Can you possibly make a video of how this engine should sound like when it has it's timing chain + vvt replaced (correctly) recently?
any tips for replacing cylinder 1 exhaust lifter? looks like i have to take take the front cover off to take the tensioner off so i can sneak the cam up with out taking the sprocket off
I read Mazda did a re-call on this issue on the BL series 2 mps and the chain system was significantly changed/upgraded in models 2012-2013?
Can anyone tell me whether or not this same procedure can be done on a 2007 Mazda MPV 2.3ltr with the engine still in the vehicle, or does it need to be removed because of clearence issues ?
Its possible that now vvt gear dont have anymore this hole on gear?

Hi there good video! Am i correct in saying the 1.8 2006 miata/mx5 has the same engine? Im having this rattle issue and id like to have parts ready before i strip it down!

174000km and VVT plug fell out n exhaust cam timing is now also wrong....
What is rough price in getting job done?
He said in the other video between $1,500 and $2,500 with OEM parts.
I really don't think the oil pump chain and slider need doing till 300000km . However the cam chain and vct every 150000km .
