press because she lived life with her boots on. In truth she was a lovely woman who had tremendous genuine love for her family. The abrupt intrusions into her life did take her father from her and yank her sister into another world. She was left to console her widowed mother. God bless her sweet soul 💞
Nice comment...so true !!!
I was like this at my older sister's wedding. She was leaving and I would miss her.
Princess Margaret was dealt a dreadful set of cards from the beginning. She was the 'spare', unable to marry whom she wanted, terribly spoiled and hellishly bored and useless for most of her life.
"Had to live with my mother" Noticed that doesn't sound happy but regret
Her dad loved her she was young and in love with peter and her sister Was starting a family she know the are not kids anymore. I guess her mother would want to see elezebeth doing everything good and help with her grand children later to have a connection and and was always daddy little prinses ......She was beautiful
The grief for a beloved parent is no different for us,the common people as it is for royalty...we just get to grieve in private ❤
The two sisters loved each other very much
😮🤯 PRINCESS MARGARATE WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! WOW...!❤RIP BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS!! A REAL SOLDIER!!
She was so pretty
Margaret had suffered much in her life. The poor lady suffered so much in the shadow of Queen Elizabeth. Poor gal.
I understand that would of been really hard to loose your favourite people all at once.
Easily understood. The Queen Mother was not easy to get on with.
Her marriage was quite challenging as well.
If you’ve heard anything about The Queen mother that expression makes absolute perfect sense
A normal emotional state when one faces these changes.
The queen mother seemed like a real piece of work.
The last part of the statement, Margaret had to live with her mother sums up the ordeal!
The Queen Mother wasn't a jot to be around.
The late Princess was Her ROYAL Highness not just Highness.
She also knew are sister do well, loved for each other was tremendous, she knew Elizabeth not only in the sense of losing her as a sister but as a lively fun loving person. The Queen title brings with it self sacrifice that few know.
to be fair it does sound like a fair and just answer, so cannot be taken as proof she is, or rather was, a spoiled princess
This woman drank and smoked herself to an early grave instead of finding purpose in life.
Indeed she passed after all her loved one specially her sister they were together from day 1 ….
...& I had to live with my mother"... that right there gives insight into all the talk about how their mom was not so great of a person behind closed doors.
I think it was the "and I have to live with my mother" that really did it, if you know, you know
They were far from jealous. They felt very bad for her when they realized she had to take the throne. At the time, "poor Elizabeth" was a common refrain in the family.
The Queen Mother was not all that nice & very controlling. I can see why Princess Margaret would be unhappy
Good grief! I thought she had been going to say that she just had lost her father and her older sister was getting married and moved far away, so she was the only daughter who would have to go to find a job to support her penniless mother. 🙄
Living with her mother seems as if it was a very unpleasant ordeal
Oh,and that lil detail of she had eyes on Philip as well...sigh..helpless
Huh ???
